Dante is by far stronger than Demitri, maybe upto the ranks on A+ or S class devils in the DS universe… He defeated the satan (or at least his equivalent in DMC1) and judging by Jedas’ CFJ ending (though totally untrue), Dante might have the power to go head to head against him…

first off mundis is a weak demon lord he sucks! alright dante can shot 30 huge fireballs. Belial would wave his hand and kill dante with one fireball. Belial has killed 200 makai nobles with a swing of his arm. i don’t even think dante and kill 200 makai, he has a hardtime fight the likes of the phantom and Nelo Angelo, shit he almost die by the hand of Nelo Angelo. if Nelo didn’t see the chain that dante had around his neck? he would of die right there. demitri has enough power to crush weak ass Mundis. demitri beat the all power pyron who can grow larger the a planet, and also has endlss power. you think some like mundis can beat demitri or pyron i think not.

No, Pyron reduced himself to Demitri’s level to fight him. At his full size he could put the entire Planet Earth in his armpit and make a farting noise killing everybody.
And Neo Angelo would, cut Dante with his sword? Surprise, Dante can walk around with a sword in his body. He would survive that. And who defeated Neo Angelo in the end? Dante. It has to appear that the guy has some kind of challenge after all unless you want to play a Superman vs. The Pathmark Super Market Employees game and be bored to death.
Where do you get Mundis being weak from? If it wasn’t for Dante’s father defeating him, he would rule the Earth. Once again, Capcom said he equals Satan. Those are their words, not mine. Satan has never been portrayed as being a weak Demon.

what am saying is that dante couldn’t kill 200 of them at the same time? your right about that i forgot to post that about pyron doing that to himslef? you see if Neo Angelo cut off his head and removed his heart do you think he would survive? don’t think so, your right again cuz dante is hero and Neo Angelo? but am not goin by good guy bad guy issh. am saying at the time of the fight he was to die right there but being the good guy he didn’t. Just because Mundis looses does not make him weak. That makes his opposers stronger. Capcom is right to say someone is equal to Satan to make other characters seem stronger. There’s nothing wrong with that. And Belail who even shares one of Satan’s many names dies. The real Satan doesn’t anywhere unless we are talking in revelations many many years after the end of the World. The interpretations of all of these characters is quite free, take a look at Kame being God in Dragon Ball Z. Take a look at all the Anime “Fruity” Angels. Japan doesn’t play the Bible close to the chest. Mundis is a final boss. By video game rules final bosses are not weak.
OK, Dante would of gotten killed right then and there. In the end, he defeated Neo Angelo. In the end, he defeated Phantom and even kicked his but again in Devil may Cry 2. He had no trouble with anybody in DMC 2. When people talk vs, they talk about their latest incarnations. The series ends off with him going straight into the belly of Hell. What do you think is going to happen? He is going to kick everyone’s Ass in Hell weither they show this or not.
But the entire argument is extremely subjective. Capcom says Belail did this, Belail did that. We don’t know much about him and Hell I’m willing to bet even fewer of you have seen his only official art in Capcom Illustrations which is not even clear. As far as Mundis goes not only does everybody know what he looks like and what he’s capable of, he gets murdered and doesn’t “just up and die” like Belail does. As far as I 'm concerened until we have concrete evidence on Belail which we will never get there really is not point in making a Dante vs. Belail argument. The argument was can Dante defeat Capcom characters. Naturally, you think of characters that you can play as and have at least seen so yes, he can defeat all of those people. I’m sure there’s a “God” that rules all in the Street Fighter world, I’m not going to waiste time and say that this God can destroy Dante, it’s pretty mute.
BTW, Dante = Alive, Belail = Dead. He still wins in the long run. Now stop hating on Dante already. Your friend is free to say Dante rules all, there’s enough eveidence to back this up and you can ignore it because it is all subjective until someone from Capcom says that there is someone in Capcom that can kick his Ass and that will never happen besides becaues he is their Bad Ass.

Thing about Mundis is that Dante didn’t destroy him. He locked his ass up back in Hell. If Mundis got out and was able to build up his power Dante would lose.
In the DS world I think he’d have trouble with Demitri, Donovan, B.B. Hood (she’s crazy ya know and a lot more skilled than Lady), Jedah, and Pyron.
Dante being overpowered is part of the reason I don’t like DMC3. In all those scenes where he gets messed up by his foes they should show a health bar of how much damage is really being taken!

I don’t recall saying Dante destroyed Mundis, just that he defeated him. Demitri lost to Belail, didn’t even come close to defeating him, sealing him, etc. And as far as a rematch between Dante and Mundis goes, it’s Dante’s game. You know he’s gonna pull out a win if it happens.

Alot of people here are forgetting (or dont know) Dante’s insperations.
Dante’s name and storyline insperation come from the book “Dante’s Inferno” where a mortal man ventures into the depths of hell.
Then there’s also “D” from Vampire Hunter D, the half breed who hunts his own kind and other creatures of the night, and has been the insperation for dozens of characters like Alucard (Castlevania) Donnovan (Darkstalkers) and of course Dante (Devil May Cry) among others.
And in recent years in Japan the stylish gunslinger character types have all become popular, like Vash The Stampede (Trigun) Beyond The Grave (Gungrave) and Dante (Devil May Cry)
Basicly all Dante’s insperations are these amazing characters, so it shouldnt be suprising that Dante is this “amazing” godlike character given his insperations.
All of Capcom’s series have their godlike character and now we have Dante, who recently has become Capcom’s poster boy kinda. Years ago Ryu and MegaMan really stood out as Capcom’s trademark characters, and still do kinda, but with Dante’s recent popularity he’s starting to become more of a trademark character for Capcom.
Yes he can “run with the big guns” thats part of his character design to be able to do so.
Do you really think if Capcom had Dante go up against any of the DS chars that they’d seriously have Dante loose? No, they wouldnt because he’s their new poster and he’s extremely popular and people (+ Capcom) want to see him come out on top.
If Capcom had it their way they’d have Dante fight the entire DS cast and have him win, just cause it be a sight to see, and they’d know all the DMC fans would love seeing it.

Anyway, Exe looses because he’s only on a Game Screen, Dante can just step on the P.E.T. Unless Exe and Lan do a reverse Hub Style or something and bring him into the real world… Or if Dante somehow wound up in Onimusha Blade warriors Land… FEAR THE ELECTRIC FLOOR AND THE BIG HAMMER!
