Just buy a used TE-S, mod it with a Fightboard, buy a plexi from tek-innovations and artwork from @hibachifinal that would make the Shadaloo art look like a preschoolers drawing. =)
I have an HRAP4 Kai and I don’t see any delay… Are you buying Teyah’s bs?
Seriously, lets keep the lag talk in the lag thread.
I am more concern with hard figures in this thread.
Te2 vs Te2+
So i am thinking of ordering one of these but cant make up my mind. The Te2 Chun-li is in stock on amazon and I will have it in 1 day. However, if i order Te2+ from Madcatz, I will probably get it sometime in March. Te2 is only about $20 cheaper
So what do you guys recommend? Is the Te2+ worth the extra $20 and the wait? If i get the TE2, will I be missing out on the touch panel & L3 & R3. Are those even needed in the fighting games that we play?
Is there anything else I need to know about the 2 fight sticks that could influence my decision?
Thanks
Picked up a TE-2 in a sale last year. As boss as your recommendation sounds I’m not sure i can justify that with the missus either.
I am new to Street Fighter (well, i used to play the arcade like 20 years ago). I want to get a stick (ps4/p3) and the only thing that seems available is the new Alpha. Do you have any advise for a stick I can have close to launch? good for a beginner?

As far as buying new goes, if you’re in Europe, get the venom stick. In America, I’d either buy a hori one or wait until you can get a te-s+.
which one is the hori? I saw one but I really didn’t like it.
They have 17 variants of ps4 sticks already. The non silent one without a TouchPad (hrap v4 Hayabusa, I believe ĺ is the one I’d recommend. The ones with a touch pad are suspected of having way more lag. Nothing that would really affect you honestly, but knowing/suspecting it’s there will drive some people crazy.
That said, if you don’t like the way they look, get something you would be happier with.
yea. Either I decide to get the alpha now and the te2 later (if I get into it), or I go with the one you suggest and I pull the trigger now.
You can also get a PS3 stick to tide you over. There’s lots on eBay and they’ll work with PS4. I timed my eBay sale to get rid of my TE-S the day my TE2+ arrives!
Any SoCal OC guys looking for fightpads or the MC Alpha stick, Fry’s Fountain Valley has quite a few. They also had 1 Chun TE2 stick (no TE2(s)+)
I am in the same boat as a few people who posted above about a TE2+ and TE2 S+, from what I gather the S+ has a more solid feel and will be most like my original TE that I picked up with Sf4 came out on the 360.
Anyone who has used both types can you comment on size and ergonomics and portability? All the reviews I have seen seem to go into depth on just about everything but never comment on on how the different design of the TE2+ feels like compared to the TE S+ model. Does the slanted front get in the way or does your wrist lean on it naturally. I also carry mine around a lot in a gym bag and lug it across town, I find the TE a awkward thing to carry and I guess a bigger heavier stick isn’t going to be any easier.
From what people have said about the TE2 S+ is the more solidly built, think I would hate the popping sound and hollow feel of the bigger stick. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve been pretty much living under a rock when it comes to new Madcatz products. So what’s new when it comes to the new TE2+ compared to the regular TE2 (on PS4) besides aestetics? Have been searching with no avail.
The TE2+ comes with a Touchpad, L3/R3 buttons and a wallet sized photo of Markman.
Damn I havent heard anything about this “hollow” feel of the TE2+. I honestly like the Shadowloo TES+ as well, but having that easy latch opening button would be nice as opposed to screwing it open on the S+.
I was gonna go with the TE2+ but after reading these comments… ehhh
Yeah I pretty much came to that conclusion as well, I cancelled my TE2+ while it was on route, never done that before and rather impressed with Amazon’s handling of it.
Got my TE S+ arriving on Tuesday. I did watch a couple of videos after posting last night and noticed that the TE S+ doesn’t have side wedges so am now wondering if it will be too small.
Link to video? I saw a video of Wong and R. Ortiz using it perfectly fine.
Also, are you sure its arriving Tuesday from Amazon? Arent they backordered?
Scrub what I said above, even though my Amazon order this morning stated refused by customer and the item is on its way back to Amazon your refund will be processed in a few days, I get home this evening to find that it has been delivered. That is going to cost like £20 to return in postage.

Sorry what I meant was I had never noticed the TE S+ was a different design compared to my old TE, i.e the TE S doesn’t have side wedges (I think that is what they call them) and as a result is smaller, so I am wondering if the smaller size might have a impact on the ergonomics of it.

This is in the UK, and is coming from Game, it was dispatched on Friday with a delivery for Monday but I changed it to Tuesday so I would be home to receive it.
