Who Plays KOF The Best?

Now Emil, no need to insult him. I’ll ask Dune again, it’s no big deal. It was via MSN that I was talking to him. Well, here’s all I know. To me, he stated that Bata simply did not bring his stick. He also stated Bata was use to the sticks he was using due to multiple competition.

Anyhow, it couldn’t hurt to ask, right? So, why not.

Well even with that being said guess who’s fault it is- Bata’s, that still puts the blame on Bata does it not?

Yes it does game over…

And like I say this is a dead topic is it not, we got a Japanese in Mexico City in 3 weeks and we are still talking about JuareZ WarZone?

Thanks for the publicity Emil…you don’t even know it but you are giving me more and more publicity…

-DG

I already shot down this weak argument. Who’s fault it is (even if it’s Bata’s) for not bringing the right equipment, is irrelevant…if we are to compare the true skill levels of players, they have to be playing with their best equipment or the comparison is flawed. It’s analogous to me beating some pro 25-0 because he was using a different kind of equipment and couldn’t play - the victory would not be meaningful to me.

If you’re satisfied of that publicity making you look more and more like a fool, so be it.

Oh, good god, this thread again.

All I can think of when I see this undulating mass of shit is to quote Rhonda Farr’s old adage: “'Publicity, darling. Just publicity. Any kind is better than none at all.”

This is the truth, then it’s gonna get worse in 3 to 4 weeks just get ready everyone for the onslaught of Theory Fighter and other BS that’s gonna crawl up after Danke plays in Mexico City…I can see it now…Lord…

“But Danke was nervous, you can’t possibly call that a win!”
“He was in different surroundings than his prototypical environment in Japan, it affected his mental state.”
“Though he lost, his metagames were clearly superior to the Mexicans, all they do is hop and rush, they don’t adapt at all!”
“You can’t expect superior life forms to play on inferior sticks or play against inferior competition!!”

LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

And if Danke wins I will say straight up “Danke won! Congratulations to Danke for winning!!!”

All it is to it.

But no I bet alot don’t do that, they’ll get quiet or make excuses…or LOOK FOR SOME lol.

Oh yeah btw, Bata will be returning in the future, but for 98 and 98UM. We have rules now, if people we bring lose in the tournament of choice, they cannot return with our financial help for that tournament, but he can for 98/98UM, and when he’s here enter 2002 and 2002 UM.

However, if they win, they will be invited to be sponsored of some sorts the next time.

I know embarrassed it’s here.

God Dark Geese, how often are you going to bring up the ‘He forgot it it’s his fault!’

We ALL agree that it is his fault. Bata was stupid for not bringing his stick. But saying this PROVES that he would’ve been better with a good stick.
Say I go play golf with Tiger Woods. I get a golf club, het gets a sock to play with.

I win. Am I a better golf player? Of course not!
Is Tiger Woods an idiot for trying to play gold with a sock? Absolutely!
Does Tiger Woods playing golf with a sock say anything about his skill level? NO!

Yes this is an example blown to an absurd level but that isn’t relevant.

Due to unfamiliar equipment that Bata had to play with there is no way to gauge his skill level properly from his accomplishments in Mexico. Even with unfamiliar equipment he wasn’t a complete blow out. There is no serious way to give a proper evaluation how much the unfamiliar equipment influenced him.

Mate of mine can play Street Fighter just fine with a pad, although he’s a stick player; give me a pad and I might as well not touch the thing at all.

We simply can’t tell what is the case for Bata. SO, we’ll have to have a new showdown and this time with equipment Bata is comfortable with. Of course if Mexico still beats him consistently, Mexico is better than him!

So yes to conclude: Bata was a fucking retard to NOT bring his stick. NOBODY IS DISAGREEING WITH YOU ABOUT THIS.
But just like Tiger Woods playing golf with a sock is not representative of his skill level, bata playing on an unfamiliar stick isn’t representative of his skill level.

Can we end this stupid endless discussion now?

Not everyone agrees it’s his fault Phoenix…you see there’s someone named Emil that doesn’t agree with that, and I know there are people of the school of Emil that think the ONLY reason Bata lost is because he forgot his stick, to the point of disrespecting the Mexican players…that’s where there’s an issue with me, people putting these players on a pedestal like they are unbeatable and no way in Gods green earth they could lose, and yes I know prior to this tournament there were MANY that believed that around the world.

Quite simply as people tell me, that is why it’s still HOT TALK around the world, people were brainwashed to believe THEY were inferior, now they have reason to believe “Wait, give ourselves some credit, we know how to play, these people are human!”

And yes you are right, why continue to talk about this when we can talk about the NEXT SHOWDOWN in 3 weeks with Danke in Mexico City??

Why not direct our attention to that?

Game of Death 2010 in Mexico City June 19, 2010.

Also I thought we were talking about regular 2002 to which there was an Asian cab? Correct?

Many top players in Japan don’t carry a stick when they go to a tournament. Reason being all the sticks are pretty much the same in Japan. It’s not that Bata forgot his stick, he did not realize that he needed to bring one to play.

What?

It’s pretty clear your english is not very good. Me saying “it’s irrelevant whether it’s Bata’s fault” does not mean that I’m saying it’s not his fault…I just never cared about the topic of it being his fault or not because it has NOTHING to do with gauging skill level.

That being said, you’d think if you invite a foreigner into a country, you’d be able to properly accomodate him. You’d think somebody would have a Japanese stick there…

I have to admit I laughed out loud.

