As someone who was born and raised in South Africa, what I can tell you is that this video is a joke.
I’ll elaborate.
The ‘Afrikaner’ Caucasians featured in this video are racists. They would like you to believe otherwise, but they are. Their argument of opting to separate themselves from other South Africans (more specifically, non-Caucasian, non-Afrikaans speaking South Africans) to ‘preserve their unique subculture’ is a load of bull. They are merely clinging to a past that was founded on racial segregation, inhumane practices and various other atrocities. The past I’m referring to is Apartheid.
On the flip side, there are many ‘Afrikaner’ South Africans who have embraced change and democracy in South Africa, and believe in racial equality and co-existence. The people in these self-contained ‘Afrikaner’ communities do not.
I know a lot of south africans both black and white. Both felt that they were safer under apartheid and there was less crime. Also both black and white felt that electing a terrorist to the presidency was stupid.

I’m not going to pretend like there’s not a lot of dumb shit that happens here, but the same could be said of other countries. South Africa is hardly the hellhole people make it out to be. If it was, there wouldn’t be much reason for me (or anyone else, for that matter) to still be here.
