Who Plays KOF The Best?

But also bottom line is a win is a win is a win, excuses aren’t looked upon well after someone has lost in a tournament. A loss is a loss is a loss. So these weak excuses like “He was cold, nervous, he wasn’t playing well blah blah blah”

Thats WHY you play in a tournament, thats what sitting online CAN’T TEACH YOU, how to handle the elements, how to weather all that, the people that fair the best in tournaments are used to this stuff.

And wait, didn’t Bata play in SBO, the self proclaimed World Championship? Yet you are gonna tell me he cant handle the PRESSURE IN MEXICO BUT HE’S PLAYED IN THE “WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP?”

Get real!!!

To even say SBO is the self proclaimed World Championship is like saying Emil is the self proclaimed best player in the USA and Canada…LOLOLOLOL…

If this was the case then put me as #4 in NGBC in SBO since I beat Mago (Who got 4th in NGBC at SBO in 2005) in a Money match 7-4 in 2007 at EVO (on video).

Maybe SBO should invite Latin America before saying it’s a World Championship…esp in KOF…Probably Asia’s biggest threat (Latin America) isn’t even invited to SBO, now tell me how can you say it’s a World Championship due to that???

Latin America have to ask SBO to reserve a spot, just like how Swedon and Kuwait made it in

BoboGlory well still they can’t say its a World Championship…change it to EurAsian Championships…even Bata didn’t understand why Latin America wasn’t invited to SBO…Bata wants to come back to Mexico!!!

I will try to serve as a liason between Mexico and Japan and in the future hope Latin America will get a spot in SBO…should Mexico show whats up in Duelling the KOF next year, that should be enough evidence to convince SBO to give Latin America a Qualifying Spot starting in Mexico at least for 2002 for now…

Well, ignoring the fact that he had lots of trouble with the sticks (you forgot this right?), he actually did still win many matches while he was learning how to use those sticks.

Lol at using the reasoning “excuses aren’t looked upon” to ignore legitimate problems.

No one actually mentioned anything about Bata having problems with pressure, though he definitely could have since Mexico is a much different country than Japan. One Jap, tons of mexicans…

Edit: quoted wrong person

Huh… I should start reading what you quote… When did I say that third thing? I don’t think I ever did… Geese said that… I’m gonna give the benefit of the doubt and say SRK is screwing up, but… I won’t say much. I mean, I’m sure he’s use to pressures in other countries, but it does go against him.

Anyhow, the first thing I said I believe. Well, here’s the thing, you or I can get confirmation about the stick used during regular 2002. In UM, I believe he may have used a brand new, Mexican arcade stick.

Alright, let’s put a stalemate for a second as far as 2002 Original. Let’s just assume we don’t know yet, what cabinet was being used. If it was a Mexican stick, I’ll say that the Mexicans had an upperhand. For the Asian cabinet, I’ll say they were at an even match, just because if Bata felt discomfort, the Mexicans most likely did as well.

Now, for the sake of argument, our argument will take place with 2002 only, cool?

Now, for 2002, here’s what I have

Casuals
Bata vs. Abraham - Abraham wins
Bata vs. Lalo- Bata wins
Bata vs. Kane9999- Bata wins
Bata vs. Jaime- Bata wins
Bata vs. Travesty - Travesty wins
Bata vs. Alexis part 2- Alexis wins
Bata vs. Abraham part 2- Abraham wins
Bata vs. Ismael- Ismael wins

Original Tournament
Bata vs. Lecter- Tie at 1-1
Bata vs. Esteban- Tie at 1-1
Bata vs. Ismael- Tie at 1-1
Bata vs. Luis Cha- Loses 2-0 and is eliminated from the 1st round
Bata Vs. Severo - Tie at 1-1

Tournament 2 (There was a slight tournament after the first to give Bata another chance)
Bata vs. Abraham- Abraham wins
Bata vs. Lalo- Lalo wins
Bata vs. Ismael- Ismael wins
Bata vs. Esteban- Esteban wins

This is the tournament results. This is a review over the tournament videos. All matches were recorded and such. If he wasn’t comfortable, I guess he did fine. He won a few casuals and tied in the original tournaments a few times with people in his pool, then lost. Now, I’m gonna call fair game here so you and I could compromise. Let’s say that we both don’t know what cabinet they used.

Now, if they used the Mexican Cabinet for 2002 Original, I’ll agree that Bata was at a pretty decent disadvantage.

Can you agree that if the cab was Asian, at least both were at a disadvantage?

There’s a piece in the June issue of Arcadia about Taiwan VS Japan, also mentions KOF around the world.

Can’t really read much Japanese myself, so uploaded the bits mentioning other countries:

China:

Korea:

Europe:

Mexico:

Very very interesting KusoGaki thanks for posting that up.

You don’t get invited. Has anyone in Mexico asked Tougeki if they can hold a qualifying tournament?

TRT- Not that I believe, hence JuareZ WarZone was to call attention to that. Also because Dune has been so good with us, he is going to be the primary tournament we focus with, being Duelling the KOF. SBO is secondary to this tournament, but hopefully in due time Mexico and Latin America will be invited to SBO because for KOF they clearly need to be there!!!

After Nouveau Defi Prologue 2009 apparently NeoPenny was supposed to talk to them about a Qualifying Spot, but I do not know how that went and I am just going about my own plan on doing things.

