The TE2 (Xbox One version), despite Microsoft releasing a Xbox One driver for windows has issues on Win 7 and Win 8. Primarily the RT and LT buttons will not work.
And Microsoft is not fixing it as they state the driver is primarily for their own controllers first, and Mad Catz will say they built everything to the specs provided to them by Microsoft.
Also no one guarantees PC compatibility with arcade controllers, they state their controller was intended for what ever console and not the PC.
I can’t at this time speak of the future PS3/PS4 version of the TE2, there is not enough information yet.
The Razer Atrox, is a Xbox 360 stick and should (key word should) work on PC.
Maybe stotka was talking about parts of build construction, not just the sanwa buttons.
I read on some “reviews” that the buttons of the KI TE2 doesn’t feel sturdy, like the stick bends when you smash them, didn’t hear anything bad about problems with the atrox.
I know that the main components are the same, but one of them must be better than the other. And at the same price -a lot- I don’t want to make the wrong decision
Quick question guys, I’m thinking about buying a HoriReal Arcade Pro. N3-SA but I also want to throw a LS-32-01 in it. Will I need a different mounting plate for it or will it go in as is?
What you are seeing there is the plexi coming up because the holes are oversized. It’s a feature that allows you to remove it to swap in artwork without taking out all of the buttons.
The loose pieces you are hearing inside of the buttons are in fact loose pieces. The plunger inserts of the Sanwa OBSC translucent buttons are floating in there. That is simply the way they sound. FWIW, the new sticks without the LEDs are using regular OBSF buttons like you are used to.
Nothing of that changes the facts that it is an uncomfortable stick to play with and that I never said that it was a faulty unit but a bad design that makes a $200 stick feels like a $30 one and the “wanted design” have a lot of usability problems.
And as no one mentioned that problems in the reviews or post that I saw, I feel obligated to show it to other people so they can avoid my mistake if they are expecting a classic feel stick.
