Why are people so biased towards this game?

The 2nd part of the Opening post is like one of those front page user comments, reads like the poster is trying to start a flame war between the MK crowd and SF/MvC crowd.

No one knows if the dlc characters are on the disk or not. But on the demo it’s been hacked to hell and back. The entire character select screen is out, all portraits for vs screen, challenge tower portraits for all the unlockable characters that are on the disk. All the stages. All of these have been discover just from the demo.

When the retail version hits who knows what will be on the disk.

So it’s better that they have fully finished characters that they kept out of the game to make money off of them as dlc later on? It’s already been said that, with the game going gold in December(November? I can’t remember which) Jill just wasn’t ready, this was seen when the disk was hacked and she was made playable. That’s the reason she and Shuma were dlc, even though they were on the disk.
I’m not hating on dlc characters, to say that an s tier character should never exist unless it’s already on the disk is a stupid stance to make. If Capcom wanted to start development on X character today and spend the next two months making it godly, I’d buy it if it’s something I wanted to play. If not, I’d look for matches against it online to practice how to beat it. If the only dlc characters they made were scrub tier, what would be the incentive to buy them?

I’m a troll because I like games with fleshed out content? Eat ten dicks. Also, do yourself a favor and take some fucking English classes, please.

Are we playing the same game here? Online is terrible for this game. It’s like playing a completely different game. That shit ain’t legit.
I’d rather take my chances playing against the hypothetical S-tier dlc character at a tournament with no prior experience.

Ok no one with constant run on sentances is allowed to critque anyones grammer ever.

Well, Makoto and Valkenhayn are both really good characters in BBCS1 (with Makoto getting buffed and Valkenhayn getting nerfed in CS2). Not the absolute best characters, but they’re around high/upper-mid tier. They are DLC characters, and yes, they are allowed in tournaments (I think Final Round had two Valkenhayns in the top 8, if I’m not mistaken).

Of course, the BB scene is a lot smaller than the SSF4/MVC3 scene, but hey, it technically has already happened.

Also, MVC3 in a way brings flashbacks to Tekken 6. Great gameplay, terrible package. The whole “no Spectator mode” complaints reminds me a lot of the “no Command Capture in Practice Mode” complaints in T6. Also, both games have half-assed endings, poor menu interfaces, and below-average online play. Coincidence?

i ike the idea of DLC, i jst think capcom is handling it the wrong way. things that should be charged for:

extra backgrounds,costumes,soundtracks,missions.

things that should NOT be charged: extra characters.

fanboys like myself will still buy there favorite characters alt costumes and fans of the newer dlc characters will do the same if they end up maining them. in super the only DLC i bought were chuns and ibukis alt packs… still really fucking mad that i had to pay for “costume packs” rather than just the 2 characters that i wanted.

capcom and othr developers as well need to smarten up and thgink of the longterm rather than just being out for the quick buck everytime… there are such things as low markup high volume profits, and capcom doesnt seem to be making interesting decisions regarding that type of strategy.

30 year old marketing and pricing ideas and fundamentals need to be foregone. i’m becoming a disgruntled customer.
