hrap 4. The te2 has a lot of nice features but also some problems. I would say a simple hrap4 is a perfect first stick since its cheaper and more solid.
Doubtful that it will ship on a Sunday, but if it goes out on Monday, you should definitely have it by the end of the week, if not sooner. They have 4 distribution centers, depending on where you live and where they have the items stocked, it could have a faster overall ship time.
I’m new to the forum, but question for taller gamers/big handed players.
What would you recommend between the Madcatz TE2+ and the TES+? I’m leaning towards the TES+ because I wouldn’t mind taking it apart to modify it, but it’s hard for me to make a choice between the 2 without being able to feel them in person. I wanted to get a fightstick, but apparently missed a pre-order period (which is crazy), so I wanted to get some info tonight and possibly preorder tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any help.
What you are wondering why their is a shortage is because its actually really difficult to predict a sales forecast.
You under order and you have shortages, you over order you are left with a huge backstock that could just sit there and loose you money.
Unsold items sitting in a over stuffed warehouse just just losing you money everyday.
Not just the item not being sold, but you are loosing money on the keeping of that item in that warehouse, as that warehouse needs staff, security, possibly AC.
That item is also taking the place of new product that could come in and be sold, less space for new items means less new items you can bring in that could sell.
And if that item sits there too long it could degrade. Sticks have a lot longer shelf life than lets say a pallet of Cheerios cereal. And eventually that cereal will expire and can no longer be sold.
That would happen eventually to the sticks, even if they don’t fall apart they can still become obsolete as new sticks and even no consoles come into market.
As it is right now, any unsold PS4 stick without a touch pad (or button to simulate a touch pad press) is not going to sell as well as the newer sticks that does have a touch pad.
That older stick would probability put on clearance of get rid of the item and sold at a net lost.
I got my TE2+ in today. I gotta say I like it a lot better than my Hori rap4. Its a little bit heavier and doesn’t move at all on my lap unlike my hori. And I immediately noticed the difference in the sticks and buttons. I didn’t realized the buttons on the Hori were bigger than the te2+. I prefer the smaller ones on it because my fingers don’t have to reach as much like on the Hori. This stick just feels like high quality. Now I need to decide if I’m going to sell my Hori or keep it and attempt to try modding for the first time.
Ordered a TE2+ on the 31st, wasn’t expecting it anytime soon so I picked up a Hrap 4 Kai from Fry’s. Just got an email from Amazon saying the TE2+ will ship Friday and will arrive on Monday.
Gonna test out both sticks to see which I like better then return the other.
Got a B15SDM stick atm that only works on PC/XBOX360. Want to play SFV on my PS4. In doubt what to do:
[] buy Brook’s Universal Fighting Board and mod the stick
[] buy a new PS4 stick
I’m from europe, so buying + importing the fighting board costs me ~130 euro.
a new stick (hori hrap for example) costs me almost the same (150 euro). I prefer Sanwa buttons + stick tho.
Not sure if the Xbox 360 to PS4 Controller Adapter is compatible with the pcb and neutrik usb connector. Perhaps it is worth a try. (Will check the converter thread)
My DP motions sometimes (at least 50% of the time) come out as supers (double fireball motion). It only happens at the end of a combo when canceling from a crouching normal. It’s weird, sometimes it even happens like a second after my input (my fingers have already left the pad).
Would a stick help me improve on this?
Also, I appreciate the input so far about sticks. Is there any reason to go for a TE2+ over the TES+? Price isn’t an issue.
Quick reset in training mode, can set it to reset to different sides of the stage depending where you click the touch pad too.(Similar to Xrd on the PS4 but you have to move the stick left or right while you press the touch pad to reset left right or center of the stage)
This, I got no real answer for you. When people don’t reply on Tech Talk they often don’t have an answer for you.
I say it depends on how heavy handed and how rough you are on your sticks. The current stock of the Mad Catz TE2 is fine in terms of build quality.
But if you are concern with durability, you want the New TE-S + (out of your choices) or even getting a Hori Hrap.
Now I find that Sanwa joystick is too loose for me and the buttons too sensitive. I usually swap out the joystick and buttons to Seimitsu parts, I go with the LS-40 or sometimes the now elusive Sanwa JLW.
For buttons I go with the larger switch Seimitsu screw in buttons, that uses a plastic nut to hold them into place rather than just snapping in like Sanwa buttons.
