Who Plays KOF The Best?

  1. Definitely. Grabs fucking suck in XII.
  2. Agree. Though we need it to go back to the system where for each character you lose, you get another stock.
  3. Can go both ways. It makes it more strategic since you can’t overabuse it like b C+D but some people like the parry style of the new one. Perhaps making it like advanced/extra?
  4. I’d say at least 2 SDMs for most characters. Add some variety.
  5. I agree. I found the controls in XII to be the smoothest. It just handled better then 2k2 and XI for some odd reason. I don’t know why. Maybe I’m too used to 98? But 2k2 just seemed a bit more stiff to me compared to 98.
  6. Yeah the C+D introduced some good new possibilities and charging it was also a good new step.
  7. Clash needs to be fixed somehow. It just seems a bit off. Especially with some attacks not properly clashing sometimes.
  8. Disagree. Custom combos need to be REMOVED. They ruin the flow.
  9. Agree. These pushbacks need to be put back in.
  10. K’ isn’t unique enough. I can agree with Duck King, Blue Mary and Oswald, but Mai? Why? Add some more unique characters like Heavy D, Heidern and so forth.
  11. Disagree. We don’t need people going back to the bottle. Keep the new Iori and don’t add the old dial a combo Iori back. The new Iori is actually interesting and isn’t a Kyo ripoff.

You’re right that we need more movesets and more combos, but for god sakes not all of them need to be 97-98 style. Some characters have a better moveset in 2k2 and XI so it needs to be a melding of 97-XI depending on characters. But some characters DO need to stay in the XII style. I like the new Iori and I actually enjoy the big differences between Ralf and Clark now. Though Ralf should still get his RALF KICK back along with the air dive. Clark needs all of his throws back. Kensou is should be between his 98 iteration or his XII iteration. Chin needs his alcoholic jug and his older stances back. Joe needs to go back to 98-2k2 iteration so his damn tiger kick spam will end.

They did say that a new KOF XIII would be coming soon and asking for all the characters back is asking a hell of a lot. So unless they redo the sprites again Blazblue style, I wouldn’t expect too much with the KOF XII style of sprites where all that shit is hand drawn.

(physical form)

Poor Emil, he’ll/she’ll never learn AND doesn’t pay attention.

Mai appeases the “fans” and guarantees an extra 100-200k games sold. They don’t even have to give her moves that work.

Yep. Mai fans don’t play Mai. They fap to her sprite.

When is this? How have I dodged them? I’ll be more than happy to play them and they can sign up for these tournaments. You’ve got to be very much mistaken, I even asked Fubarduck last time we had Tenka if we wanted to enter the Tenka tournament but he said he was too busy (2007). I also haven’t dodged them at all. Also they took first or second at one of my events? (Texas Showdown in 2005 when Fubarduck got 1st and AZNHitler 2nd is NOT one of my events!) When was this? I can’t think of one tournament at ALL I have held where they have taken first or second at my particular events. You can ask Buktooth and a lot of them now, I have been trying to get them to play but they are always too busy at EVO and the tournaments I want to run Tenka at etc.

I mean I had to to pry Buktooth to sign up for Garou MOTW at Raging Storm Phoenix 2009 just like I had to pry Justin to sign up for Garou MOTW at Raging Storm 2009. These players know I have been asking them to play constantly, but they have all told me they are too busy playing other particular tournaments.

You can tell any of them right now if they feel they can beat me in Tenka I’d be more than happy to money match them to prove my point.

So I really don’t know what you’re talking about here…at all.

Also if you talk about denying Fubarduck into a tournament at MWC? He woke up late when the tournament had started just like HeartNana did, just like Buktooth did, and when the tournament has already started it has already started. Nothing different than when at EVO 2k8 when I denied further entry into KOFXI after the tournament started. I told people it would start at 11:00 AM, and they decided to wake up later than that, so they were DENIED entry into those tournaments because they showed up late.

**Bottom line is be on time!! **Now at EVO 2008 I held 98UM and Fubarduck was on time and paid his way into the tournament so guess what? He entered! Purifyweirdsoul knocked him out of 98UM.

I give everyone the chance if they agree to be on time and pay their money like anyone else. If they can’t be on time I will not hold the event for them! Thats just the way it goes!

At NDP 2k9 I didnt tell you guys but I was pretty damn close to DQing Kane9999 from KOFXI because he was eating…and I told him on the phone I would do that.

I don’t play favorites with anyone…you show up on time…or you get DQed unless you are in another tournament.

No exceptions, I dont care if you are Fubarduck, AZNHitler, Justin Wong, Buktooth, Kane9999 or G.O.D, show up on time or get Dqed. Thats not fair to the others that show up on time to wait on these “top players” thats why a lot of them show up late, because some organizers play favorites and let them come in 3 hours late into the tournament…

Now guys this is a site I found I think you all should take note off:

http://www.hardwoodparoxysm.com/2009/11/18/superbasketballfightingexcitementbattle/

Credit is given where credit is due. Don’t be a hater.

As I say he’s a good player online, but that means NOTHING offline. I’ve even said I respect Emil as a player online, and I respect online players…but he gives online players a bad name. There’s plenty other GOOD Online players that dont talk nearly the shit he talks. I respect them alot more than Emil.

The way Emil talks he has to come back that up, and when you talk the way Chris Hu did at EVO World 2009 then yeah you gotta produce or STFU. That goes with the territory.

Don’t talk the talk if you ain’t gonna walk the walk or it doesnt matter how much “skill” someone has, it means NOTHING and it won’t get respected.

