Who is your favorite character of all of the fighting games you've played? Why?

Balrog and M.Bison

I gotta go with Ukyo Tachibana
a man dying from TB and he’ll still cut you to ribbons, how can you not like him?

I forgot to mention Nu. I can’t explain why I love her so much, I kind of just do.

These two are kinda similiar in style but… K’ and Setsuna.

K’ is just badass. Clad in all leather, throwin’ those sunglasses and giving the opponent thumbs down. His gameplay and moves have a great feel to them too imo. Kinda shoto-ish moves, but way way more awesome and with all these optional follow ups (the across screen kick into low slide, the flames into flame kick or projectile, the shoryu into kick down…)

Everything Setsuna does and says fits so damn well with the music and mood of LB2. And he has an owl. And one of the .
Gonna try to put this epic pic on a stick: http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-02/lb-setsuna-yuki.html

Bridget is cool too. Quirky character and fun to play as. “Me and the killing machine” = awesome super name.

Sentinel

who needs to identify with their favorite character or find them sexually arousing when you have the funnest turtle stompin motherfucker on the planet

King from Tekken, no contest and why;

Gets out of bed, drinks a 5th of scotch, puts on a cheetah mask and fucking checkered tie to go to work as a back alley chiropractor from hell. His style and his costume are legitimately crazy. He looks and acts like an alcoholics anonymous nuthouse reject.

Not a mention yet in this thread, which kind of surprises me, but I can kind of see why not.

He is usually hated by most players because of his difficult combos, like most 360/ grapple characters, if you get good with one, it’s all over.

I like him the most, probably because I don’t favor characters that have multiple strike, single trigger combos. Blasting with projectiles that hit seven times, etc. In all honesty, huge animation and action line background 5 minute, unrealistic areal attacks fall short for me.

I like having as much precision and control over my fighter as possible and I believe to be the root of what we like about fighting games.

You will probably like Hanzo in SS64 games, with bonebreaking grab chains, sometimes off reversals, and sometimes into combos

I like the x ray shots durring the combo. haha… Pretty cool character. I think the reason I like King so much is because he is so fluid between each move and his grappling usually starts out with a rush attack of some kind, like a thrust kick or some retarded haymaker (worst punch in the world in actuality, but cool looking in games)…

Most people don’t even bother with him, because his combos usually require very specific perry and simultanious button combinations linked. It’s just practice though and if you can get it, there are some combos that he has that are just devastating in all of the tekken games (70%+)… I don’t mind his wrestling getup, but I miss his street wear with checkered tie from part 2.

this will give you tourney vids with rasetsu Hanzo, and yes he also has those simultaneous button press combinations for his grabs, and mindgames of possible grab links vs possible grab breaks from opponent’s side

Shingo. He fights as hard as he can EVERY time, but still takes the time to soak up the knowledge during the fight. He’s got more heart that anybody else in the SNK universe.

Off topic: Hey Black Shroud, how’s the development on SS64-2 going? Any netplay possible in the future…? And since SS6 is on Atomiswave, shouldn’t it be possible to emulate these days? Since Hokuto works perfectly.

tizoc is a cool character because he is a man but also a bird

Tizoc is all the grappler Raiden/Big Bear wishes he was. I like him even more than Zangief!

Right now it works like this. Not perfect but playable.
Netplay may be possible on appropriate Mame++ version if both users can run the game well. I have yet to test netplay with more people.
Last time I checked, SS6 wasnt dumped yet, so technically its impossible to emulate at moment.

Baek Doo San is the best out there just because he’s Baek.

Bang from BB, all his shouting and yelling about love and justice never grows old. He’s such a vibrant character and I dont think anyone can top his dialogue.

runners up
Dudley - 3S
Serto - Mindarms
Iori - KOF
Blitztank - Akatsuki Blitzkampf

Well since Bang is mostly palette swap of Hanzo & , I highly suspect his justice mania was swapped from Galford as well. Well at least, being a swap of actual ninjas, he looks more ninja-like than Chipp in GG. Chipp could pass for a ninja in Naruto universe though, since there everyone can pass for a ninja.

Terry Bogard, because of the cheesy voice.

Sakura since I can relate to her in terms of interests.

Well, isn’t the point of Chipp that he’s not a “real” ninja? He’s like some american drug-dealer that was taken into the care of some old man and trained as a ninja. Thus him saying silly things like “Kamikaze!” or “Sukiyaki!”, like he pretends to speak japanese but only use words foreigners know completely out of context.
