I think poison can capitalize on her mind games more than cody can. She has way to get in quickly with her own dash and can use her fake hooligan thingy to get in quickly on a knock down.
but Cody actually does damage and controls space better then her, thats the difference. Cody also had more ways to get that knockdown then Poison does in general but i’d rather not turn this into a Poison vs Cody discussion as EX Bingo is the first thing that comes to mind…

Well if we do get character reveals this Tuesday which is most likly, than yeah, this fight has to happen
And this isn’t a bad thing. I would much rather have to adapt a somewhat challenging character that I like (and gain better fundamentals) than a stupidly easy character to win with that leaves me with bad habits. You should have seen my gimmicky Phoenix in vanilla MvC3. It wasn’t pretty.
Here’s some more food for thought: Who won EVO 2010 for SF4? With what character? Was this character considered to be top tier at the time? Just saying. 
Also, keep this in mind: every character’s play styles are being adjusted somewhat from their previous games. I doubt that Cody will be a direct translation from SF4, so who knows how these match ups will pan out at this point…

I know, characters tend to change here and their between games, as this is a crossover then a main series game, things like move properties and ect. are going to be different. Cody in SFxTK isnt going to be able to FADC and that worked well for him in the SFIV series, however I do expect cool new things for the character if said character is in…Like being able to combo off Bad Sand…that would be dirty~

yeah that would be cool~ EX Bingo in SFIV put you into a spiral state so it mite wallbounce in this game, so i can see that happening. Crack Kick would be godly as well, Roundhouse Ruffin Kick will be a good Tag Cancel move as well. I wish his focus attack comes back in some form, like Abel’s.

I wonder if we can use her rekka like rose’s spiral. Also i think she might be able to end a combo in WOL after an ex WOL for a quicker follow up.
Poison will not be the troll character in this game. Not with Kuma in and his fart special.
GLAAD also didn’t let capcom turn her into a troll character I’m sure since remember capcom was working with them on her or something
Anyway I hadn’t put much thought into cody being changed but whatever they do i’ll roll with, I play characters I like till death. As long as he keeps his sick pressure, frame traps, and has his traditional awesome moveset I’m good. I think criminal upper will still be a combo ender move but also used for a decent tag cancel. I can see them giving his ex med ruff kick a wall bounce to make it no longer useless and I think his bingo will be used to extend combos instead.
I’m on psn and would love to play with you guys day 1 btw if your still gonna do that. Hopefully Cody won’t be dlc so I can adjust quickly to his changes and properly run team conjucal visit.
Forward Ruffin Kick had its uses(i used it more then Roundhouse) but what i mean by my comment was shes a character would easily root for in a tournament setting like most people would root for Dan(underdog and everything) not a troll character or w/e.
but ya Day 1 stuff for sure, we’ll all be fresh out the lab trying to test stuff so it’ll be a fun experience.
The ex version of med ruff kick? That thing was trash and I don’t know why they bothered when you have low ex ruffian which goes further. I still hope they give his ex med version something like crumple to make me choose it over the much better ex low with more range or ex fierce which was pretty much a sure thing anti air when you needed one.
Had no use for it imo but yeah I can’t wait to play you guys it’ll be fun, hope ya have mics.
I’m so glad we have a new game and we can all take a long break from the stale SSFIV.
I wish we had someone to record the training mode sessions so we can show the rest of the poison players new stuff.
