Online denjin ryus .___.
Tweleve. Any other character can have some form of good match with.
Ryu’s St.RH… I play Dudley, nuff said.
Online.
I don’t hate, but I dislike myself constantly because I either think too much or coast too much. Never a happy medium.
Elena, Because inevitably I end up screaming “GOD DAMNIT FUCK SHIT BITCH STOP COUNTERING MY EVERYTHING!”
Really it just makes me want to fight her more till that one day when she’s no longer an issue for me regardless of who I play.
I hate yang
Rising parry that shit son!
looove fighting uriens. they think SA3 is auto win. usually beat uriens 7-3.
i hate no chars love them all. but annoying would be 3s online players who just whine cry
and make excuses for losing. its annoying please stfu
It is an auto-win online unfortunately.
Characters-Ken. soulless character no heart just above average in every way. every other character in 3s has some sort of gimmick that makes up their style, necro has cool stun juggles, Q has his taunting, yun has his invincible god mode, chun li is broken etc. all ken has is basic shit an op light srk and super cancelling, well that and 50% of the players on online edition.
- akuma: mash dat tatsu guys. honestly don’t mind him too much but no one seems to play him well. it’s eaither jump back fireball and tatsu spamming, or on rails demon flips all day.
-chun ignoring all the the speed and priority of all her ridiculous shit I must say I hate chuns crouching hurtbox. it feels like half the shit I do is whiffing her sometimes when it really shouldn’t be.
- yun imo the best character in the game top tier with chun but i’d call him S+ compared to chuns S, simply because all chuns are pretty much the same while you can be pretty creative and go nuts with yun in god mode. almost no one does however and he’s the mose scrubby character in the game at mid level play. completely on rails genei jin combo- build meter genei jin. all day every day, every matchup.
don’t actually mind denjin ryu, either they are balls and it’s easy to parry or they have setups other then tatsu/backthow into dejinn and are respectable. don’t like how dejinn butchers ryu though, who’s best asset is his ex moves.
can’t think of any other characters worth complaining about. is it just me or all 90% of the remys on ps3 OE extremely laggy. they are like a freaking cult… maybe he’s really popular in mexico or something since he looks like a kof character…
mechanics-ticks throws are pretty silly, although I certainly use them they are pretty free and easy damage/mix up. fireball ( non ex) are insanely underpowered as well. uppercuts got nerfed in 3s too but still had plenty of good uses. fireballs just give away free meter or jumpins most of the time. you’d think because we have parries they would get buffed or something to make them viable.
and above all else online edition. nothing worse then advertising an arcade perfect port that is just a modded console version. I swear some insanely wacky shit goes on if you play long enough. now that my rank has reset to 0 and leveled up backwards to one again multiple times the game has become unplayable. constant freezing , random disconnects buttons randomizing. it’s a nightmare.
I main Urien which is possibly the greatest fighting game character ever. My brother plays with half the cast so I’m more or less used to a lot of match-ups.
Elena was the worst for some time. Her corner pressure and her fast mixup game were just ughh. You can sphere/tackle her easily though, unlike Alex though I don’t find him as intimidating. Dudley was also hard for a while but I fare quite well vs him lately. He can still be a pain of course and his corner game is brutal if played correctly.
Gouki is a bad match-up for Urien but maan I love playing against this guy. If you manage to guess his game, like when he jumps with tatsus or whatever and sphere him you can multiple tackle him and watch huge chunks of health going red. Very satisfying. You need to keep a distance and not get cornered though (again).
But really the worst is Ken. Well ok I actually love playing vs him, it’s hard, frustrating, mindgames all over the place and sibling-y SF3 at its best, but I can’t help but ferfqwefwerfwe sometimes.
I’d actually agree with that. It was very unique to have a charge character with juggles in a 2D fighter… That and it’s rare that you have a fast charge character. Like, I can’t really think of another charge character with as much mobility as Urien in any SF or KoF game. I think Urien, Makoto, and Ibuki are the BEST gifts
from 3rd Strike.
Yes, all that plus the aegis and I can’t help but consider Urien something akin to high art. It’s not easy to learn his stuff but by the time you’ve figured out charge partitioning you feel…liberated in a way. He doesn’t have conventional combos so he might seem stiff at first but damn that mobility and aegis setups are so fucking fun and rewarding.
I also agree that Makoto and Ibuki are revolutionary characters. I often find myself “air-inputting” the classic karakusa->fierce chop ->chesto while I’m just…walking on the street and I don’t EVEN really play with her. Actually I suck with Makoto but I love watching her matches and trying stuff out pretending I’m Mimora.
Lol, I do that to. I’ll be sitting at my desk doing something completely unrelated. I usually do the dash-in karakusa thing.
1 thing I really like: most of the characters have all the traditional inputs for SF (half-circle, dp, qcf) aside from the charge characters. Alex has every input in the SF series. I think Seth has all the inputs in SF4 but he’s a… kind of… fun character… In a game that’s… Not… Very… Fun…
Remy is pretty mobile for a charge character, and Oro can outrun Geneijin.
Doing air inputs is great! Been doing it for a while with the various Kara demons.
I won a match using Tweleve last night so I was thinking of taking this back… then I realized that I was using X.C.O.P.Y. and for a short moment, I wasn’t Tweleve.
Manny.
and why?
Denjin x 1000
Because he is the best Necro. Actually, he is really good. I just hate losing to Necro. His ego is enormous though. Nice guy.
Yeah. Let’s drink more. I’m good. ps. i’m drunk.
