The V.Hayabusa spacing is closer to the Q1.
There’s also a newer V.Hayabusa (labeled as PS4/PS3/PC), but I’m not sure how different it is from the older one aside from the new buttons and PC switch/
Okay here’s my dilemma. I bought a HRAP4 Kai a few weeks back for £150. I initially wanted a TE2 mainly for aesthetic reasons but they were all out of stock. Now the TE2+ has come out and they’re in stock for £200 I’m considering returning my HRAP4 Kai and getting the TE2+. I was going to replace the buttons in my HRAP4 anyway so I will end up spending £170 on it altogether if I keep it making it only £30 cheaper than the TE2+. Is this all worth the hassle or should I just keep what I have? From what I’ve read a lot of people prefer the Hori over the TE2 but I haven’t read any opinions on the TE2+. If it was just the lack of a touchpad that was the problem that has been fixed with the TE2+. Also if I keep my Hori and swap the buttons it will void my warranty whereas if I get a TE2+ it will already have the parts I want. I don’t really have a preference when it comes to the joystick gate because I’m not used to either.

It seems like that’s the stick you want, so you might as well go ahead and buy it, rather than throwing parts at the HRAP in an attempt to get it “close enough.” I don’t think there is any technical reason to pick one over the other. Aside from the added touch pad on the TE2+.

I think you’re right. Deep down I know I want the TE2+. I’d essentially be trying to recreate a TE2+ instead of just buying one.
And believe me if I had the money believe me I would buy both
I’m in the market for buying a Tournament Edition stick but I’m somewhat torn. I can get a TE-2 now and I sort of like the Chun-Li one. It looks wider and longer to me, which, if it is, would be a huge plus because I like that, it helps it stay steady in my lap. I’d change out the artwork, though. But on the other hand, I’ve pre-ordered a TE-S+ because I thought I’d want the L3, R3 and Touchpad. Now, though, I’m wondering if it’s really that necessary. Also, the TE-2 seems sort of bigger. What are the difference in dimensions between the TE-2 and TE-S+? Is the TE-2 significantly larger than the TE-S+? Also, are those extra buttons important?
There’s a TE2+ due out at the same time as the TE-S+ that has the touchpad and extra buttons, just so you know.
Anyone know where I can order the new te2 or tes+ and get it on or soon after the 16th. Madcatz and Amazon are both backlogged till march/april.

Better hurry, then. I placed my order on Jan 22 and just confirmed I barely made the cut for release day shipping- that was not even two weeks ago, so they’re going fast. The TE S+ has the same message.
You might want to check Gamestop website, I think they still have the TE S+ available for pre-order, but the TE2+ is not.

Any Aussies out there got advice on where to buy a stick from? It seems like everything is $300+ here for the TE2 and HRAP Kai. Although the Venom Stick is $150, which is cheap, but will most likely cost another $100 or so when substituting parts so that’s hardly worth it.

Are the SFV products not getting shipped until the 16th? You’d think they would release them a few days before so people can have them on the 16th to play the game. I suppose that would require common sense though.
Amazon ships for arrival on release day. They’ll usually ship from a close by warehouse the night before and ensure it arrives on release day.
So does anyone know where the new TE2+ and TES+ sticks will be available for a day one purchase here in Australia? I’m expecting to pay a shit load but am not even sure if we are going to get them here.
I ended up getting on Amazon chat. I ordered my TE2+ around the 23rd of last month. The rep said there was no way I could get release day shipping for a stick, but expected it 2-3 days after release. Don’t know how accurate this is in light of the “April” timeline being thrown around, but it’s something.
That’s exactly what I did, and it is what I was told yesterday. They said as a Prime member, I’ll get two day shipping and that they’ll ship it as soon as it’s released on the 16th. So I’m expecting it at the latest by that Friday, the 19th. I ordered mine on Jan 22 and there was no message about it being unavailable at that time. I asked about that and the rep said I made the window before they ran out, that my order will be filled with the initial batch they are getting. So yours should be good to go as well if they told you the same.
I ordered the TE S+ on February 2nd, and just noticed the disclaimer for April shipment today. I don’t think it was on the item page when I ordered a few days ago. I ended up getting on Amazon chat, and was assured that I would receive my order on the 16th. I even got my Two-day shipping upgraded to One-Day shipping.
We’ll see what happens, but Amazon is usually good about delivering on time. Either way, I have the saved transcript…so if i don’t get it on the 16th, another customer service rep will be getting an earfull. =)
Have you gotten a delivery estimate though? It still says “We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We’ll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.”
I also just got off of amazon chat about my te2+ order. ordered mine on jan 23. was told that it would be delivered within a day. also thinking about ordering sfv from amazon since prime members save 20% plus it comes with Bison alternate which is who I plan on being my main. was told sfv would be at my house on release day. but within a day for the te2+
