Who said they were gonna post videos of the trails?
Thanks man, I find that uploading videos to YouTube at 60fps turns out bad, since YouTube chops every second frame to cut it down to 30fps. So what I did was, record at 60fps, render and upload at 30fps, and it seems to turn out just fine. =)
I have a AverTV CaptureHD, records directly via HDMI which is great, my setup looks like this.

It’s a bit different now (moved everything into my room ETC), but still the same.
That would be me good sir.
I’m finding it hard to do stuff since my HRAP V3 SA is getting dual-modded so I’m stuck with this shitty T6 Wireless Stick, I need to find another stick ASAP LOL.
EDIT: I’m really liking how you can connect a LVL3 after a fully charged buster shot from full screen.
So I’m gonna tell you guys what to look for and you can get back to me.
-Check the air priority of Zero’s lightening attack. See if it can actually work A v A decently well and if it does if you can combo after it. Check if OTG it allows for any unique combos or set ups as well.
-Check if the B version of his dive is still punishable like in TVC and check if the C version is still advantage. Also check if doing Shadow super makes B version safe like in TVC.
-Check if there is a cross up you can do with the B Version of his dive Yun/Yang style so that it’s a 50/50 if you put yourself in that situation.
-Check what kind of invulnerability if any he has on his command dash.
-Check if he can combo off of any of this throws.
-Check if the loop even remotely still exists.

k see now THAT is a good post, I’ll test that stuff out in a bit (just got my copy 10 minutes ago)
Has anyone seen a mission mode video yet?
Zero0X3 is making a video.
-
Will test, but from what I’ve played I don’t think it works well as air to air. Level 3 Z-Buster shot allows time for the A lightning to hit in the first place, since without the A lightning you can’t tech until until you touch the ground after level 3 shot.
-
I’d need to know who has the fastest normal to test punishing qcf+B but it’s never been punished if I did use that.
-
Can’t cross up with any of the dives, tried this in training mode for a bit with no luck.
-
ground command dash/teleport is definitely vulnerable. I definitely feel like i’ve been hit out of air version as well.
-
he can combo off of forward air throw with an OTG assist (Trish trickshot, Wesker gun, Magneto capture). You’d do air bnb end with D/S to slam to ground Call Assist then do Dive C/H, shippuga, launch again.
-
Besides the one time loop with 6C > 5ABC, haven’t seen any loop potential. Perhaps if I grab Ryu and try that hadouken assist. But really Marn played TvC and Zero, you think he would of found out by now if you could do something similar. I’ll try anyway.
Oh cool mission vid. I would love to check it out. Props to whoevers doing it!
Edit:
I figure there is a way to do command dash loops with zero its just gonna take some try but odds are it wont be like the TvC version. I bet they fixed that.
Maybe try- launch, j.m, j.m, j.h, command dash, j.h, j.s.
Once again I dont own the game but the idea is the more hard attacks you put into your combo the more damage your going to net. Simple.
You can cross up a crouching opponent, and sometimes a standing opponent. You can see this a lot clearer if you put it on crouch.
I can confirm the vulnerability of the command dash, I totally got hit before I passed through the opponent with his B one.
Zero’s Level 3 is the weakest Damaging Level 3 in the game at 350K…though it’s still damn good and not the worst one (that honor goes to Ryu…ugh).
I can live with that since the startup is pretty amazing (catching Chun Li spamming instant air dashes) and punishing things that you normally can’t punish full screen (Amaterasu weather super in between, hail storm set up raw) and on top of cancelling guard stun with x factor make it a pretty useful level 3.
I’m not sure if it has been answered, but Zero can no longer cancel his launcher into Ryuenjin. At least I wasn’t able to do it on that dreadful 360 pad.
Oh, I forgot to mention it when I found out, but it seems that all launchers in MvC3 have this rule where you can’t cancel them into anything, specials or supers, unless x-factored.
Oh that’s pretty bad then. I liked me some launcher>teleport mix-ups with Strider :(.
I really want to see that trials video, and if we can finally find that 650 damage combo. (hope)
I finish work in 3 hours, then I’ll zip home and record the last few, then I’ll render and upload. =)
Oh it doesnt matter man but thanks a lot! Dont rush it, enjoy the game :).
But seriously if somebody finds a 1 meter combo with only one super no X-Factor, I would feel even more hype than right now.
Kinda strange that Zero is aware of MegaMan Zero.
Thanks for posting this! It’s Zero’s character development in the Zero series that made him my favorite video game character of all-time. That and just how much of a badass he is in general. Hehe… Kinda wish Omega was in this game, too.
Wow, just got back from watching a guy playing the game (friend-of-a-friend type of deal), and compared to the others… Zero really got shafted on his Ultra. I mean, I’m not a big fan for long, drawn-out clips, but if you’re busting out a Level 3, Iron Man absolutely puts Zero to horrific shame.
Although, I’d say Akuma also got screwed in the “That was so awesome to watch” department. His Raging Demon is a blink-and-you-miss-it ordeal now, which I suppose might seem more appropriate to some, but it takes away from the gravity of the thing. Still, not nearly as bad as Zero’s; his just makes me sad.
Hey guys I just finished all the trials now, editing the video now!
