When more Zero’s get the game can someone figure out a good use for Strider Y Assist for Zero ( or any assist)? I want so much for Strider to replace Dante. Every time I use Strider assist though I’m like, if that was Jam session I could have done X instead …

If I ran strider I’d probably run Gram assist because wall bouncing, half screen assists are sexy

His assists are ground bounce, gram, and teleport kick.

The third one is interesting because it acts as a pseudo anti air, but is also anti keepaway.
I may try the Gram assist in a Strider Zero dante team.

When is a beam assist not a beam? When its a half screen wall bouncing sword.

Really not liking the new Zero honestly. Blah.

Yeah… he does kinda feel a little “mushy” when compared to Vanilla.

I don’t really like him either. Harder to combo off buster now for some reason, no hard knockdown. The buster tricks you can do seem kinda gimmicky, i’d much rather have the longer combos from before and the better buster.

Assist hit stun scaling sucks, having trouble doing the steb ender with Jam Session on top of Dante on point being somewhat worse. Not sure who to replace him with though, Jam session was so useful.

H Sensuizan is amazing though, shit goes like full screen if you super jump with it. I think that’s by far his best buff in this game.

I’m trying to make it work. I almost got a replacement for the Steb combo, almost, not yet. And the Shippuga loop still works, just replace the L’s with M’s and it combos.

But I have a lot of work to do to make the new Zero work. I will try.

Did tell ya the nerfs weren’t negligible, really not liking the 3 actions in the air nerf. Makes getting in a lot harder, also eye of agamotto vcos it lasts longer than pretty much any assists I’ve seen, Zero can now- in place of the Steb extender- do OTG, EoA, S xx sjc. Ryuenjin xx lv3 Buster xx Raikousen xx TK Sentsuizan

It also gives Zero some monumentally broken resets and mixups in the corner cos you can make it such that 1 hit of EoA remains on screen kinda like a Trish trap if you launch just early enough. Tried all 3 techs, opponent resets in the same position. I’m gonna be looking into this a bit more but yeah EoA is really fucking good.

Will get a full rundown once I figure out why that’s the case.

xf1 double rekkoha still works - actually the knockdown seems to be 100% now so im happy with that (rekkoha xf 5s j.m m lightning land jump buster lightning divekick)

Rekkoha XF1 S, sj.M, L Raikousen, j.Buster, L Raikousen, TK Dive into Rekkoha still works too. Gotta be careful doing Raik in corners now since it crosses up so end up switching sides, backdashing fixes that though. Still enough time to land, backdash and hit.

ghetto combo i thought of on the fly. doom assist. 750k dmg, close to corner. mostly builds meter for itself.

midscreen you can use j.M for the first divekick, but thats it. it reduces damage down to 725k or so and meter gain too.

im not gonna bother, but you can probably add 1 more knockdown with another assist if you get the right one. you can use 5h and 6h but it reduces damages