This is the clash i look forward to the most, fuck everything else, this is it! If i happen to be in Australia next year i’ma take a detou justr to see this event.

Eddur- Yeah one of the Qualifying Spots has TENTATIVELY already been given to Abraham for winning JuareZ WarZone.

I am trying to decide if the next spot should be given to Bart for winning the D.F. National that I donated $100 to sponsor, since Bart won and according to Luis Cha and Abraham they rank Bart as the #1 player in 2002 in Mexico, with Kula being second according to them.

Again i have such a tremendous amount of respect for pulling this off, otherwise it never would’ve happened. Wouldn’t it be something if every continent can send their best players eventually, then it would be a true world championship

Best players from:

-Oceania
-Asia (apart from host Japan)
-Europe
-North/Central/south America
-Africa

Emil, if you are so good you could actually qualify for the main tournament in Japan and make your continent proud!

I would like to see that too personally:bgrin:

This is actually the goal Eddur in the long run. After talking to many, we are planning a **Monstrous **World Championship in Morocco next year that I am hoping will feature Kane9999, Mr. KOF, Ivan from Chihuahuakof, some Europeans from UK, Italy, Greece, Spain, Abraham/Bart, Dakou/Xiaohai, Chinese/Japanese/Taiwanese (ET?) and this is independent of what I am talking about.

What I may do is due to winning JuareZ WarZone and the D.F. National, I will make Abraham and Bart play a ft10 to determine who will get their ticket paid for to go to Morocco next year, that’s what I may do and then make JuareZ WarZone 2011 the official qualifier for DTKOF next year.

But I’ll probably meet and talk with Lecter today to see if we can’t work this all out.

Also awaiting word from Dune I will want JuareZ WarZone 2011 to be a Qualifier for Duelling the KOF, and after he gives word I will start advertising it early so we can get people coming to Mexico to Qualify for Duelling the KOF, so maybe we will use that one/two? spot/s for DTF 2011 I dunno yet gotta decide, maybe this year was just to plant the seeds for all this because we also have the Raging Storm World tournament that may happen in 2011 depending on how the following goes:

  1. Raging Storm SoCal US Championships 2011 possibly featuring Dune himself!!
  2. JuareZ WarZone 2011
  3. Duelling the KOF 2011

Depending on all these tournaments will determine how everything goes. Right now I am on a plane headed to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico Kula yes has bailed out like usual, but Ismael wants to play me in get this guys- FATAL FURY SPECIAL. Also gonna see if we can’t get Alexis vs. Esteban Part II while I am at it.

Bottom line is not just on SRK, but around the world people are STILL talking about JuareZ WarZone, so the seeds have indeed already been planted to give other countries a chance to prove themselves, such as what looks to be Mexico vs. Panama early August in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

lol, gonna need that FFS footage as soon as it’s in hand. Make sure to get all the casuals too, and make everyone play.

That aside, pretty ambitious stuff man. Really looking forward to seeing how DTKOF plays out.

Don’t forget about Middle East, plenty of fans there

Well Mezzo: Update, as of now I have beaten Ismael in Real Bout Special and because I beat him in that he doesn’t want to play FFS lol.

But he is a monster in 2002 UM now after training extensively since JuareZ WarZone, his 8 years of experience in regular 2002 has made him as of right now the #1 player in CD. Juarez, Mexico in 2002 UM. He makes you consider how good Angel STILL IS, even with her nerfs, you have to see how she’s used despite her nerfs and you will see why she is NOT low tier, she is High Mid Tier in the right hands.

Ismael also says he’s seen someone named Rino from Guadalajara he believes is #1 in KOFXI in Mexico, who he says even after seeing me and Kane9999 play can beat us in KOFXI.

He says Rino is the same in KOFXI as Kula is (Yes he’s #1 in 2002) in KOF 2002.

So I will consider making a Juarez vs. Guadalajara tournament in Guadalajara to which I hope Mr. KOF will come, it will be to find out who is the #1 overall player in KOFXI in America AND Mexico. But we will also have other tournaments such as 98, 98UM, 2002 UM etc.

Why? The Real Bout series and the Fatal Fury series are completely different games…

Anakron- I think he got scared from the Mai beating in Real Bout Special vs. his Bob Wilson/Terry lol…I’m still gonna try to convince him to play it now, but otherwise I’m gonna play with him in 2002 UM, he’s VERY VERY STRONG now in 2002 UM.

Ismael also loves KOFXI so he’s gonna learn that game, and I am going to plan JuareZ vs. Guadalajara- the Bi-National KOFXI Championships in Guadalajara either this year or next year, because in Guadalajara ALONE Ismael says there are 13 high level KOFXI players, with Rino being the strongest and despite seeing us play Ismael says Rino is #1 in KOFXI in Mexico.

So if I can get Mr. KOF, that’d be me and him repping the USA (Me Juarez too duh), Taekua representing Monterrey, the 7 of us repping Juarez, the 3 from Torreon, the 3 from D.F., Kula from Puebla, and the 13 from Guadalajara I guarantee the highest level of KOFXI found in both the USA and Mexico in one tournament!

Will keep you all posted!

-DG

RINO aka YASHIRO-KAILLERA.

He’s a good player but pretty unlikely to be the best in Mexico and if he is, Japan should have it easy topping that.
