Whining about Fei Long and Fei Long Players thread with some Hawk mixed in

Read my FAQ!

Ok ok…I’ll just answer the question. The answer is…no.

Fei’s only interruptible attacks are any jab, close short, close strong, and close fierce.

I see, so how would u cancel a super from a close strong or fierce then?

Very quickly!!!

Your best bet would either be to link into close strong or close fierce after having done part of the super motion (i.e. cr.:lp:, :qcf:, neutral+:hp: XX Rekka Shin Ken) or…negative edge into it. You’ll probably get better results Negative Edging that fierce button press with either of the above methods.

However, as most people will probably tell you, you’ll be better off using weak attacks to hit-confirm into it.

DOH!!!

I just looked at my own FAQ and…umm…I forgot a key interruptible attack…

CROUCHING SHORT!!!

It’s the only reason why you can do four close jabs and then decide on whether or not to combo into the Rekka Shin Ken SC.

So…to reiterate…Fei Long’s interruptible attacks are…

Any jab, close/crouch short, close strong, and close fierce.

Rekka Ken, Rising Flame Kick, and Rekka Shin Ken SC combo off of all of the above interrupted attacks. Chicken Wing combos off of none of them.

You can cancel cr.mp or even far mp into super, just did it in practice(regular speed of course). Not easy but doable.

Edit: just canceled cr.mk into super, so add that to the list aswell. I did cl.mp into cr.mk cancel into super(7hits).

^Really? Damn…

So how do u do it, do u imput the QCF motion then c.MP followed by another QCF motion to super?

I can cancel cr.mk or cr.mp only like one outa 15 tries. for the “cl.mp into cr.mk cancel into super” I first do the cl:mp: then immediately do one :qcf:. Then at the exact time im about to start the second QCF, I do cr:mk: and piano to any punch. Make sure u hit the punch when u hit foward on the second QCF.

meh, j.hk, cr.mk xx super is far easier to do.

damn that is super easy to do.

Yeah, after the j.HK just imput the QCF and then after the c.MK imput it again to super. Oh hey what is the best way to counter blanak’s slide or his j.lk?

st.HP rapes pretty much every ground move Blanka has including slide. You never have to worry about Blanka ball into bite.

I spam the shit out of st.HP in a Blanka match.

Edit: Whoops! Anyway, I believe you can have them land on cr.HP as they are coming down on you.

The next time your on, I’d like to create a private room where we concentrate on character moves that give Fei problems. It’s not matches, but a training room. For example I pick Blanka, and we experiment different senarios on how to improve that matchup.

you should be able to land a reversal-timed rekka on blankas slide.

That would be great man, I’m getting back from holiday tommorow so I need to get my HD fix lol. I played agaisnt Tall’s blanka and I wasn’t sure how to freaking counter his slide or jumping MK. I know CW’s hop over a crouching Blanka completly making them useless, so this is a match up I need help…well this and Chun lol.

aqua - why do blanka players use j.mk over broken priority (joke) invincible tip j.lk? against fei that is? just wondering.

I’m smoking crack. :wtf:

Both j.LK and j.MK have the same animation. I got them both confused. That’s proof I don’t play Blanka.

I take back what I said. j.LK is what Blanka players love to spam.

lol yeah I wasn’t sure either but I figured it was lk because it comes out so quick and stays out for a fucking long time lol.

This is going to sound dumb, but, uh, do you have to block Fei’s low fierce low? I could have sworn you had to, but I’ve seen several players block this high when I go for meaty cr. fierce, cr. fierce. Maybe something to do with lag?

As for Blanka, it’s either j. short or j. roundhouse. J. short seems like nothing but offensive hit box on blanka’s lower body. I can’t remember j. roundhouse’s hitboxes exactly, but I do remember there being a big red box from his feet to his shins without a blue one being present.

Unless your Balrog or Bison, you have to block low.

Wait, what? Seriously? Boxer and Dictator can randomly block it high? Or is there something funky with the hit boxes?
