Wow you guys are making an Okami book that is a tough artistic style to live up to. I guess if anyone can do it it would be UDON. Thats good that Okami lives on i have to get this as well as the Street Fighter 3 comics.
Itās a translation of the Japanese Okami art book, not one filled with Udonesque Okami art, official artwork from the game.

Seen some of the older versions of Robot before so I know this is a great series for anybody to get into. Glad to see Udon is looking over the horizon (thatās a compliment).

The book is called Maleficarum (tricky spelling, I think I got it right but not sure, Iāll check my copy in a bit) and is pretty hard to find actually since itās kind of old. Thereās manga based on Darkstalkers and Warzard in the book by Itoh Mami. I suppose you should check Ebay or Amazon for it, itās a rare find. Morriganās on the cover so you know what to look for.

So the people over at General Discussion etc are e-hustling me. I just came in here to see if I can get some comic news. Iāve been waiting so long for the UDON SF comics to resume again. Itās been like how long? One and a half years?
Last thing that happened was Ryu went off to train and he was fighting against the āEvil Ryuā wanting him to learn ādark hadouā. And Bison was getting ready and set invitations for the tournament.
So UDON said it is coming back this season right? Any news on that?
Now that SF4 is coming out. There is going to be a story connecting SF2 to SF3, I pressume.
Is this going to affect UDONās comics? I read that they are doing SF3 comics after the SF2 tournament. Maybe before that, they should do SF2->SF4->SF3? Because after the SF4 story is revealed, we can continue in a straight order.
Veelopower - Well since you got banned by someone - not me BTW - I would suggest reading this thread in full, at the very least since February '08 until now. A lot of the questions you are asking have been answered to a degree.
I will say that Udon is a aware of SF4 and Capcom of Japan is keeping them informed on whatās going on with it, at least according to what Zub has said at the NY Comic Con. Iām sure none of us will know how it will effect Udonās SF2 and SF3 comics at this point if it all, especially since we still donāt know a lot about SF4 right now storyline-wise, and there are things we wonāt know until we beat the game with every character reallyā¦
In other news, Shin Megami Tensei Kahn volume 2 comes out this week. I only mention it because Dante of Devil May Cry guest starred in Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, so kind of Capcom related lol! 
Anyway, very adult manga with lots of sex and nudity so under 17 not admitted.

Itās very tough to say. I suppose that Udon has enough lead time to incorporate SF4 details in both of their SF2 and SF3 comics. It kind of depends how the writer, Ken Siu-Chong wishes to play it.
SF2 happens before SF4 but itās possible to reference some of SF4, like how they had a very young Yun and Yang show up in the comics already. Unless thatās not a nod to Yun in SFA3 for the GBA and PSP, ackā¦
SF3 probably wonāt have much to do with SF4, unless Seth has ties to Gillās organization which some people suspect and other things like that, or if Ibuki makes the console version and is not just an Easter Egg (IE a character that canāt fit storyline-wise like Yun in SFA3) but again we just donāt know with 100% certainty how everything will play out. Iām sure Udon knows way more about SF4 than I do ha ha! :cybot:
Zub at the NY Comic Con was asked how they could put out a SF3 comic and a SF2 comic at the same time without 3 spoiling 2 and he answered that there arenāt that many characters from SF2 that graduate to SF3, and obviously they wonāt do something drastic like kill Ryu in SF2 lol! I imagine itās a similar situation with 4. Remember, at the time Zub said this we didnāt know that 4 takes place in between 2 and 3.
Capcom actually gave Studio Udon the go ahead to redesign SF2 and SFA characters for their SF3 comic, IE characters that do not show up in the SF3 series and they will be older and sport a new look. So the companies are working very close together. And Iām sure these scenarios wonāt spoil much of either 2 or 4, I think, I dunnoā¦

SF4, as in game updates like SF4 The New Challengers Turbo Maxx Fight for the Future? :looney: Well, probably not and SF4ās console release will probably be the only update. With next gen games going for 60-65 a pop, it doesnāt seem like people are willing to re-release games and that anyone would buy a game that costs that much again nowadays unlike the old SF2 days. Chances are if there are updates they will be all via downloadable content and/or patches for arcades.
Udonās not involved with SF4, the game itself at all, itās a Capcom of Japan game. Still if you pre-order SF4 you will get a smaller version of Udonās SF Tribute book. So the companies still work very closely even if the concentration is in different areas. And of course thereās Udon working on the HD SF2 game and creating newer SF2 endings of course. Ah good times, good times.
