You don’t have to speak English to work a job, either. When I worked in the southwest, the single most solid employee where I worked didn’t speak a word of English. In fact, he was so solid that the bosses were willing to suspend other workers with better English skills when they were giving him a hard time.
Just about anything that necessitates a competent level of communication in order to maintain a typical lifestyle in this country (e.g. having a bank account) is bilingual, and that is because–all other things being equal–a room with 10 people in it is going to have one native Spanish speaker. Sure, that person’s life will be a lot easier with some basic English skills, but it’s ludicrous to be offended by the fact that somebody speaks a language other than yours. It’s like getting upset when someone follows a different religion. It’s stupid.

you have to have a way to communicate with people and, most everyone speaks english, most people dont know how lucky they are to come to a country that will give you a under the table job. Try going to other country that does not speak english, and see how you get treated

Went to predominantly White private schools, moved from the hood to the suburbs and dated White (and a few Asian) men, listen to “White music” (Rock, Indie, Alternative, Classcial, Metal, Heavy Metal, Hardcore, Post-Hardcore, Etc.) rarely listen to Hip-Hop and R&B (mainly cause it’s fuckin garbage now) … I don’t know much about my cultures. I have to Google shit when I talk to a lot of my Black counterparts to know what the fuck they’re saying. Sad, but true. Thanks for sheltering, mom.

its all about rich people vs poor people
