Who Plays KOF The Best?

Paraphrase (pronounced /?pr?fre?z/) is restatement of a text or passages, using other words.

Except u made up what was said so…

**
Sorry, people actually know and like Emil. Who the fuck are you again? **

Tournies>Online so try again

**Selective reading much? People interpret things differently and it’s pretty obvious that you’re just coming out to say that you’re good at games with no proof of it. No one even really cares dude. You’re a Johnny Dounuts who’s basically saying that you’re a good online player who doesn’t talk shit and doesn’t talk down to people. That has nothing to do with the topic and nothing to do with what was going on. You need to take some ritalin before you post and you need to read before you post, if you don’t do that already. **

There is nothing to interpret, u ignored what was said and put words into people’s mouth. It was just jumple trolling dude…

Yes, because I’m telling you to shut up and stop being ignorant. I have no problem with disagreeing with people who actually know what they’re talking about and can back up what they’re saying. Since you can’t do any of that and you don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m asking you to shut the fuck up.

There is nothing to be ignorant of, emil hasnt gone to tournies and there is nothing to validate his claims aside from ur dick riding. All u have done is *** this thread up with useless commentary regarding emil’s mythical playing ability whilst ignoring the points brought up against him…if u wanna suck his cock then go ahead but at least try to do it in private lol. Besides, who the hell are you…do u play KOF and are u even good. Why the hell would ur experience agaisnt emil matter, ur not even a good KOF player so it doesnt matter if u lost or won agaisnt him.

**Saying that your Fei Long is on par with Sirlin’s is a pretty strong suggestion. And yes, it implies by default that you are Evo ready. He called your bluff, he didn’t misread. **

I said some people who have fought agaisnt my fei and who have fught agaisnt him have said that. He didn’t call me on anything, he just trolled and made a lie about something I didn’t say…learn to read.

Also Diety something to consider how your particular strategy wouldn’t work:

What if you are playing against a sandbagger in casuals/tournaments?
**
Professional Sandbagger vs. Professional Sandbagger: **This is where watching match vids TRULY GOES OUT THE WINDOW. How do you know if the characters you are watching in casuals are the ones the person mains? How do you know if they are going all out with those characters?

So take what Diety said which I do too (I play mostly random at times to keep people on their toes for this very reason AFTER I’ve warmed up), and in a Sandbagger vs. Sandbagger matchup it truly becomes a chess match in the tournament.

You play with your backup/casual characters but you assume they are playing with their MAIN characters…If they are a TRUE Sandbagger I’ll tell you right now:

-They aren’t playing with their MAINS
-They are playing like 50% with their mains just to either warm them up, and/or feel you out and mindfuck you.

So look at it like Poker, the best players are Sandbaggers…they put on their best POKER FACE- Sandbag face…you don’t show the people your stash unless everyone is at such a low level below you that you could get away with that!!!

So this is where the real chess match happens…because what happens if they show you different characters in the tournament than they did in casuals?

This is where Adaptation, Experience and Exposure ARE HUGE!

See me. If you can’t debate like a normal human being (which you aren’t, you inbred bastard) then see me.

Yet you yourself said that you’re an online player. Contradictions much?

Well you wouldn’t be telling everyone that if you didn’t believe it did you? And who’s to say that you aren’t making it up? Stop lying and contradicting yourself. If you feel so unfortunate that I trolled you (which I didn’t, I straight up insulted you because you have no clue what you’re talking about) then feel free to contact a mod. I’m sure they wont care since this is your second account anyway.

P.S.: GGs. Stop ruining this thread with your pettiness and let the real players talk.

EVO What do you feel about what I posted in regards to style? ( A good way to change the topic)

Ill drop this after I put that faggot troll in his place…so here it goes. First off I made this thread to debate the best players at KOF, emil was the one to hijack this thread with his worthless justifications about why he is the best KOF02 player in NA and why he refuses offers from top players like john and DG. I made a comment that was a direct response to emil’s post where I basically state that being a good online player means nothing and that anyone can have a good reputation online (like me in this case).

Anafag then comes in with this aggressive emil dickriding, and then proceeds to “paraphrase” comments about me…but in reality he isn’t really paraphrasing so much as he is just lying deliberatly about what I said or didn’t say. You trolled me dude and I took the bait…I mistake I will never repeat again. I will close by saying this, when u get done sucking emil’s cock and develope some common sense…we might be able to have a real convo. Untill then, eat a dick and GTFO. FYI, incase u think im lying about my HDR status…well you are more then welcomed to ask around or better yet play me in HDR mate…ciao loser.

DG: I agree completly with what you said, do u personally sandbag a high level?

Lol? YOur memory is severely distorted. It was DG (or one of his clowns) that brought up the irrelevant topic about me not playing in tournaments and shit. You know, the usual thing that happens when people don’t know how to debate the topic at hand, they bring in irrelevant topics to somehow justify a point.

Seriously what the Hell is with some of you and constant talk about dicks? It’s like everything revolves around dick. And the funny part is the same people calling others “dick riders/suckers/lovers/whatever” are doing the same thing.

Oh, the irony.

I don’t know who plays KOF the best but I do know ONE thing: You guys surely love talking about dicks. Looks like we have our very own Not Another Gay thread in the KOF board.

