WHATAMIFIGHTINGFOOOOOOOOO!: the MvC3 Zero Thread

…whats dante’s level 3…? lol.

I don’t know the name for it, but he slashes you a couple of times with the sword.

(Think Deadpool’s Cuttin’ Time super)

I like deadpools cuttin time super, but mostly cause its badass while mixed with Deadpools comedy.

A lot of the level threes are surprisngly simplistic so far… Arthur’s is explosions, is modoks just a big beam?? The coolest ive seen are ryu’s shin shoryu and iron man’s proton explosion thing.

I wonder if they did that because of two things:

  1. Because of the negative feedback developers were given when the average joe ‘fighting-fan’ looked at the SSF4 Ultras.

  2. Because it’s a fast paced game and the Level 3’s being too complex would break up the flow of the game, and in the end eat up too much time from the clock.

The later sounds more accurate.

He does Stinger a few times, then finishes off with…

another Stinger, but with a COOL CAMERA ANGLE.

Zero’s voice talent sucks.

The guy in MMX4 couldn’t act for shit, but at least he didn’t come off as a total prick in his depiction of Zero. He was more of a hero type, while Johnny Bosch makes Zero sounds like he’s possessed by Lelouche’s douchebag personality.

The end result would be the destruction of everything, so zero :V

Oh God, I hate Lelouche. He’s probably more than half the reason I’ve never liked Code Geass. Personally, I don’t know why they didn’t use the VA from Megaman X: Maverick Hunters and the OVA that was in that. He was pretty good.

I agree. He was in X8, and I’m pretty sure he was in Command Mission as well. I forgot his name, but I mentioned him earlier on in this thread.

In my opinion, he would have been fine. Plus, he would have probably gotten paid less than JYB (that is, if voice acting pays in that fashion, more popular, more money). I mean, I like JYB in a lot of roles, but I really don’t think he fits Zero too well. But, I like the fact that he could pronounce Zero’s various techniques.

Wow are you guys serious? I think Zero’s voice is awesome. I don’t even know who the fuck JYB is, (never watched Power Rangers outside of the original cast) but I’ll gladly keep Zero in English for this game.

Yeah, a lot of people complained bout ultras in sfiv, but they did some with too much animation and others not enough. For example, when ryu shoots a metsu it shouldnt focus on him actually firing, but instead a focus on the actual fireball and impact of it. Kind of like the DBZ games, when a beam or fireball hits. As for other ultras, it should have made them a little shorter and more simpler. But not reduce them to the kind of animation in a super. Just my opinion.

An level 3/ultra should take 3-7 seconds.

When I first heard Zero’s voice I thought of Ichigo from Bleach not Lelouche!

I say its cuz they normally take too much time off the clock. There are 6 lifebars in this game people, and they can regenerate. Level 3’s should take 5 seconds of pure animation maximum, unless the lvl 3 is specifically designed for delay tactics.

They COULD just freeze the clock during level 3s if its that big a deal.

I just wanted to point out that Rekkouha - X-factor - Genmurei does stupid good damage. I was just watching the first video against She-Hulk and couldn’t believe she actually got KO’d with almost half her health left.

Same voice actor.

They could and should, but judging from recent ventures they won’t. But if they will, then the animation can take 5 minutes for all I care. Give me a chance to go make a sammich and come back.

Also, for another reason why some level 3 Supers aren’t as “Super” as others: Not everyone is going to have one? Or has that changed?

Also, with the super kiddie TvC simple mode being implemented in MvC3, I’m pretty sure level 3 supers were going to be unable to be used. I read this somewhere (They didn’t want competitive players in tournaments using simple mode). Pretty sure this was Seth saying so, on one of the streams.

Yeah that was said.

Poor zero, his thread is ‘VA and Lvl3 chat’ >>

I guess I will jump in and say that I actually really like his Level 3 Hyper. Not every hyper has to be a 20 second long mini-movie production. Zero’s is short and to the point while also being indicative of his greatest strength: slashing the shit out of someone with his Z-Saber.
