Technically, Wong is a top Tekken player, Ohnuki and Tokido are top VF5 players, and a lot of other 2D players have a decent level of proficiency in 3D games. However, none have probably risen to the 3D championship level that Valle has, except maybe Ohnuki.
Jay “Viscant” Snyder
Ryan Hart.
Just because I can then say I have clocked a win on the best ever.
I vote Jay “The Bacon” “Viscant” Snyder as the best video game player ever.
He signed Storm cards for money. Step back.
Steve Harrison? Steve’s a very good player and always does really well in CvS2 and I hear he’s good in SNK and GG, buuuut I go even with him in 3S and beat him in ST. Anyone I go even with or beat in any game isn’t in the conversation for best fighting game player ever.
I don’t know Japan as well as I know America, so for best American player ever my votes go to Valle, Choi, and Wong.
Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, and Dylan.
DIEGOOOOOOO
And what the fuck? KoreanDJ a “proficient MB player?”
hahahahahahaha
Why don’t you just put me up for Melty?
My vote is for Alex.
No one to my knowledge was as dominant in as many games for as long as he was when he was active.
I think he got first or second in a all games at B4? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Additionally, I think players that have dominated on multiple continents should be highly regarded. In this respect I think the winner is Daigo, since he has won major tournaments in Japan, US, and UK.
valle
combofiend should have been on that list too
I think flashmetroid should be on it. He would kill majority of the players on the list if its a race of 5 games. His execution is tight. He has proven himself in ggxx as s class and all the other fighters he is at least B class.
Valle. No Doubt.
Nah son im gonna have to give that to Obiwan-fashobi
lolz
Best fighting game player ever is hard to say… because alot of the great players only played certain games.
Overall: nuki, daigo, justin, random people in arcades in japan (from what i have heard from people some of their casual players just BEAST the top tourny players)
1st. Mike Watson. Easy.
2nd. Justin Wang
3rd. John Choi
4th Cambofiend
999th. Alex Valle
Only one i know personally is Korean DJ.He’s a pretty cool guy overall really chill and everything, and even though he rocked the shit out of me In MBAC,MY REMY STILL BEATS HIS CHUN. /flexes
in the us, justin overall. valle, choi, ricky, eddie lee, watson arturo…all those guys are in the discussion too.
ever? nuki and daigo probably. imo
My vote goes to JWong as well. MvC2 was arguably the most competitive game ever, even if you count only the US competition, and he took it like cakes. Then he plays other games without that much practice and years later than top world players and manages to get top 2 (3rd Strike), top 3(CvS2), or top 5 (T5, ST) at Evo. When he plays on EC, its much more evil. I once read about he winning 12 tourneys at a single MWC, including Puzzle Fighter. He wins tourneys or MMs in games he doesn’t even play. IMO, nobody can compare.
My second would be Nuki. Daigo has a lot more hype, but Nuki has more results in more diff games and, like JWong, can be a monster even in games where he is not a specialist, like ST. If only he could pull such an miracle at MvC2…
3rd would be Valle. Valle is a monster. He was among the top world players in many many diff games, including such as MvC2 (you read it right), Tekken, and of course every SF to date. Plus, Valle scared Daigo away from Evo by preventing him from make money in his 2 best games.
4th would be Tokido IMO, also because of versatility and incredible adapting skills. Not so sure if he belongs in this God Tier, but last Evo sure elevated his stock.
2nd or top tier IMO would have Daigo, Choi, and then there’s too hard to point them out. Everybody listed is great, but those are my picks.
all around its easily justin. everyone else got their own game but still not “all around” enough.
“EVER” would be Daigo…give him any game and he will just learn it overnight
IMO placing well at tourneys in multiple games outweighs those who dominate undisputedly in only 1 game. With that said i don’t know how anyone could dispute daigo, wong, choi, n valle as the top4 overall players unless there are others who are just as proficient in multiple games as them that i’m not aware of.
You know Jay Snyder.
And I mean, don’t we ALL know Jay Snyder?
Why is he still not on that list?
True Viscant Fact: He is also one of the world’s top fleshlight players.
…seriously.
