I still remember my first fighting game experience. SFII:CE had just come out and the local arcade got it, I had never head of Street Fighter, but I saw two guys playing it. One was using a sumo wrestler, and the other some military guy in a general uniform. All of the sudden the military guy FLEW ACROSS THE SCREEN ON FIRE. From tha moment I had to play it, and I’ve never been the same since.
SF2WW in a arcade here on the island that already closed.
SF2 WW. Random Detroit Greyhound station.
sf1, but just against the cpu.
Though my first REAL fight was with my brother at the end of Double Dragon at the arcade. He whooped my ass any time we’d beat the last boss. Must repress memories… gotta get the bat, NO!!
I used to love playing those old beat-em ups and fighting the other guy instead. (Battletoads for NES)
sf2 ww on the boardwalk next to coney island.

street fighter 2 on my friends snes
I picked up an issue of Gamepro back in '93 that had an article on Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES. When the time came for me to get an SNES that Christmas, Turbo was one of the games I practically BEGGED Santa for. I’ve been throwing shoryukens ever since.
Fatal Fury on my cousin’s Genesis. We used to think Joe was the best character just because he could slide kick! That carried over into SF2, where everybody would pick Bison and go slide kick after slide kick. It was hilarious looking back at it now!
