Doesn’t work. + holding charge quickly becomes as easy as breathing.
Ugh, I really wish Zero’s forward dash was better, or anything like how it was in the games.
Instead of that Derpy jog towards the opponent.
What I’m doing is putting one finger each on the L,M, and H buttons. Seems to do what I want. I can release-press any button I need to use and hold my charge. Gonna practice with it until it feels right.

Happy early v-day fellow zero mains!

Noticed once I do the LL online, it takes me about 30 minutes of offline practice to get the timing back… Not gonna lie though, I feel like a boss after landing a full LL in a online match, lol
I stopped playing online - the timing was throwing me off so bad I could barely get off my neutral game stuff. My competitive nature would eventually take over and I’d play Lame Zero just to get the win.
Fought against Predator’s Haggar/Chris/Wesker team. Lost 8-10. Feelsbadman
He’s leveled up a lot. Any tricks against Haggar with Zero?
Against Haggar I don’t super jump, I try to not press buttons unless he can’t pipe/lariat, and if he super jumps I lightning under for chip/crossup.
I try to beat the pipe with j.L, or air throw, usually works but you have to be out of air throw range to start or else you’ll get thrown yourself. I try to just get Haggar in the drones so I can safely mixup without having to worry about a Lariat -> death combo.
I think if I micromanaged the level 3 buster better I could have had a safer neutral game. Any time Haggar superjumps, it’s easy to just Hienkyaku M to the other side and stay away forever. But if he calls Chris assist then you get hit and then you’ll be under Haggar pressure. But if I shot a level 3 buster on reaction to any assist call, Chris would get tagged and I could safely cross under. The easier method is just to constantly pepper the ground with level 1 busters, since that also keeps assists in check as well.
Haggar should be no problem for Zero, but I’ve never really fought a Haggar like Predator’s before. I lost a lot of rounds just because I got hit by a Lariat I could have baited or punished. Playing lame seems to be the way to go against him for sure.
You can cross under safely with lightning M. Just normal jump or super jump to normal jump height and do it under haggar, above Chris. I try to keep a lvl3 charged and throw Hadangeki H which keeps chris in check. Release buster for safety if Haggar is looking scary.
Another thing I try is to let him call chris, bait the super jump, and then lightning M at normal height to get behind and then release buster on chris. You can follow up as far as lightning down rekkoha safely with a DHC for about half life on chris. If I had a better punish I could end Chris in one bad call without Xfactor. But even rekoha isn’t strictly safe if he hugs the air/is close to the corner.
Still going to take what you wrote to heart and try to jab/throw him out of pipe pressure.
Who’s the Zero player that skisonic talks about in the recent podcast? cant hear it good.
Incoming guys. The Zero Army is growing.
Haven’t listened to it. If I get a chance to check it out, I’ll try to get an answer for ya. Got a timestamp?
So…who watched Final Round XV tonight?
Some awesome Zero play from Mihe (who I’ve never heard of), Stone, Flocker, and POK CHOP to a lesser extent. LL’s all over the place!
Yeah Mihe was impressive!
Atashiwa a.k.a. Mihe a.k.a. Sams Club a.k.a A million other names.
Flocker surprised me, really liked his Zero last night and I wasn’t a fan of his originally. Just give Flocker Jam Session and he’s got my favourite Zero atm tbh. More so than Sam just because Sam’s style atm seems too ballsy/ gung ho half the time I try that shit I get clobbered.
A friend of mine posted on my wall about Mihe’s Zero on my facebook and was talking about how crazy his Zero/Vergil/Dante was vs. Noel Brown. I linked him to a vid of Sam’s Club and was like “it was like that but better” and I was all “wtf how.” I found out later that via SRK that Mihe was Sam’s Club/Atashiwa. I lol’ed at myself for that.
Flocker’s really leveled up (He was ridiculously good before but he’s just crazy now). I played some casuals with him at a February tournament we all went to and he NEVER dropped the LL. Watching him do it in person also let me hear the timing for it and now I can do the LL too.
Yeah, didn’t know that was Sam’s Club. He’s gotten so much better since Texas Bar Fights.
And Flocker yes. He’s improved a lot as well.
Sam just destroyed Knives lol.
Omfg sams club just bodied Chris g…

Final round was so hype… upset at myself for losing to a random nova player and almost beating floe in loser semis…its starting to look like zero is the new wesker. Zero players were EVERYWHERE. I like the fact that my favorite character is getting love but at the same time people flocking to him now after seeing what he can do. I really hate that lol

mihe aka sam’s club is the most gdlk in-tourney zero I have personally seen. Flocker also impressed me as well. those ambiguous air-m-command dash to buster cancel mixups were too damn good! Final Round had a bunch of legit Zero players and I was glad to see all of em
