What Stick/Controller Should I Buy? Read the Guide on Pg 1 Before Posting

The TES+ is a good stick, you will not be disappointed. The larger plastic side pieces on the original TE sticks really don’t add anything to it.

Thanks, I suspect I will love it, I really do like my current TE so I am sure the S will be great. I really don’t think I will like the hollow feeling of the TE2 that a few people have mentioned, I have seen it mentioned on a few forums.

Edit:

Got to love Amazon they just arranged free collection of the item from me, did think for a moment I could whack it on the market place at inflated cost but i didn’t want to be that guy when folks are desperate to get hold of one.

Could have placed it on the market with a small handling charge for your trouble and been someone’s hero. No need to jack up the price just to sell it.

Hi everybody,
I’m new to VS games (jump into with SF5), I’m on PC, and just want an opinion.

So, I’m not expected to be a pro gamer. I just want to play and enjoy the game, but with low cost.
So I find some stick, and just want to know the best, or more exactly the least bad (I know good stick is 200$…)
Also, I’m in France, so don’t know a lot of “underground” market ^^

Thanks for reading, and for your time.
Cordially

The Mayflash F300 (number 4 on your list) would be your best bet out of that lot from what I can tell. Being compatible with Sanwa parts, you could easily upgrade it down the line- something a lot of cheaper sticks require a huge amount of work to do. Also, having xinput as an option is occasionally handy for pc gaming.

Hey guys, I’m another guy completely new to the entire fighting game scene and I’m looking at buying my very first stick. Like Wargame above, I’m currently looking at the new madcatz TE2+ and TE S+ and like him I have the same questions :stuck_out_tongue: (TES+ too small & TE2+ not sturdy enough)

After watching various gootecks videos about how to hold a stick I’m sort of convinced that I will have enough wrist/hand space if I got the TES+ :stuck_out_tongue: but I was hoping to hear from some TE2+ users now to hear if the claims of the stick being hollow or flimsy are accurate or being blown out of proportion

Thanks very much

Hi guys. I bought a venom stick today and am happy with it. Will be even better once modded, Do NOT buy the mad catz alpha, I have held one and it’s ridiculously small/ cheap/ lightweight. I could not believe it really. It’s like a toy version of an arcade stick.

This picture says it all about the size of the Alpha.

Give that kid some whey protein and a VLX B)

And a fucking cable tie. Jesus

I have a Hori stick for the 360 and picked up a TE-2 for the PS4.

It feels fine mate.

Any suggestions on not doing weird inputs on stick? The Hayabusa stick is really sensitive. Like, I do an fb, right? And i’ll have another right input after the punch + right input. Or I’ll do air kicks, which is 2369632 and when I’ll finish it with a 1 or something.

Any suggestions?

For what it’s worth, I’m transitioning from a Hori FC4 pad.

Go into training mode and turn on key display. Do fireballs until you can do it at least 12 times in a row without fail.

Jeez the availability of fightsticks from MadCatz is just horrible. I just don’t get how they dont prepare for such high demand… intentional hype building annoys the hell out of me. I refuse to believe they didn’t see this coming. In NYC area and still cant find any.

Ordered off of NewEgg… hopefully sometime soon :frowning:

I have a TE-2+ on preorder with Amazon. Looks like I ordered 12/30, so I wasn’t sure I’d get it in time. I got on Amazon chat a few weeks ago and was assured I’d get mine shipped out 2/16. The guy even gave me a free month of prime for the confusion.

Come yesterday, nothing shipped. Nobody at Amazon seems to be willing/able to do anything about it. I’m furious, because on 1/30 I still could have ordered somewhere else.

I got mad and ordered a Hori RAP4 Kai from Newegg. Am I going to be sad I did this? I haven’t cancelled my preorder yet.

I am looking to buy my first fightstick. I haven’t used one before so I have no bias or preferences. My options are to wait for the TE2+ to come back in stock, go ahead and purchase the Chun Li version TE2 (in stock) or buy the Hori Real Arcade pro 4 Kai.

Those are the only options I see when I look for PS4 sticks. Which should I get?

I LOVE fighting games. Unfortunately, I’ve been out of the loop for while. I just picked up Street Fighter V, and I also own MKX and Killer Instinct. I really think a fightstick will benefit me.

Hrap 4.

I’d go with the chun te2 if you really want one right this second. it just looks awesome. if you can wait get the tes+.

Have you checked your shipping status on your account? If you ordered before January 26th, you should be getting it this week, if you have two-day shipping. Amazon can’t guarantee videogame accessories like they can actual games for release day delivery (although they apparently managed to botch that up, too, for SFV).

Also, are you a Prime member, or were you at the time you placed the order? I’m not sure if that makes a difference or not, but it might. I placed my order on Jan 22 and it got here today. I kept checking the tracking online and it started shipping on Monday- I think I got email notification about it.
