Who is the GREATEST FIGHTING GAME PLAYER of ALL-TIME?

Balle is my favorite player to see play. He’s dominated in anything with the name Sftreet Fighter on it and a few games without. i give him my Vote. Besides gotta rep the homeland.

Daigo is great to and Choi is awesome to.

For an area of expertise, I’d have to go Jang Iksu in TTT. Going undefeated in TTT, at it’s prime and after, in Korea for years is hardcore. Plus the dude could only see out of one eye.

Overall I’d say Justin or Daigo. Too many wins in too many games, over too long a period of time.

On sheer fame right now, I’m sure Justin or Daigo would win. Lots of really good players out there though so I can’t really say any particular person is BEST EVER.

And I think I agree with flash being on there, atleast as far as US GG goes, he’s one of the top players. I mean hell, Marn’s up there, so why not him? >_<

Why are you nominating guys that aren’t on the top of the single game they’re best at? Or guys that aren’t top in all the games they play? Or guys that are only good in one game? What is the point of this thread?

dick sucking / band wagoning?

/shrug

i agree with sk. this thread makes no sense. best fighting game players of all time should be who was most dominant in the realm of competitive fighters, not who was most dominant in a single game.

with that said, in america, no one comes close to watson, valle, justin, and choi, and an honorable mention to ricky ortiz. in japan, it would be daigo and nuki. no one else comes close

hay you forgot me.

Actually I’ll go with Valle, Watson and Choi in US, and Daigo, Mago, and Kindevu in Japan.

Damn I thought I was pretty damn good at alot of games but damn I thought I would be top in at least my game…but I guess since random nobody who obviously knows nothing about GG said so then I guess im wrong

Anyway this thread is retarded and pretty much has become an OG dick riding contest

If this thread is about over all performance in games and not a single game then why the fuck is Watson being mentioned so much…actually 90% of those names are mention for a small amount of games most of them being different versions on one game

If this thread is truly about the best fighting game player then watson and 50 more of those guys dont belong there the only ones that do are

Nuki
Justin
Diago
Combofiend
Choi

Valle and Choi, no doubt.

I’ll vote for you.

Local vf tournies in japan pull in more entries than mvc2 does at evo

i too vote for flashmetroid. seeing as how eric v isnt on that list anywhere.

from my perspective here’s how it goes:

Alex Valle
John Choi
Daigo
Justin Wong

these are the fighters that have really changed the game

Valle is a beast at any game he touches
Choi can adapt to ANY stituation, which almost makes him better than Valle
Daigo is just a beast, and changed up the whole North American 3s game,
And last but not least is JWong who is a completely and totally dominating player. His work in MVC2 is just astonishing

These are my personal favorites. if if had to boil it down to one vote i think i’d throw mine for valle or choi, they have been in this for a LLOOONG time and their dominant playing won’t be going away any time soon

KoreanDJ sucks at Melty Blood.

Most known in Europe: Daigo and Valle (by far I think)

You forgot one of the greatest SF2 players of the western hemiphere (sunnyvale, CA) besides Tomo(maybe 2nd to him) is
the legend Thomas Osaki(WW, CE, HF) his Guile was perfect in those games nearly untouchable, and he said in a interview that the only way someone could beat his Guile is they would have to take his controls away from him. Also, he never made the same mistake twice. He went on to Super SF2 (Beta Gamma Tournament) and ST and retired, but he did make a comeback in EVO 2k2. I was very fourtunite to face against the legend on ST casualy at EVO, plus it was very cool to get to talk to him(got a lot of good tips) . He was a very ruthless player and hands down the best in my opinion besides Tomo.

For US, Valle and Justin Wong easily. All the other guys only dominated sf or 2d games, valle at one point was considered the best tekken tag player in america and even by the end of the game’s life he was probably top 10. Even JOP said back then Valle on SHGL controls was the best player hands down.

You might say who cares about tekken but honestly evo was started because of the huge sf and tekken communities uniting.

It would have been nice to see Valle vs Justin at Evo.

I vote for me.
