because shitXshit is not even a real fighting game
I’m hyped to watch everyone’s morale sink in person. lol
Great oversight, great experience.
Everyone does the same. Roll their eyes, unplug their sticks in disgust, and just walk off quickly haha
pretty much what this guy said, people are so selfish. Lol
People also like to judge things and people, i think deep down they get this sinister satisfaction for doing so.
you can’t really blame them, it’s human nature.
You know, the funny thing is that was Chris G with his team and play style that got me hooked on UMVC3 again
Indeed, is way more intelligent than the shit that you posted.
Lol.
Variety is always something good, you are also forgetting that not every game please to what someone could like, if anything we should embrace with happiness that we have different options that not only can cater to our taste, but also because it can serve as a gateway for new players to discover other games that they weren’t interested before on didn’t knew about it.
Even when SCV, VF5, TTT2 and DOA5 are 3d games, none of them play alike, everyone of them offers something different that some enjoy and others not
The same goes for SG, P4A and SFxT, not everyone playing P4A likes SG or SFxT
And more importantly, these so many releases like you like to call them are the usual suspects releasing their games as expected
Namco with their new Tekken and the new SC
Sega FINALLY releasing VF5FS
Tecmo releasing their new DOA
ASW releasing a licensed game between their revision of their own game
The only odd balls here are SG which is a new ip trying to find its own place and SFxT who is in the same ball of SG.
Compared to other years during the “dark ages” i actually see less releases even if we count the games that are only available in japan, we still have less games that before, also, if the japanese community manages to keep active scenes for not only the new games (wich are more than on this side of the ocean) but also old games, i don’t see how this can be a problem here, well i actually can see it, the so called FGC is mutating on a garbagestic e-celebrities thing that is managing to destroy it from the inside.
I wouldn’t be surprised if in less than 2 or 3 years the FGC enters a new “dark age” simply because is so auto destructive and blind.
I think it’s selfishness; so that they don’t have to play the game. So that they don’t have to feel bad not playing it, being good at it or missing out and not being a part of what would’ve been a booming scene.
My god those people dependent on money matches to make anliving playing games need to live on the streets. Seriously video games? Fucking hell get a job that allows you to pay for the games that you want to play. Fucking dumb kids.
Reminds me of that one video where some dude just lets go of the controller when he gets hit with the Spiral trap in MvC2.
Wishful thinking. That’s really all it is. People don’t like games for whatever reason, so they say it’s dying.
safe to ignore these people
they only play SF4 or Marvel (or nothing at all) so why should we care what they think
keep playing old games that you like, keep playing new games that you like
People think that if a game dies, those people will have to go to the games that are alive. In other words, they want people to stop playing that other game and start playing the game they are playing.
I can understand this to a certain extent. There used to be a strong KOFXIII scene here, but after P4A, the scene was just completely dead because all the players moved to P4A. I blamed P4A on its death and really wanted it to die because I thought that that would mean they’d come back to KOFXIII.
I see now that’s a stupid thing to wish for, though. Fair-weather fans aren’t worth bothering with. If they’ll leave for P4A, then sure enough they’ll leave as soon as the next 2D fighter with flash comes around too.
It’s bringing us one step closer to Capcom releasing MUGEN as an official fighting game.
I can’t wait to play as Omega Tiger Woods, bitches love Omega Tiger Woods.
You would be surprised.
Exactly makes a game dead? If game has low numbers online or , it’s consider dead even if people are playing it? Is game dead due to how old the game is? Is bad netcode the destruction of a good game?
FGC is became esports btw, the currently mentality that community has now is the exact same mentality that other esports community have. It doesn’t help that people bitch so much in twitter about how FGC doesn’t make as much as money StarCraft2/LOL/DOTA.
I don’t think it’s bad netcode alone. My local, offline scene regularly kills off games and goes back to Marvel. There are a few who will still occasionally play some P4 (that antiquated title), SG, or BB, but for the most part they just tell each other that a game is dead. And then they repeat it. Echo chamber effect, like many have posted in this thread already.
I’ve had conversations with them about this (usually w/r/t BlazBlue), and they refuse to see that it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. If people would stop saying a game is dead and actually play it, it wouldn’t be dead. But since they all know that the game is dead (b/c they’ve all told each other that the game is dead), they don’t play it, so it’s dead.
And then they justify killing it by saying shit like [insert title here] is a bad game with bad mechanics and no character variety. All while playing SF4 or Marvel 3. Which just… yeah. What the hell?
(I’m obviously just upset that they won’t play BlazBlue.)
“Nobody plays the game because nobody plays the game.”
^that shit right there, it makes me sick.
omega tom hanks DLC plz
To all the people who say that we should ignore what those fuckers say
Ignoring the problem solves nothing, it only let it to get worse
in the arcade days, any game was dead when the cab was removed and was condemned to obscurity.
Tekken 3 cabinet disappears
replaced with vending machine
“cool, i love Sprite-based games”
I honestly think the only game that i find “dead” this year is SFxT, everything else is pretty much alive in my eyes.