Well, I see a problem with this statement. So, if the Mexicans went to Japan, should they expect a stick be there for them as well? I’ve seen people go to tournaments that are used to pads and the tournament couldn’t even accommodate a Playstation 2 controller. See what I mean?

Still though Emil, do you really think it handicapped him that badly? I personally think he would have admitted that it hurt him pretty badly, not to mention that I’ve heard that the Mexicans were somewhat bothered with the 2K2 cabinet they were using since it was Asian. During the 2k2UM game, they were playing on a console and he was provided a Mexican stick. Anyhow, I’m going to ask Dune for some details so we can get things straight.

There’s one more thing I’d like to say. Socrates said before his death, “All I know is that I know nothing.” Perhaps we know just as much as that for now. For now, can we keep peace? We can let the fights decide who’s better and who’s worse. Also, can we agree to no excuses? I should ask, what would satisfy you Emil?

I was looking through YT and caught some matches with a player called Khannibal. I’m pretty positive some of the tournament matches where in Emil’s YT account. Does anyone know if this guy still plays? He seems to be pretty good at 2k2 and I even saw him beat up on Abraham pretty easily. But this was in 2006 and I’m guessing Abraham has gotten so much better since then.

Yeah, Khannibal is the best Joe around and he’s pretty crazy with him. He’s really good, but isn’t ranked one of the highest nowadays.

Damn, y’all still arguing about the whole Bata/Juarez WarZone shit??? At least everyone is on topic, lol…

Talk is cheap and match videos only show half of the story!

You know I personally miss the days when a man could accept his loss and just shake his competitors hand with a smile and remark over how the better man won that day. This isn’t a slam agaisnt bata of course, but all I will say is that he headed to a situation where he knew there was tough competition and he played on a stick which he was somewhat familar with. If the claim about the japs skill being so heavenly was true then I guess the circumstances wouldn’t have mattered because they would always win regardless, especially since any competition by comparison is so weak and lacking according to "some"people:looney:

Okay time to comment on a lot of stuff here:

First off to anyone that is wondering: Me and Luis Cha are scrambling hard and we think we can do it within 3 weeks: Get the guy a Sanwa or Seimitsu since that is what he uses and he has said that to us in email, we communicate practically every 30 minutes me and Danke via email.

If we get him a Sanwa or Seimitsu and that is what he has said he uses, than this seriously shuts any and all doubt of ANYTHING to rest.

He is a 2002 player arcade only, does not play on console…so this would rest assured shut everything up. Me and Luis Cha have a plan we are putting into place within a few days…

The Japanese player is just afraid he won’t live up to our expectations that is all (he even said he is going to try hard not to lose in the first round or lose the first match in reference to Bata), but we are on it no questions asked getting him the parts he needs and the tournament will be held at Luis Cha’s house.

EVO and Tech Romancer- You know it’s true and you know you’ve heard some of that crap in THIS THREAD. Just get ready to possibly hear it again. Once again it’s the few JAPANESE FANBOYS that ruin everything, not even these Japanese and Korean/Asian players see the same! They respect these Latin American players I was talking to Koreans the other day and they are ecstatic to come to Mexico to do battle, do battle with Salado etc and highly respect the work I have done with JuareZ WarZone!

Cibernatico- I spoke with Khannibal 2 days ago, he is RETIRED from KOF until KOFXIII comes out. There are a lot of players out there in Mexico still playing, it doesn’t revolve around the ones Emil has on his channel either anymore, hence as we are saying the competition in Mexico is constantly evolving…who use to be good isn’t so good anymore necessarily…things keep changing…

Khannibal also isn’t one of the best anymore, he got 4th in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico in the local tournament not too long ago, as I say things are still constantly changing in 2002 in KOF. I recall telling many of you this a long time ago, about Alexis and all that other stuff and now you all see I speak the truth!!!

The only way you see this stuff is to be there in person!

Desmond is right- Match vids don’t even show REMOTELY half of the story…you gotta be there and play in person or you lull yourself into false thinking by watching match vids…

And as I said, Bata will return yet again in the future along with others, this is just the beginning…and right now I’m focusing on taking care of my 2nd guest Dune has referred my way- Danke.

The tournament will happen in 3 weeks rest assured, me, Lecter and Luis Cha have a pretty good plan, and no Emil you can’t say Lecter has told you anything because he hasn’t been online lately and he told me that yesterday on the phone HAHAHAH.

3 weeks is to long, make it 3 days or something to hold us over lol. This is great news man, an dspeaking of the fluctuating player talent in mexico I have a question…who would you rank the top 5 guys from mexico as of right now?

EVO since Kula did win the Battle of Pride vs. Abraham, Bart and everyone, and though I am not too fond of the guy,he wins tournaments everywhere he goes doesn’t matter the type of sticks (as does Abraham but Kula wins more):

KOF 2002:

  1. Kula (Puebla, MEX)
  2. Bart (D.F., MEX)
  3. Abraham (Leon, MEX)
  4. Clavi/Andres (Both D.F., MEX)
  5. Ismael/Kensou (CD. Juarez, MEX, D.F., MEX)

I’d rank Alexis as of now in the top 10 to 15 maybe even 20 but there is still soo much out there to determine (I go based off tournament results in major tournaments ONLY)…and a large amount of players in Mexico City so this thing is far from over…just Ismael and Alexis can play anyone from Mexico City…hence they need to go.

Everything else is yet to be determined, and we are going to try and get either Ismael or Alexis plus Kane9999 and others to come to this so Juarez can claim Mexico lol in KOFXI…

That’s all I know for now…
