What Stick/Controller Should I Buy? Read the Guide on Pg 1 Before Posting

Its like the VLX is a Porsche or a Lamborghini, the TE2 is more of a Camaro or Musttang, and that budget $40 stick with knock off parts is a Yugo.

Now I want to get a fightstick Alpha and give it Yugo themed art.

I have a TE2+ ordered through Newegg that I “purchased” February 23rd but it still hasn’t shipped yet. It says its a pre-order even though it has already been released obviously. It says that the “release date” is March 8th, which I could have sworn just the other day it was the 3rd. I saw on Amazon that if you ordered today that you most likely wouldn’t get your stick until April. Is this true for Newegg as well? Are they just going to keep pushing the “release date” a few days at a time until they actually have a stock?

Maybe I’m just crazy or something but if so that seems really shitty. Should I contact Newegg customer support; Would they actually have an answer?

Except they’re charging $80 for that tiny thing. MCZ should have kept using the SE molds.

TE2+ vs TES+?

Functionally, they are the same. What the TE2+ offers over the TES+ are features like an easy open case and removable plexi cover on the artwork. I won’t go into all of the complaints about the TE2+ because ultimately, they are very minor nit-picking.

another big advantage of the tes+ is the fact that you can actually currently buy one: http://store.madcatz.com/categories/fightsticks-category/Street-Fighter-5-Arcade-FightStick-Tournament-Edition-S-for-PS4-PS3.html

Nah, I’ve been keeping watch on my NewEgg order and it did indeed shift release dates multiple times. My guess is that NewEgg relies on Madcatz direct supply and it didn’t ship out until late Feb. This means they won’t even get stock in until next week so hopefully that 3/8 date is correct for when NewEgg receives it.

It’s kinda pissing me off because I could have ordered it directly from MadCatz and likely gotten it a week or two sooner but I had some giftcards I wanted to use on Newegg. Best advice is probably just keep your “preorder” up but I’m going to be looking for stock elsewhere and if I find some I’ll cancel my Newegg order because who knows if they’re even telling the truth about 3/8.

Does anyone know if any stores will be getting stock of TE2+ because if so they’ll get it probably next week?

Well I ordered my TE2+ from Amazon on Feb 12th. That was a little bit after they put up the message saying anyone who had ordered after Jan 26th wouldn’t get their orders until April. I decided to just keep my pre order because I used a gift card and can be patient.

Besides, I’m sure a lot of people cancelled and went elsewhere to buy it so I’m hoping I will get it in March sometime.

Could be similar with Newegg.

That’s what I’ll do then, just keep my order up unless I can find one earlier from someplace else, which I doubt unfortunately. Cross my fingers to get it sometime in March hopefully. Though I could cancel and go with the TE+ that is in stock on Mad Catz site; though I much prefer the looks of the TE2+ and the ease opening case. I would be more patient if I hadn’t already sold my Hori RAP4 in anticipation of getting this stick and to help cover the cost.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, I need help and recommendations. I’m getting back into the SF scene, but this time on PC and I’m looking for a new stick. I want something I can use on my PC and PS4 that has Xinput to avoid having to use a third party program.

Here’s the problem: that Teyah latency test is driving me crazy. I would really appreciate recommendations - money isn’t really an object, but I’m not looking to spend more than like 250.

Thanks for the response; any idea if that has Xinput?

Yep, has a switch for PS3/PS4/PC and the PC is xinput.

Wow that is EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you!

Take the whole latency thread with a grain of salt. There is alot of people questioning the methodology and the accuracy of the testing as well as the thread offers no explanation to how to interpret the results.
There is the question that is a slight bit of input lag on the PCB might be desirable? Could some of the input latency from the game it self? We don’t know. Things are not as definitive as television lag.

The TES+ comes with full Sanwa parts, I am not sure about Xinput

The newer Hori 4 Kai has Hori made Hayabusa parts and has Xinput.

Get a cheap stick with quality parts and install a Brook ps3/ps4 pcb. That particular board also has a forceable xinput mode on pc.

Hey guys, just curious if anyone could give me the rundown of the pros/cons of the Pro V Hayabusa v.s. the HRAP V4?

I wasn’t sure if the Teyah sticklag test was 100% reliable, but I have a HRAP Kai at the moment, and I’m not sure if there is a noticeable delay or not.

Hrap V4 has no touchpad, and Kuro buttons, V Hayabusa has touchpad and new Hayabusa buttons. Both have different cases too.

That is pretty much it. If you don’t like the buttons or joystick, you can always swap it out for another brand parts like Sanwa or Seimitsu parts.
