Interesting. I thought SNK wanted KOF12 to mirror '98 and '02 in that storyline was abandoned in favor of pure fighting. Not that it matters, really, but a story would be welcomed too.
Anyway, keep Mature (but replenish her moveset), add Vice, Whip, Billy Kane, Gato, Tizok, Mai, Geese, K’, and King. Can’t think of anyone else to add.
Why remove Kensou? Dude’s got just as much “seniority” as any of the other ppl you mentioned. Plus we got a brand-new Kensou in this one, let him get some run (he’s getting plenty of love on my team)
Also, Raiden FINALLY gets a shot at KoF, and you want to remove him? C’mon, give the guy a chance.
If you HAD to remove someone, Liz and Mature would be at the top of my list. Mature with her rekkas and fireball back would be a keeper though.
Honestly if they did have K’ and Mai like everyone thought, this roster would be A-OK imo.

lol, funny. Robert is suave and pimp dude and his kicks are awesome, and Ryo is definitely not “Ryu and Ken combined together”, just shows your ignorance with a claim like that.
Anyways, I would of kept everyone, but balanced out everyones movelists more so everyone at least has 4 specials minimum but no more than 6, and two DM’s for all charactes.

At first I was dissapointed to hear that the roster was small…No, “small.” Then I realized I was only really missing a small handful of characters. None of whom are females, by the way. It’ll be swell when we can DL Mai, but only if K’ comes along for the ride. I’m also a big Eiji mark, so I’d like to have him back.

people should understand that no one roster will make everyone happy because everyone likes different characters.
Tons of people are wishing mai was in the game, I have always hated mai. Many say goro could get the axe, personally goro is the only grappler that interests me(hes the only judo guy in any fighting game which is cool as a Judo guy myself). etc.
I think the roster as is works fine. The character balance seems to be there, characters all have a dramatically different feel (Ie: no ryu/ken/akuma similarities). and I think the roster at the very least has a few characters that suit anyones playstyle.
Having said that, if I was to make my own personal addition to the cast it would include Geese, but I’m fine witht he game the way it is.

Ummmmmmmmmmm please tell me how the fuck is ryo not ken and ryu put together please explain that, they all three wear the same thing, his hair is short like ryus and blonde like kens, they fire fireballs, they uppercut, hes a total ripp of them its really fuckin crazy u would say otherwise…robert moves arent lame, his design is very boring and uncreative hes a rough draft throuwn into the game without much thought.

As much as I’d love to see a bunch of favorites make their eventual returns, the current roster is fine, except for the lack of characters involved with the NESTS saga for whatever reason. :\
ryo and robert are such blatant rip offs of ryu and ken that capcom created Dan to mock them.
Dan wears a pink gi and screams gadoken with his short fireballs as a mock of ryo and his ponytail is mocking robert.
This is not my theory, this is fact, after world heroes was released capcom sued snk for the blatant rip off of its street fighter franchise, they lost in court so to mock snk they created Dan as a parody of ryo and robert. Havent you ever wondered why dan and ryo have a special intro when they fight in capcom snk 2? thats why.
Now I’m not hating on ryo or robert, I like both of them and I like how in this game they play totally different, but you have to at least acknowledge that they started off as blatant ryu and ken clones.

The idea of Ryo and Robert did come from Ken and Ryu but SNK did a good job of making those characters have their own identities.
