I have no problems at all with EH, i click on the articles i want to read, comment ont he things i want to comment, that’s it.
Aside from serious coverage of tournaments and such the obviously have other articles to attract viewers, those articles are the fore simple curiosity and though not full of information, i find them entertaining from time to time. Rather have more fg related sites than one to go away…
My thing is, adblocking is fine, but if you really support a site (or want to keep it running), then at least add an exception for it. Even hits/views still do count towards advertising revenue.

I don’t get this EventHubs hate, seriously.
I usually come here because of the Forums but, as far as news, EH is always ahead of SRK, especially on tournament coverage. So I check them daily.
There are a lot of bs posts on EH, of course, stuff that I don’t have a slightly interest and whatnot, but you can filter the games you want to read about, so I can filter out all the games I don’t play and/or don’t care and then you can always skip posts about FGC drama, like the aforementioned Sherry post.
And whatever you do, never, EVER waste your time reading comments there. 90% is a total waste of time. But that also applies for almost any website/forum.
Now, with that adblock bs, I’ll have to get my FG news elsewhere. I’m not paying 20 bucks nor I’ll disable my adblock there.
I’ve heard of event hubs. Never even visited it. From all these butthurt threads people are making about it, I can say for certain it sounds like a site as shitty as Gamefaqs.

Only reason I go to event hubs is to watch the fighting game streams. Some of the articles are interesting, but mainly I’m just watching Injustice, SF4 and Melee streams.
It’s struggling to find content when some random ass “pro” player “thinks” his character in USF4 needs buffed or disagrees with whatever planed nerfs there “might” be passes as an article.

EventHubs was cool when it started out, and even their weakpoints were forgivable, as they were new. Now, they’re aged, and doing WORSE? GTFO, EH can EAD.

My content seems to be doing fine despite them ignoring it. I don’t think they had any impact outside the sphere of Capcom stream monsters, which I couldn’t care less about anyway.

I’ve been playing fighting games since SFII was released on arcades, back in 1991 (I was 12).
I was away from videogames from 1999 until 2008/2009 and SFIV was one of the reasons that I went back to videogames.
It’s true, I probably started reading EH before I knew SRK even existed (back in my days SRK didn’t existed anyway), but I don’t see why that matters. SRK is a better and more organized forum, so I come here basically to read and discuss about my character and EH is way better as a news source, that’s it.
I don’t get this idea that you should only use A or B, that you cannot use more than one FG site for news or discussions… but then again, I don’t get at least half of the people here, they’re as dumb as the people who comment on EH anyway.
I like eventhubs. It’s good at what it does: delivering fighting related news, videos, discussions and what not.
I don’t get why some people are bothered by some videos or featured games. No one forces you to read a certain news, or watch a particular video. For the latter, you can simply filter out permanently games you dont wish to see. I mean, I don’t go into a movie I don’t want to see and then complain about me seeing it. Da fuq.
That’s the key sentence. Because the majority of the post-09’ people have a different mentality compared to how the scene used to be. EH caters to this exact mentality, which is why the older players don’t like going there, or even if they do, they at least don’t see it as something more than “the tabloid if the FGC”.
