Who in the US is best at each game

If u go by Evo2k4, the best at VF is Shou, then Adam(?)

Hmmm. That’s the thing. On SRK, most are only going to care about longterm US tournament games.

At least that’s all I care about. They are the only ones with enough history to make any solid claims.

I would like to nominate myself in every tourney worthy fighting game(except marvels/KOF) from 96-2001…

If you have any objections…do research before I make you look bad

Yeah, when it comes to VF, Cappo, a good player in the carribean(!) once said that if you truly master ur char in the US, you’re probably the best in the us lol.

For me, the only ones that I can truly say that is cemented for truth is…

SF2 WW/CE/HYPER/slightly into Super(his last tournament in which he won) - Tomo #1, this is a no brainer and cannot be argued whatsoever.

SFA2 - Alex Valle is #1 for sure, I remember info. about A2 back in the day Valle was always #1

MvC2 - No shit it’s Justin Wong

SFIII3S - Pyrolee has proven that he is the best 3S player in the US on more than one occassion.

Those are the only ones that I can stand by.

the greatest Streets of Rage 2 vs mode player of all time was the wu tang clan

50 dollar bills was the greatest Street Fighter 2 player in the US, check your peachee folders bitches

and i still havent been beat at banging hot chicks in the US of all time, check yer newspaper before i make you look like a fag

-anchorman

p.s. spider dan is the greatest svc2 chaos player
amingo mike is the worst cvs2 player
and i won all world heroes perfect tournies until like 96 (i’m the greatest)

In KOF it would have to be The Answer of K-Force certainly…

NGBC-For now SieClayton reigns supreme. (Winning all tournies he’s in including majors)

Others have yet to be determined…

"Mortal Kombat 2
DreamTR ruled XBand for years

Killler Instinct
(tie)
SicDic/Mr.Wizard/Sabre all ate fools on their XBand Super Nintendos"

Crazy that you remember that! I think I still have my Xband collecting dust somewhere.

Dogface:

Eddie Lee was #1 in MvC1. Dominated the entire scene. I’m sure even Sabin will agree that Eddie was #1 in MvC1. Every MvC1 tourney at ECC was won by
Eddie Lee.

Ricky Ortiz is #1 for CvS2. 2nd place at evo 2k6. 2nd place at evo 2k4. Combofiend is probably #2 since he got 3rd place at 2k6, and 4th place at 2k5.

SF2/CE/HF - tomo
ST- the usual suspects, cole, watson, choi, valle
MVC2 - jwong
CVS2 - ricky
3s - pyro, ricky, jwong
tekken 5- insanelee (fuck steve)
A3 - choi
A2 - valle
CVS1 - choi, ricky

I’ve heard mention of Zidanel33t multiple times since I’ve joined the GG community, but I have yet to see any videos of him…

Anyone have any links they’d like to share?

I thought Tekken 5 would be Crow. Since back-to-back Evo wins and all. And to think…they said he wasn’t good enough for USA team in 2k5.

im pretty sure videotaping rape is illegal

i nominate dogface for xvsf

for smash bros melee ken is the best

for smash 64 isai is the best

and there is no argument from any of the top players about that.

Wow, somebody is certainly in the mood for drama today.

It wouldn’t hurt to have two or three names listed per game. Choi deserves to get mentioned in A2 and Valle was champ at A3 too. Plus MvC1 is the game Viscant used to get famous.

yes it is crow.

but i hate steve.

Now come on, I am not strating drama.

At this point we should all know collectively who is the one best player at each game. I mean, who doesn’t put Valle to Alpha 2? Who wouldn’t say Justin on MvC2?

Of course, you do get some *really *gray areas like Cvs2 and ST, but othere than a few games, I think the results can be narrowed down to singular players.

MvC1…I wasn’t even the best on WC by the time that was over. Erik Perez was best on WC by far. To my knowledge, Erik never played Eddie when they were both still playing seriously. IMO, Eddie probably takes it anyways, but Erik should get mentioned.
I shouldn’t be mentioned. I went on a 7-9 month winning streak on that but I wasn’t playing Spider-Dan or EC then.

Whoever keeps mentioning Zidane for guilty gear is smoking good dust. He’s gotten much better but HE’S NEVER WON A TOURNAMENT. The only player who’s worth mentioning as best in the Nation is Cue from Nebraska. His track record since Slash came out speaks for itself.
