I dunno, I think as DLC, Nemesis or Tyrant or the like could be used to get them in the game and past the radar (ERSB)
I’m sure there are rules against this kind of thing. Maybe the dlc could be rated separately, in which case Marvel and Capcom may not care, but I think chances are slim that dlc characters won’t go through the same filter as all of the others.

I thought that was probably the case, but the main problem is whether or not Capcom and especially Marvel would be ok with M rated dlc. In Marvel’s case especially, I really doubt they would be.

Is DLC even rated at all?
Not to be a buzzkill or anything, but shouldn’t you wait until the final roster is announced before starting that, we don’t know if the DLC character vote is in the game, who will be deconfirmed in the future, or are the votes solely based on deconfirmed characters?

If you think Capcom gives a shit about anything you post here, you’re wrong. They may acknowledge us sometimes, but what we say here changes nothing.
Does that mean it’s not worth saying anything at all? If Capcom doesn’t pay any attention to it, it’s still not like one more thread is exactly hurting anything here. If they do take notice, then that’s a nice bonus (not that I think they will, as I’m of the opinion that they already have most details related to DLC characters close to finalized at this point).

That’s not what I’m saying, I agree with you. I’m saying it doesn’t matter if a thread is “pointless”, we’re here to converse and talk shop, not boss Capcom around.
I HIGHLY doubt any of that was specifically our doing. UAD’s weren’t going to stay in a game where Marvel won’t let Cap double jump. EVERYONE was at arms about back+assist and honestly, Capcom probably knew it was a bad idea from the start and were just using it as a placeholder. Plus Niitsuma said both of those things were basically placeholders from tvc while they “marvellized” the game. And Mags and Storm were put in to appease mvc2 players, not to appease SRK.
I’m not saying it’s not worth voicing our thoughts and hoping Capcom listens. I’m just saying it’s not pointless to voice our opinions just because Capcom probably won’t listen.
Oh, they should care about what we post here. At least when it comes to DLC. They might not care if the game sucks, if your main (or both mains sigh) are nerfed to crap in the new update for some SF game or if Megaman didn’t made it in the initial roster of the game.
DLC is different, you don’t have to buy it, but it still costs money to produce. If DLC is released without any kind of demand for it, it is unlikely to sell well enough to justify the investment. And conducting some kind of marketing research is way too costly, so why not just ask people who do you want in the game? Capcom themselves can’t choose popular characters on their own, as was proven by Cammy’s overwhelming victory (with like 46% of votes) in “What character do you want to see in SFIV?” poll. If they knew how popular she was they would have included her without that poll. Now, I’m not sure if this particular thread gonna work. However, Niitsuma himself asked to request characters, then why not do as he says?
