That lawsuit was never against SNK. That was against Data East after Fighter’s History was released.
You guys i think that magazine is awesome, but in complete no hatin on the characters at all b/c i think clark is awesome…the reason there both big(ralf and clark) is because it was easy for them to kill two birds in one stone by copying and pasting there heads on the same body and then making the body do the same animation for both in a large majority of there normal punch and kicks. So when i read why clark and ralf are big now i was like sigh its not because of story it was to save time and add to cahracters without having to completely hand drawn them separtely.(let the flaming begin again i guess )

I think that if SNK had actually been able to do the roster that they wanted to do but couldn’t, then the complains about the roster would’ve been MUCH fewer.

Not a hyuge KOF nerd so I don’t know many characters (Terry, Robert, Kyo, Iori, etc.) but playing 99 Dream Match on my Dreamcast made it kind of hard to pick a main team cause of all the choices. XII at least brings it down a little to help me out in picking characters.
I say this because as a new player all the characters people are mentioning that they need or don’t want are all “whatever” to me, I’ll really play with anyone. So whatever makes the fans happy and keeps SNKP in business is what I want.

Capcom never sued SNK.
They made Dan, then SNK gave Akuma moves to Yuri, then we got CVS. They were always friendlyd jokes. Capcom used super moves, power bars, rolls, teams, charges and a lotta other SNK concepts, so no way they would have the balls to sue SNK for that.
Actually, story says that Ryo and Robert were created by the same guy that designed Ryu and Ken. He actually created the Robert design for Ken, but Capcom chose the easier headswap, so the design was later re-used when he moved to SNK.

Yo are u serious with that…Do me a favor before you make yourself look stupid again, select both Clark and Ralf and head to practice mode. then one by one set the dummy character to perform every normal via the menu options, then u perform the same one there is not difference in 95% percentage of the normals except the speed. There’s no body difference, frames are no difference, no animation difference no nothing. There head swapped for all lows,most standing grounds, and all airs. And for your information i would draw circles around, for u to even suggest that there bodies were uniquely drawn shows your lack of visual interpretation.

ralph and clark are swaps moron, the same way ryu, ken, sean & gouki are, and sougetsu and kazuki are, the same way gill and urien are. just cause they got a few different moves, standing animations and such doesnt seperate them when the initial designs and animations and frames are the same dumb ass. hanzou and fuuma must be seperate sptites cause i think i saw fuuma turning a firewheel, hanzou didnt have that so he must have been created seperatly and from scratch.
Ralph and Clark do look like they have they both have the same body, but all of their frames and poses are different (maybe they share the block, but I don’t remember). That would mean that they are not swaps IMO. Ryu and Ken’s only difference is the color and their heads, now that’s a swap.
but arent the legal issues only for k9999, since thats why they made nameless for kof2002um, and angel is still there
Not only the former legal issues, but she was a NESTS agent and the story is done with NESTS.
No man they are complete swaps…they do all the same normals they just have a different rate of speed check it out for yourself in practice mode
