I love the flair that they give each stage. Its always cool having a whole bunch of people standing around watching you beat the crap out of someone… not that I’ve ever done that. Ever.

I’ve been wondering lately who the girls pictured in the cathedral could be.
Leftmost vitral is obvisouly Venus, the central one could either be Double or that Claire chick (if they aren’t the same character). As for the one on the right, I don’t have a clue.

A Double poster, confirming her as playable ? She could very well be a Mokujin-ish character, so not a new character per se. Or maybe a kind of Shang Tsung ?
A better pic from the central girl in the cathedral. Now it’s clear that she wears the exact same crown as Double.
The bottom part of the statue from the last pic, with Venus and a that mysterious third girl’s face.
A skullgirl, most probably Bloody Marie, the current one (hence the presence of her servant Valentine). An interesting detail is that her face is half a skull, like that central-girl-that-could-be-Double. Could this mean that this is a common mutilation for all skullgirls ? So Double would be a former skullgirl ?
As far as I know the only confirmed former skullgirl is Parasoul’s mother, and her crown bears similarities to Double’s. Could Double be Parasoul’s mother ?
Also for those who didn’t notice, mr arm-tank is confirmed as one of Parasoul’s minions.
Leduc and “purple-hair woman” both appears in Peacock’s story along with some scientist (dr Avian?), confirming them as ASG Lab members.
Various Squigly pics and sketches are visible in the trailer, but afaik all of them are old art from Alex. Dunno what to think of that.
Umbrella appears in Parasoul’s story and her character design seems very similar to what we already know. Of course, this doesn’t confirm her as playable.

Is that a boss character in the Story Mode trailer at 1:16 “The Devilish Double”? It’s shown after all of the character posters. It looks just like all the other posters!! I think it might be a boss and or regular character!
She and skullgirl Bloody Marie are two most popular candidates for 8th char slot by community’s opinion. We don’t know much about either of them though.
I would be pretty bummed if Double turned out more Mokujin-ish rather than Seth-ish
Who is the black girl standing near Parasoul and the Egrets in the trailer? She seems kinda cool, even if she looks like The Butch of the crew.
IDK TBH. But I noticed club and spade persons in Bella’s troop. And guy with Arcana Heart ahoge is supposed to be a heart I guess. We need a Joker then, right?
Since it’s 2D it would be more like the one from Darkstalkers and Mike said that will not happen.
dont know but she is an obvious play off of rosie the riveter (world war 2 symbol for women stepping up and working factory jobs that all the men had left when they got drafted)
dont know about the need of a joker, the other 4 are suits while the joker is a card. if it were a jack queen and king, maybe a joker…
Joker don’t belong to either of them. Hence he can be an independent character. Also it’s logical to have a Joker in the circus =]

Noticed the characters that appear in Double’s level 3 ? There’s Squiggly, Umbrella, Mrs Victoria, and a misterious character using guns hidden behind an cloth of some sort. Reminded me of Black Dahlia, but it’s hard to tell since all we have on that character is a tiny silhouette on a stage and a single old sketch.
Something from the story mode trailer that struck me were these two ditties featuring Valentine

Looks like these could be the other members of the Last Hope? If pictured is their “end at the hands of the skullgirl,” then it looks like Valentine was specifically spared. Is it possible she’s acting villainously under duress? Granted, lab zero is pretty villainous in and of itself, but even in their pursuits they haven’t deviated from their goal of subduing the skullgirl.

Actually it’s possible that Valentine was under SG before attack. Maybe she lured them in a trap. But according to your first screenshot and the fact she had Last Hope photo on her desk we can assume she actually missing them. So it’s possible that she is trying to undermine SG somehow by playing role of her servant like some double agent lol.
