You just criticized Smashboards for having the influential decisions made in a closed forum, when SRK’s open forums don’t actually matter because most of the people don’t have any influence anyway.
Well, while I don’t agree with the motion to boycott, I can understand why people would be upset. EVO works closely with the communities of other games, but they completely ignored the standards set by the Smash community, without it even being brought up for debate. It was like completely spitting in their faces. Not to mention, money is on the line, and people want to ensure that they don’t get randomed out by the right item appearing at just the right time and in the right place.
I really hope the OP is a troll because if not then the Smash community really needs to grow up already. They’re always insecure and try to gain acceptance from the FGC and need us to baby sit them.
Like Diifii said back in the day, “Smash… is not a fighting game. It’s a party game, ages 9 and down.” Judging by all the Smash threads we’re getting lately in FGD his quote seems to be on point.

I know everyone hates Smash but if we could all realize that all they want is to be involved in a community so that they can participate in tournaments, to have the opportunity to win money and the potential to gather, people really shouldn’t get so upset and if they do, just don’t post.
SRK is the equivalent with New York. NY thinks everyone outside of NY is gay and dumb and childish and no where near their level of intelligence but what they and SRK needs to realize is that everyone would love to live in NY but NY is full of elistist bullshit made to push those who are new or poor or polite down so that they can continue feeling falsely superior. I learned my lesson about SRK’s maturity with my Smash thread but I’m surprised you guys don’t reflect on how lucky you are that you have such a large group of people caring about such a niche thing. And the only reason it’s so popular is because people accepted lots of different competitive games. Take a lesson, post-trolls.

To answer your question, it’s because many of the posters here at SRK, somewhat, are biggoted, wannabe gangsters who spend every day wishing they could fight for real, but instead settle for online trolling and trash-talking in fighting game forums.

Anyway, I don’t like SSB. Not because it’s bad, but because I don’t /get/ it. With that said, I don’t care if you guys post in the forums, because it’s still a fighter. There’s lots of them I’m not a big fan of, no need to judge you over it. You can make a Shaq-Fu thread for all I care, because, at the end of the day, like I said, it’s a fighter.
EDIT: Not “all” of them here are like that. Just the trolls. A lot of people here want to communicate about fighters. Those are the ones you want to look for. Sadly, some of us would rather run our mouths than shut up and play.
