Where would dante rank in the darkstalkers

Dante will win coz his the main man of capcom simple as that…

True. Dante can do everything by DMC2 that he did in DMC3 much like Ryu can perform a Shinkuu Hurricane kick that he gained in the SF Zero series in SF2 even if we don’t see him perform one in SF2. Characters gain moves with each progressive game even if they are prequels, they don’t really loose to many moves or have newer moves to replace the older ones because if not that would be hella lame. However, aside from the Gameplay aspect right in the beggining intro of DMC3 there is Dante loosing to his brother. Sure, he defeats him in the end but you have the character loosing a fight. Then in DMC1 he struggled with Phantom and Neo Angelo as has been pointed out. In DMC2, he doesn’t struggle with anybody, doesn’t loose to anybody, pretty much breezes through all of his opponents. This is why you can still use DMC2 as a reference for how powerful he is. Seriously you can use any of the three games to discuss Dante’s strength but most of the time in scenarios like this you use the latest/most recent versions of the characters, once again it goes without say he can do anything in DMC3 that he does in DMC2. When people discuss how powerful characters are or make storyline tier lists, most of the time they deal with the latest version of the characters, not with prequels and such.

DESERVE A BUMP FOR THIS THREAD after reading bulleta’s darkhunter org

i believe even dante could be toptier in ds3 , or even BANNED.

ok you see where will you put dante at …if

class C (darkstalkers/beast/fiends/demons from Makai/majingen) >> ELITE human soldiers/marine bla bla special force

Though I think it’s “wrong” to compare power levels of characters, since none of us are professionals at Capcom, HOWEVER, I can definetely say that Dante would NOT be weaker than MegaManX. Though Megaman X may have unlimited potential, he’s still a robot, Dante can kill a robot I’m sure.

Though we all really know that the strongest Capcom character ever is Player 1 from Forgotten Realms. Admit it.

Maybe, but some people here have talked to them, or have connections to them, like Udoneko.

In what way?

Bullets would no doubt do nothing to X, and X’s armor could be stronger then Dante’s sword.

So what does Dante do at that point? Mabye Dante in demon form could tear him apart, but aside from that I dont see much else he could do to him.

And like I said, X can’t do anything to Dante. What would he do, shoot him? Dante can survive a thunderbolt attack. Shoot a Homing Missile at him? Dante will ride out that missile out like he did to Lady in DMC3. None of his other adapted powers from other robots are anything Dante can’t handle or has encountered. Dante goes into Demon Mode and rips the guy into spare parts. And now you know what happened to X prior to the Zero series, LOL!

I think that is enough.

Thus, Dante could theoretically defeat X. X is powerful…but I don’t think he could handle Dante.

New challenger

Samanosuke, from Onimusha 3.

In the Intro when he absorbs all the soul’s and becomes oni { with the long white hair and cool looking skin }

Is he powerful enough to be up there with the most powerful capcom characters ?

Actually by the end of Onimusha 3 he becomes pretty god like, twice as powerful as he is/was in that intro.

Jubei Yagyu (Onimusah 2) was also pretty powerful, probaly more so then Samanosuke prior to the end of Onimusha 3.

Onimusha’s not a new challenger. That was discussed already on page 1 and 2. I said it was possible Samanosuke and Jubei could defeat Dante. I’m sure “noble Japanese demon slayer hero who might of resembled one of my ancestors” stands a strong chance against Dante in Capcom develepor’s minds.

Capcom

Oh crap , I was hoping no one would notice the new challenger thing… lol

Do fighters from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure count ? It was made or licensed by capcom right?

Maybe not… though since capcom had rights to other games like Marvel, Zelda, Alien vs predator, and spawn.

though I would like to hear your opinion on how powerful the jojo cast is. :pleased:

Yeah, Capcom just had the license for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. It’s a Jump Manga by Hirohiko Araki.

I don’t think Dante can mess with “The World” if Dio really goes all out. He can stop time, chop Dante’s head off, drain all his blood and seperate his head from his body. He might not get around to doing this at first and might just toy with Dante but he would freeze time enough times until he figured out how nigh invulnerable Dante was. (first throw knives at him, that doesn’t work, hit him with a tractor, that doesn’t work, etc.) Seeing as Dante doesn’t have his own Stand, he couldn’t really defend against this or view Dio’s Stand or The World. Now if Dante was born in JoJo’s world, the chance of him having a Stand might increase given how powerful he is, but as the characters are now I don’t think Dante would win against Dio.

And as far as Kujo Jotaro, LOL! I honestly think Jotaro can out Bad Ass Dante. And he can stop time too. Ooooh… I don’t think Jotaro would rip him to shreds like Dio would unless the situation really called for it but he would probably beat the crap out of the guy. His Stand can catch bullets for christs sake…

Anyone else in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Fighting game he could probably take out. I’m not really going deeper into the JoJo Manga world other than that game. I’m trying to stick to talking about games and not anything else before someone brings up Dante vs. Jesus Christ.

hey , dante has quicksilver remember …

just downloaded the OST , hit me up through PM , torrents are not allowed in srk

From Talbain and up things are going to start getting rough for him.

He’d probably die to the top tiers, dantes strong, but hes nothing special compared to actual superiror beings that gulp galaxies and warp universally.

Dantes opponents and final bosses are all conjecture. Mundas and Axbras, arent universal gods, they barely scale to an island.

Dante is one of those insufferable op heroes thats alot weaker than he lets on and only gets memetically hyped.

Demitri turns him into a girl.

Honestly at this point in time Dante has already defeated Jedah twice. Once in Project X Zone 1 with help, and in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, with no help. So even in what if scenarios, Dante still takes it. Even the shrunken down Pyron gets defeated in Project X Zone 2, with lots of help if you want but it’s entirely possible to defeat him in the game with just the Dante and Vergil team.

No argument that a full sized Pyron could defeat Dante. And squeeze planet Earth like a pimple if he felt like it, but the fact that he doesn’t leads to his downfall.

Dante and Demitri seemed on equal footing in Project X Zone 1, even got along. This was an injoke of sorts since their respective Japanese voice actors were friends.

This is all subjective and conjecture of course but as it stands, Bandai Namco, Capcom and Marvel (MvC I’s scenario was written by Marvel) are all still giving Dante the edge in this one.
