When is the next STREET FIGHTER or CAPCOM related comic coming out?

You would think they’d try to stay away from that trainwreck.

We’re planning to do a new printing on the Sakura TPB soon so don’t pay any crazy prices.

lol, maybe I should sell my copy for silly money, then buy the new print… heh

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but I couldn’t find it anywhere else, even the Q+A thread.
I want to basically catch up on everything I’ve missed, so I pretty much just want to buy all the trades. From what I can tell, there are Street Fighter II trades 1-4, with 4 being a "bonus stage."
I also recall there being a Street Fighter II omnibus, with like all the trades compiled into one book. Is that available anywhere?

In addition, they just started Street Fighter II Turbo, right? So there is no trade out for that yet, correct?

So if I wanted to get the Street Fighter II trades, where could I find those? I can’t find them ANYWHERE, including Amazon, which has them out of stock.

Correct.

The rest you should ask in the Q&A thread, maybe Matt can help.

Thank you kindly.

Some information on Wildstorm’s upcoming Resident Evil comics.

***“The forthcoming Resident Evil series by Rick Sanchez and artist Kevin Sharp will introduce two new characters to the game?s milieu, and Wildstorm will collect Resident Evil: Fire and Ice illustrated Lee Bermejo as well as some of Lee?s original Resident Evil series when Wildstorm originally held the license to the game.” ***

A couple of things I found out at the NY Comic con with regards to Capcom stuff. Not too much on Udon really since they didn’t show up. I heard Alvin Lee was around but I didn’t spot him…

I talked to Mark Brooks and he will have artwork in Udon’s upcoming Darkstalkers fan art book.

Del Rey said the second volume of the Darkstalkers manga is only a few weeks away! :clapdos:

For Devil’s Due, all they gave me was a ballpark date for when the Bionic Commando and Lost Planet comics should be out - Spring 2009. They are still on the way and everything.

And no one at Wildstorm told me anything about their new Devil May Cry comic, so I still have no idea what’s going on with it… :bluu:

All and all not bad, more Capcom comics in 2009!

If you want more info on things I saw and did at the NY Convention along with pictures that I will toss up soon then just check out the our Official Convention thread -

Street Fighter IV #1 comic comes out this week and so does the game! :clapdos:

Check out this thread by Matt if you haven’t already, you can see the first 6 pages of SFIV. :lovin:

Borders tends to have those trades in stock. I have an older copy of #2 if you are interested in buying it.

The omnibus is impossible to get for a reasonable price. It’s around $300 on Amazon or $250+ on eBay.

Target Exclusive Comic?

Anyone check out the Target exclusive comic?

Street Fighter II #4 hits stores next week!

I’d like to know about that Target exclusive comic myself.

Ahwell, here’s looking forward to issue #4 of ST anyway!

Don’t know much about it. For SF4 issue 1 there was a special 10 dollar variant but since I couldn’t reserve that variant at my store I didn’t pick it up, just got the two regular covers.

Volume 2 of the Phoenix Wright manga comes out this week, this time focusing on Miles Edgeworth.

Just read about this in Comic Shop News. Udon is going to translate Kia Asamiya’s Silent Mobius manga, bringing out volumes that have never been released in English! :clapdos:

Resident Evil #1 comes out next week from DC/Wildstorm! Here’s a preview. The last panel on page 5 is awesome. RESIDENT EVIL 5 NEXT WEEK!

Random stuff lol -

In volume 38 of Naruto that Viz translated this week, there were some profiles on some of Masashi Kishimoto’s (the main writer and artist) assistants. Here’s some information about Sato Atsuhiro.

** Loves video games and knows a bunch about them. An expert in Street Fighter II.

  • Zangief - Give him an opening and he’ll (Sato Atsuhiro playing as Zangief) whirl you around and beat you in an instant.

  • Blanka - Give him an opening and he’ll zoom at you like a corkscrew and knock you out. *

Thought that was a pretty cool thing to point out.

There was another profile for assistant Shirasaka Akio.

** Wants to draw manga, but too entranced with the game Monster Hunter to stop playing, leading to trouble with assistant No. 8 (Itakura).

  • He idolizes assistant No. 3 (Ikemoto) like a brother. That’s because they share the same passion for Monster Hunter. *

Another Capcom game mentioned hooray!

BTW there is a manga for Monster Hunter in Japan called Monster Hunter Orage. It’s from Hiro Mashima who was one of the assistants on One Piece, so the manga is a lot like One Piece + Monster Hunter lol! The manga is a lot of fun and it’s different from the game in some areas. You really don’t need t know anything about Monster Hunter to enjoy the manga. Probably will not come Stateside since Monster Hunter is way more popular in Japan, but there is an ongoing scanlation of it that you can keep tabs on.

Joe Madureira is one of the greatest artists of all time and he’s doing some amazing cover art for the recent SF comic series. To bad he doesnt do the panels lol

The Resident Evil comic that came out this week was very good surprisingly since I didn’t care too much for Wildstorm’s older Resident Evil comics. The story started out in outer space which was quite a surprise, at first I thought I accidentally picked up a Dark Void / Lost Planet comic or something. A Licker and zombies on a space craft, that part had a nice Aliens movie feel going for it. And then we head back to Earth and you get to see the Bio Terrorism that was mentioned in Resident Evil Degeneration and will play a big part no doubt in RE5.

Super hyped for RE5 tomorrow! But I still have to finish RE4 lol! I’m close to the end so maybe I’ll finish the game tonight if I’m lucky.

SF Legends Chun-Li #2 comes out this week! :lovin:

In case anyone missed it, you can read the Rival Schools comic including the issues that were never released, FOR FREE! :clapdos:

AWESOME!
I would have totally missed that!
