Is there any way to combo from her overhead? I don’t always like to burn meter to get comboable overhead.

The frames on her overhead is dumb. . .-6 on hit…and u get nothing really for count hit.
Sounds like Vega’s overhead in SF IV Vanilla. Just use to remind them you can actually hit them high every once in a blue moon but otherwise you’ll have to open them up with other means.

Its getting to about that time where everyone is going o rush down senselessly. What does poison have to stop it.
She absolutely has no answer to pressure. Its almost frustrating. I get no use out of lmt because everyone jumps every 5 seconds online. Other times if they see it it means shoryuken me tenderly (or just. Jump hp if you don’t have one)

Its bad against capcom pressure I try to use hugo to back her up a bit but tekken characters pressure just seems to be a lot for the duo. Especially considering she doesn’t have the best ways in either. (An overhead that’s negative on hit? Its not like vipers at all. Hers was good. Poisons never feels worth using.)
I kinda prefer her bad backdash over backflip most of the time. Any ideas?

I do agree though I feel like her backflip is worthless A means to get distance, not claws by any standards. Most of the time I just jab my way out as an interupt. I wish LMT always hit overhead maybe that could help. but so far it’s been C.Jab and C. Forward. that grant me the space to create distance. I just jab–>jab–> c. forward–x A.edge (Fierce)

it does it for me, but usually at the cost of a meter because i haven’t had a person simply stand in front of me and mash buttons, that i can get out of, i mean literaly block strings, tekken characters that combo into overhead etc.
Yes when KBG doesn’t get interrupted its wonderful. i just figured she had something else. I’ll try c.l c.m more often.
I have a few issues with lmt. i feel that having not fireball invincibility on startup is fine, but not when im half way to the enemy already.
it being an over head would be a little much, i’d personally love all combo-abilty it has (comboing into it, which isn’t much) and safety on block of the light being removed in order to have it go overhead instead.
I’ll get used to it with time though.
Hopefully one of her moves has some great ability we dont expect (like juri’s ability to jump cancel C.HP)

I’d prefer you focus on the C.Jab link into C. Forward. more than the C.Forward itself.
If you manage to catch someone when you have thrown crouching jab, that link into c. Forwardxx Roundhouse KBG is gonna do some mental hurting that they won’t forget. and is pretty neat if you have a power Poison ( though I have no idea how those guys do it, I NEED meter. Meter is my money)

I use her s.MP to beat jumpers. It’s a decent anti-air and they’ll stop jumping if you hit them with it enough times. A.Edge(fierce) can work too. As for pressure, Some times I’ll throw out her overhead as it hops over lows and we all know how much online players love their crouching jabs.
My biggest beef with LMT is that it doesn’t hit jumpers. It pisses me knowing that her heel hit a jumper and nothing happens. It would be a better move if it did.

her overhead is just to nip at them while they turtle…thats about it…i literally can not find another use for the move other then trolling and that is rather funny when i think about it. but still getting through fireballs with it is a joke in itself but actually using the move as a pressure tool is a joke too if you know on hit you can get DP’ed or full on combo if they are on the money. it kinda makes me face palm considering how much the CPU does this move on Very hard…then i realized you know what…this move is crap, and even the CPU stopped using it against me after being punished repeatedly -_-’
anyways i finished one thing and thats the widely known frame data thread, its there if you dont wana look in the guide or need a quick reference, also i’ll be working on my other two threads tomorrow, if someone wants to help me out in breifing mode i’d appreciate it
I don’t touch nothin while peeps rush down. There’s almost zero need to clutch down on OS throw and jab. This game has so many frame trap setups, you’re just asking for a 400-500dmg combo by hitting jab. You almost always see the throws now, and I’d rather eat a throw than a giant combo. Focusing 100% on blocking and overheads is the best way to get out of pressure. They’ll poke themselves out of range, giving you a chance to KBG their poke (if you know your opponent), jump back HP, dash back, or get up and throw a serious poke.
Maybe I’m just used to playing Cody and Sakura. There’s no gtfo move there, just let the opponent tucker themselves out so I can go back to my game.

I’m not finding too much synergy with Asuka in terms of team combos, but the team’s general composition is pure fun. Having Poison’s zoning goodness on point coupled with passable mixups that lead to Asuka tagging in to Jump Kicks has been going fine so far.
You gotta make the synergy or at least that is what I am going to do with this team. Then again I am at the stage where I am still messing up Fireball movements for some god forsaken reason (I can do them in UMvC3 but apparently not in SFxT).
I feel like poison is kind of a bad character, For all the reasons listed and more.
- A zoning character with rekkas?
- A overhead thats Minus on HIT?
- Kind of crappy normals
- No damage?
- No good answer for smart pressure. ( I do say smart pressure for obvious reasons.)
Even her zoning is mediocre at best, Fireballs and DP. The MK Dp is so good for jump ins and stuff but like Anti airing all day? ZZZzz… Low and behold you fight someone who doesn’t jump and knows how to properly get around fireballs. Tekken characters rape poison for free, your better off playing Tekken vs Tekken.

I do have a lot of tech Ill be trying to record very soon, and get posted. One good thing though. Any normal cancelled into lk LMT can be a potential true and infinite block string/counter setup. Because if timed right Cr.Jabs St.Jabs and other fast normals they never leave blockstun. Only TRUE answer to it as far as Ive discovered is the " Alpha Counter ". But let them not have any meter.