:u: Oh noez , but seriously guys this shit is getting old…

  1. Be careful about the use of the f word in regards to people that are homosexual, that’s a bannable offense.

  2. I sandbag at the level depending of the person I am playing, and you can tell that just from the KOFXII casuals at the DFW tournament I’ll be putting up later, I’m sandbagging 100% of the time, just sandbagging at a high level because there’s some skilled players I was going up against.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
checks your rep and your visitor messages
:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Anyway, what would exactly constitute ‘sandbagging at a high level’? Playing a team you don’t usually play hard or playing a team you normally play and going soft? ‘Sandbagging at a high level’ is an oxymoron, don’t you think?

Yeah it could be viewed as a oxymoron…but sandbagging at a high level means not playing your main team, playing other characters/teams at something relatively close to tournament level vs. your opponent.

Also to illustrate clearly that I was sandbagging: I played vs. Spin4u a lot and in casuals he’d win sometimes, and I’d never OCV him, but he demanded to see my best team, and I told him I’d show him it, but I wouldn’t play my best. I told him I only play my best when there’s money on the line.

So he thought my best team was “okay” in casuals, and we had a PENNY MONEY MATCH…what’s the result??
**
O…C…V.**

That doesn’t really prove anything…it can happen even if you weren’t playing any better during the money match.

a feel this new topic is getting in the same direction:sweat:

Who plays Kof the best?

Its very hard to broadcast an opinion and not force it on others as absolute. If anything, I find myself watching more Asian players and matches becasue the diversity is alot larger and I do feel that the gameplay itself is abit indepth. In saying that, The South American players are quite good in their own right and the characters that they use are in the minority. It does get boring to watch and between the characters that they do use, there is nothing really that much that differentiates between of the other players.

So to me I feel that that South American and Asian players are good in there own ways, but I believe that Asians would have the upperhand overall since they have more exposure to alot more of the cast of characters, which in turn develops a better overall / adaptable playstyle.

To actually ask “who is the best?” and say “xxxxx is the best” is just trivial and all the answers to that would be just opinions in the end.

On the sandbag question, I dont believe in sandbagging at all. I believe its a poor excuse way to play especially if you are losing. I dont know of any pro players that dont play properly or lose on purpose just to gather info on someone else playstyle, or just to withhold your own. It as if you have only one way of playing and in turn make you linear when it comes to actually playing. Just sounds and looks as if you have no confidence in what you can do or what do if you if you are getting out played, and rely on “no showing your trump card”. Its also a risky move to sandbag and then think you can beat someone if you are coming from a lost. Psychology can be a powerful thing and letting it slip by giving an opponent a sniff can be the difference between winning and losing when it matters.

For most of the players here I dont think they have actually played an opponent that would be considered “pro” level, because if they did, sandbagging wouldnt be option. Even if it were casuals.

Thats my opinion on the matter and Im not lpointing fingers or getting into an arguement over trivial things.

#1- Agreed, it’s also trivial with the answers, you don’t know for sure until it happens in person that is all.

#2- Thanks for your opinion, trust me no argument is gonna happen not on my watch DC. :china: I know quite a few pro players that do it actually, in the SNK circuit, the Tekken circuit in both the USA and Mexico, the Capcom circuit etc. It’s just a different way of thought. Me and MightyMar were just talking about it too, I was telling him how in the beginning most of the time you’re a go hard or go home player, then as you get to a certain level where you feel comfortable with your skill, you then become a sandbagger, you use other characters to get warmed up and feel out the competition, while at the same time saving your top stuff for tournaments and money matches.

Also about the psychology thing, yes this can be the case, but that’s why this strat takes a lot of practice, and I do mean a lot of it, everytime I play in casuals I’m doing it, thus I get ample practice, so yeah in the beginning the psychology part can come into play, but once you get used to the style and practice it all the time then you got what you got.

Matter of fact, something I do personally, I not only record all my matches in casuals, but I then watch them all if I have the time, because video doesn’t lie, if someone has tendencies even with the characters they are using even if they are sandbagging the video will tell you.

I do this, jra64 (got 2nd in Tekken 6 at AB2010 and if he’s back in full force he’s no doubt a top player in Tekken in the USA, he beat JOP in the tournament) does it (We co-developed the Lubbock Sandbagging Art while I was at Texas Tech getting my Bachelors to find ways to improve when you have little to no competition!!! Then I finetuned it into my own thing for what I personally do, but if you look what he does and what I do its basically the SAME THING).

Now this is me speaking personally here: In my own personal position for example I know most of the time due to just my name alone in casuals people are gonna show me their best, so I know I can feel people out by selecting various teams that I know without a doubt I ain’t playing in the tournament to get warmed up, get in a groove etc. So I use that to feel people out since they normally show me all they got…

Thanks for the contribution DC. Your opinions and everyone else’s are valued.

ruwaka- I won’t let it go in the same direction…

-DG

Why is it called “sandbagging” anyways?

I think the term originated from racing. The cars would ride near the walls made out of sandbags to achieve a lower qualifying time or for whatever reason.

Lol, what you just said killed everything you’ve been talking about in this thread pretty much. How could you guys miss this slipup.

Back in the day it was called Hustling lol. Ask your dad about it, he’ll tell you that’s been around for decades…

I think sandbagging can work with lower level players.

I can picture myself using it to somebody I know I can beat or using it against somebody who is just slightly better than me but I don’t think this can work in top level with the pros I can’t imagine this stuff actually working.

although I can’t speak about that 'cause I’m not a top player myself so I don’t know
