When is the next STREET FIGHTER or CAPCOM related comic coming out?

There is a TPB for Street Fighter Legends Chun-Li if you can’t find the first issue.

As for other comics, there was a series from Malibu a long time ago. Which was pretty bad lol but she did have a relationship with Ryu in that one which was pretty cool (well you are either a Ryu/Chun relationship fan or you’re not heh). The series was canned after 3 issues. There’s also a movie adaptation of the Van Damme movie, which is REALLY BAD but also very hard to find at the same time. I have like one copy and have never been able to find a second one.

There were some comics that were based on Masaomi Kanzaki’s SF2 manga and the issues were in color. They were flopped, edited and they never released the final part. Studio Udon has collected the entire SF2 manga in 3 books with no edits and it’s in black and white. Have to say the coloring for the older SF comics was really nice though. And they did keep Sagat’s scar and eye going in the right directions despite the flop which was a nice touch.

Speaking of manga, she appears in Masahiko Nakahira’s Street Fighter Alpha manga and Sakura Ganbaru! manga. All are available through Studio Udon. Just her silohuette shows up in Ryu Final.

UDON Entertainment ? Buy UDON Books

Nah, I don’t really like a Ryu/Chun thing, she’s best on her own, or unless Capcom can find or create a suitor. What about the Street Fighter II Turbo series?

Or the Street Fighter IV series? And then there’s the TPBs just called Street Fighter Vol. 1-5. I’m also thinking of getting the art books and tributes. Udon also has these other Mangas, like you said, Ganbaru, and SFIII Ryu Final. They have I think an older copy of Street Fighter II Vol 1 -3 with the original cast.

Any suggestions would be great, but now I need to find where they sell all this stuff.

“Street Fighter World Warrior Encyclopedia”

So amazon cancelled this on me after having it on pr-order for like 6 months

now where can I get it??

Karimloo - Chun-Li’s not in the SF4 comic. The SF TPBs cover all of the SF comics from SF, to SF2 all the way to SF2 Turbo. Same thing.

Chun-Li’s also in the Hong Kong comic for SVC Chaos that was released in English as a series of volumes. Beautiful artwork, crazy story… And I mean Akuma and Mr. Karate riding dinosaurs like horses crazy. Yes that does happen.

Jamarmiller - The book is really late so don’t know.

Really? I have seen pictures of her inside the comics of SF II Turbo. Or did you mean she’s not in the SF4 Comic?

I never heard of the SVC Chaos, or its comic. I wonder where I can find this stuff to buy. I don’t think I can get it online, and my local dealer is very under stocked in anything Street Fighter related.

Yeah Chun-Li’s not in the SF4 comic.

Chun-Li is SF2 Turbo which is collected in the Street Fighter TPBs. Volumes 5 and 6 cover the SF2 Turbo arc.

You can find all of the SVC Chaos comics on Ebay without too many hassles.

Studio Udon’s Zub, the writer behind Street Fighter Legends Ibuki is writing a series called Skullkickers for Image.

EDIT: Hey SRK member Tokoyama2000 is drawing it! Nice!

sweet!
thanks for the shout out, sano.
and the quick updates on SF content for the past few years!

Hey sure thing!

HUGE week for Udon next week! Street Fighter Wolrd Warrior Encyclopedia (13.99), Udon’s Art Of Capcom 2 (39.99) AND the Art of Resident Evil 5 (39.99) all hit comic book shops next Wednesday! Credit card get to work!

For those that buy all these books, consider shopping at Borders. They have sales from 25-40% every week and you can get big discounts off of the cover prices on these.

(also, Sano, can I add you on PSN?)

Yeah sure I’m SRKSANO. All I’ve been doing lately is playing Scott Pilgrim whenever I take 15 minute breaks from doing stuff. When I get back on my regular schedule I play SSF4 on Thursday nights Eastern. TVC on the Wii Sunday mornings.

Crazy triple threat with the Encyclopedia, Art of Capcom 2 and the RE5 art book coming out yesterday!Haven’t had time to read through all of them just yet but from what I’ve seen all three are really solid.

Picked up the Art of Capcom 2 and the Encyclopedia today at my LCS.

Just like the first one, the art of Capcom 2 is extremely solid. It’s broken into parts just like the first one. Basically goes: comics, hd remix, TVC, and then misc. rough drawing.
I loved seeing so much of the work they did for HD remix included. Also it has the limited con only Ibuki #1 cover in it. (Which I sadly missed during comic-con season)

The Encyclopedia for the most part is fairly simple. A few new art pieces were added for it and it does it’s job about conveying the general SF story. Though I am sure some plot points are going to be argued for awhile*

*Props though for finally giving an explanation as to why Gouken is in SS4/SSF4.

Not the right explanation unfortunately, props minus.

Hoping that SFL: Ibuki #4 won’t be delayed much longer.

I went to Fan Expo in Canada and met Omar and Chamba and some other UDON guys, I commished Omar 100 for a Full body and bought the Art of Capcom 2.

Gotta say, the Art of Capcom 2 book has a lot of pics you can view online, but there are some exclusive ones. I got the limited hard cover. FUCK EXPOS! They drain your money too fast.

Any word on the SF3 comic? When is it coming out ;.;

No one knows. Hopefully they’ll announce something after Ibuki wraps.

Hey check out this cover of Secret Six #25 that came out today heh heh! Special thanks to Demon Jim for pointing this out!

DCU | Comics

SFIII won’t be made I don’t think.

I mean, at the end of Turbo it wrote, THE END, but every other series before it said …To Be Continued. I think they’ll be helping Omar with “5th Capsule” and whoever else with VENT or something along those lines.

No it will be made as far as we know. There was promotional art work and several announcements about it. The when is all we don’t know. I think ‘The End’ just means the end of the SF/Alpha/SF2 arc, which for the comics was all one giant arc really.

Ah good to know. Thanks.