I wouldnt disrespect Emil if he didnt disrespect me…Mr. KOF is the same way, we don’t disrespect someone unless they disrespect us…

If Emil was to stop talking about me to this day this would be over…but he aint gonna do that…His EGO is too big, he talks down to people like me and Mr. KOF like we aren’t worthy to even kiss his feet I’m sorry I dont care how good you are, you dont earn respect that way, you gain enemies that way…so when you put yourself on that high of a pedestal you gotta come prove yourself or you’re full of shit all it is to it.

If he didnt talk the shit he talked he wouldnt get hated on like he does think about that. He talks so much shit I expect nothing short of a GOD should he ever come out and play…he’s arrogantly brushed himself up to something like that…I think he’s scared of losing because he wouldnt live up to the billing he’s put on himself…but thats what happens when you put yourself as God above everyone else.

Well I just told you about how that went down. Buktooth wasnt too happy about not being able to enter Tenka, but you can ask Webster, we called his name on the loud MWC megaphone three times, even saying that if he didn’t come down he was gonna be DQed and we would start the tournament without him.

Buktooth said he didn’t hear it and I believe him. But still I have to be fair and those people that were there at the tournament on time so the tournament had to start. It’s nothing personal what so ever against them, it’s just I have to run the tournaments on time.

You can even ask Jason Wilson (the Organizer of MWC) about this because we asked him if we could use his loud megaphone to call Buktooth’s name, and thats what we did.

The irony of that statement is I’m gonna see Buktooth in a few days at the Dallas tournament so I will discuss with him about this. I may even film us having a discussion about it talking about it and put it up on youtube with the rest of the DFW footage just so you know it happened and we can get to the bottom of this once and for all. I don’t believe in letting stuff like this go…I believe in handling it like real men and getting to the bottom of it once and for all.

Then I’ll contact Fubar. I apologize if they were mad or feel like I’m just keeping everything to myself but they didn’t show up on time. That’s all it is to it. Tell Fubar once again I say "I’m sorry about that but I gotta run my tournaments on time. Tell them I plan on running a Tenka Revival tournament at EVO World next year and I encourage you all to come enter the tournament, but please be advised that if you do not show up on time for the tournament when it starts then I can’t promise that you’ll get in.

If you show up on time then you’ll get in the tournament just like you got in at 98UM."

Tell him that next time you talk to him. That’s really about it. I run my tournaments like Jason Wilson does…you show up late you don’t get in the tournament, all it is to it. If you are in the tournament and I call your name quite a few times and no show, you get DQed.

SST for EVO 2010!

Lol, I don’t talk about you unless I’m replying to a post where I see you posting my name. I’m not as low as you are to go around mentioning my name in practically every post you make and then purposely not reading my responses (in which I point out how you’ve fabricated some point or misconstrued it).

Nice try.

HAHAHA lolwut

Well as the creator of this thread, my intention was to spark debate over who people consider the best and for what reasons…but sadly this has turned into anything but my intial intention.

Emil: Look dude, I don’t know you personally nor do I have any reason to dislike u. Bottomline is this…we all know the asian players are great but we also know the the latino’s are great too. Infact IMO, I would say KOF has a richer pool of talent then any other fighter currently avaible. It’s a great thing for this game that we have so many awesome players…but the way u speak about the asian players just makes me want to hate them and u actually soil there reputation more then anything.

DG: I agree completly with ur stance on online vs offline. I am exclusivly a online player because I have no competition in my area, but I am bold enough to admit that my online accomplishments mean nothing in the real world. I would consider myself a rather awesome player online in HDR, infact I would consider myself evo worthy in this regard. The difference though is that I can acknowledge the difference between thinking im evo worthy and doing something about it to validate this assertion. Emil seems happy to just play the "theory fighter"card without putting any effort to put anything into practice…which is a shame since I hear is is a good player.

No, you have no competition in your area because no one fucking likes you.

both

if you want to learn every aspect of the game then your goal is even more difficult and it will require you to get out of your home and go to some place in asia to play with the best in a regular basis. The best play in arcades not online and I don’t know if you know how to play with a stick because you’re gonna need it.

kof is a game of practice not only knowledge. If you have already beaten all of 2DF/GGPO regular kof players then you’re just limiting yourself.

that is a different topic all together. I think this is what you’re failing to see emil. These external factors matter and do make a better player the one who master this pressure. That’s how it is and it will always be until japan and asia drop arcades and decide to play and make tournies online only.

you’re saying external factors are not problem for you but saying it, is more easy than actually doing it, and if you don’t have previous experience with this you’re most likely to experience it in the moment.

Of course the external factors matter, but they are external to the topic “who is the best in kof”. Even if mastering external distractions is important, I would not feel confident in my win if my opponent choked due to external factors.

Didn’t say that. I just proposed what is necessary to not be nervous in a match.

I found one guy who knows very well Monterrey community. I’ll tell him about your project.

Ufff!! Ufff!!! biiiig words here.
Those guys are monsters.

Damn I would like to go to this tourney, but I have no money nor time.

That is what people want, well the non KOF fans obviously. I’m but extremely happy with KOF12 sprites.

(evil laughs)

It’s obvious that Emil is AFRAID of offline-challenge.

Who exactly are you and why the hell are you trolling…are you that desperate for attention. The only thing you have done during the entire duration of this thread is ride on emil’s dick with hsi fabled"best KOF player in NA"delusion. On that note, eat a dick good sir.

He didn’t realy say anything about me being the best.

Btw…didn’t you say you would come on 2DF to play me? What’s the date on that?
