People play MvC2 at the Lloyd Center Tilt in Portland on fridays. If you want to play on another day, let me know and I’ll tell people.
Thanks FatBear. Lloyd Center Tilt … hmm. I will post later this week. I get in friday evening around 6pm. I might swing by on the way to my friend’s place near Beaverton (map says the mall is on the way there), but I am thinking Saturday would be better for me.
What time would be good for you guys? Im guessing the earlier the better for me. Most likely I will have plans later in the evening.
EDIT: Friday doesnt look good for me. I should be there saturday. I will post a more definite answer later this week.
EDIT2: I might swing by on my way from the airport. Leaving the airport around 6:30ish. so… 7? I dunno. Might be too late for any competition.
I showed up today at 6ish-7pm. I played against some guy using wolv, storm, jug, doom, etc. GG’s. Sorry I had to leave suddenly. I will be there tomorrow. I’ll post the time tomorrow.
I-5 is where the action’s at!
GG’s to Tall guy who works at tilt, Sam B, guy in red hat (sorry, I didnt catch your name), and everyone else I played. Hit me up if you guys ever come down to socal.
Due to some discussion in an unrelated post, I got the urge to go play in an arcade for once. If anyone has been to Funtasia (Edmonds/Lynnwood, WA) recently, please post up and let me know how the controls in the MvC2 cab are working. The more details, the better. I’d like to know what type of sticks/buttons are in the cab, how responsive they are, and whether anyone bothers to play there. I’m not a high level player, so I’m not too particular about who I play. So long as I have to option of dropping in on a whim and facing some human opponents.
I ask about Funtasia because it’s got parking, and I don’t reside too far away.
Lazer Fun Zone in Olympia WA has a big MVC2 machine and a tekken 4 machine. They jacked up the damage tho on MVC2, i gotta make friends with somebody who works there to get the damage changed back.
Address is 1225 Ruddell Road S.E.
You wanna hear something random. I was at GameTrax in Puyallup.
I don’t know why im even posting about this but…whatev. So I go into the arcade they have a Melty Bread Act Cadenza cab.
Random.
At least i know how the buttons are setup now though. It was fuckin me up for a minute. Too lazy to find out i guess.
I’m gonna be at Bellis Fair on friday. For the bellingham guys, post up if you plan on being there. Gotta leave before 9:30, though.
I’ll probably be there by around 5 or 6.

Before you get all excited about holding tournaments…
Make sure everything works properly!
I don’t want random attendant telling me I don’t need Fierce Punch in Marvel when I tell him to fix it!
I think you have everything…
Project Justice, SC3, Some random GGX game.
We have Soul Cal 3 now too?
Wow…wtf…

OH the hub has a multicade machine now, fighting games include ST2, ST CE, does mega man count as a fighting game? i think it does. ill have to check the machine again for any more fighting games
Pablo and I were playing dat ST CE today, lots o fun
Word to that, Spokompton’s awful for fighting games. I’m thinking that just some sort of area get-together with consoles and a shitton of games would be great, but even the arrow-stompers around here can’t get that organized and there seems to be a bunch more of them.

Before you get your hopes up, please realize that the current, up to date version is: Melty Blood Act Cadenza, version B2 “Correction Edition”.
There is a high probability that the arcade has the original game, MBAC 1.0. Playing it is akin to playing GGXX when everyone is playing #R, or GG#R when everyone else is playing GGSlash, etc.
It’s still worth looking into… but that’s it.
For anyone who is interested in actually playing Melty Blood, there is a PC port available of the latest version.

AMF Bowling Alley in Eastgate!
Arcade Alert - There is an AMF Bowling Alley here in Bellevue in the Eastgate District in the same strip mall as Michael’s Toyota of Bellevue. What do all bowling alleys have in common, you ask? Arcade games, usually good ones whether vintage or top of the line. Points of interest = Jack N The Box, McDonalds, 7-11, Lil Jon’s diner, Dairy Queen, Albertson’s grocery store, Chevron/Standard gas station, Shell gas station, various asian cuisine restaraunts, Days Inn, Verizon coorporate offices, and of course, Bellevue Community College nearby. It is located on the corner of 150th Ave SE and SE Eastgate Ave, parallel to the 90 Freeway. I will make an update post with games on hand and condition of hardware soon. This could be yet another arcade we can potentially have a major impact on if we play our cards right.:wgrin:
In case anyone was wondering about Funtasia, I live really close and one day I got stoned and ventured down there, and well… let’s just say my Magneto five fierce combo ended at c.hp, superjump. And that there were like 4 eleven year-old girls literally hanging from the cvs2 sticks
Put two of them together and that shit’s legal. (no pedo)
