Also how is his super motion bugged? T hawks was tested to have no problem, maybe it is just overlapping inputs?
Well, yes in hindsight 1 active grab frame is bad, but if you give it a whiff like gief, why not boost the active frames too?

Since sirlin can’t take criticism, has an inflated ego over his evo performance (honestly, no offense man but people did not know the matchup. not to hate on your fei, you did well) and just resorts to ignoring you or insulting you (see sirlin.net) when you disagree with him, let’s just drop the complaints. This coming from the person who is probably THE MOST butthurt out of all fei players (I was so hyped for remix fei :lol:)

What are your favorite mindgames/pokestrings after a knockdown? Mine are all based around meaty standing fierce.
if meaty s.hp connects, I either sweep if I didn’t feel that my meaty was perfectly timed, or walk up s.hp xx rekkas if I’m feeling confident in the meaty.
if blocked, I like to do [list]

[]c.mk (most used - it combos and puts you in a good range on block)

[]mk overhead (on rare occasions)

Matchup specific stuff:
- neutral jump mk against vega wall dives
- c.hp and s.lk anti-air are really buff against gief
- frequently s.hp against honda as you may have seen sirlin doing, though it may lose to s.hk from honda so don’t be too predictable
on the fat characters like gief and another fei (forget who else) you can do
crossup j.mk, s.mp, s.hp xx rekkas
and it all combos.

I haven’t played Fei in a long while because I get frustrated about his chicken wing kick, but on the bright side his new rekkas are very nice. His meaty fierce is the best meaty in the game IMO. Feel free to add to my lists, make corrections, add your own tips, whatever. Let’s get this thread to a positive level - HDR Fei is here to stay whether we like it or not. Bitching just gets us nowhere at this point. Sirlin knows how some of us feel and frankly does not give a shit, so let’s stop wasting our energy. Either quit playing the character or work on learning the tools he still has.

It was obvious to me that fei was more tournament viable in the first week of playing, the evo stuff was bonus.
Somehow the issue of “tournament viability” became third party, meaning “is there someone else that can win with this character”. Under that criteria I guess every character in every game will eventually be viable if people keep playing… I just don’t think that criteria is very useful.
Where are the examples past 2003? Jumpsuit stops playing so fei stops placing?
Now you could say “well sirlin is just one person too”, but jumpsuit is a fei player, sirlin seems like a “play whoever i can win with” player in ST at least, it’s notable that he even played fei that many times in a tournament in a game that supposedly didn’t shift much from ST. (note: I think wilson also played fei at a MWC, on an arcade cab, aka the true format of ST).
I’ve seen [media=youtube]VLJq6eGIenw[/media] and some SFHD fei online, and sirlin play in tournament, and I also think it’s obvious that SFHD Fei is more viable for all but a couple ST players. The character is probably less viable for ST Fei experts, if only because there will be more Fei’s to practice against.

Yeah this is true, nobody in sf2 does the first-two-letters of the name thing to identify characters. I couldn’t find the thread at first glance either.
