Cronus Max often drop inputs, lags, is known to break USB ports and is banned at almost every tournament…
You might need a Xbox One controller with the Cronus Max if you want to use the Cronus on the Xbox One, The Cronus will Piggy Back off the XB1 controller for the security bypass.
Darksakul thanks for making this thread it is very informative.I do have a question bout the street figther fightstick i have the se edition of it ps3 version.Would you recommend i mod it new buttons and such or should i just get a te fightstick instead and go from there. And my other question is not related to fightsticks but maybe you could point me in the right direction on this one but i am playing on my 360 ok now here is my question for it do you happen to know if they make like a hdmi to av adaptor or something that would go into a tv then into like a stereo cause i have my 360 and tv setup to where it plays thru the stereo speakers instead of the tv and my stereo doesnt have a hdmi port on there cause that way if i want to watch tv or something i could use my stereo to get the sound from there while watching tv thanks for any advice info you can give on this
I have 3 sticks now. One of my brawl sticks completely went out on me. I have been looking for a stick already dual modded for some time now I was waiting for evo for sales. What do you guys suggest I have a preference of Semitsu but as long as I can change out the buttons later its not that much of a big deal. I was looking to try to spent no more than $150 but if the dream stick comes along who knows. Hitboxes are to expensive because I want a dual modded stick.
I’m looking for a PC stick within the 80-150 dollar range. I assume HORI is the way to go with the “new information” we have, but I just want a solid, good performing stick.
I own a PS3, but most meetups are 360, so it doesn’t matter either way if it supports a console/which one it supports.
I was looking at the Fightstick Pro, but not any more, and VX-SA’s are around 170 shipped from Japan, when you can get a VX-SA KAI for cheaper here in the states.
Madcatz Wii U TTT2 TE-S. Gut it and install a MC Cthulhu or Zero Delay board (I don’t recommend the ZD if you’re going to dual mod, based on my recent experiences trying to rig one up to a DB-25 port). There’s none of the data you’re newly concerned with on the ZD, so you may want the Cthulhu regardless.
Any reason why the Wii version? I looked around and it’s fairly expensive. I could get a another stick out of the gate for the same price, ready to roll out for pc.
EDIT: I found them for a good price, but not better than a gutted fightstick pro. Is the Wii U version easy to mod?
Ah, didn’t know that. Maybe you can find something priced well in the trading outlet. Worst case, you’d have to replace micro switches, which is pretty cheap- although I’d factor in the cost of doing so versus the cost of buying a pro.
Pretty much. Another thing to consider since you’re worried about the lag info is that none of those tests were done on a PC- the result could be quite different.
Pretty much anything from Madcatz, Hori, Qanba/Eightarc will do. If you’re looking at the lower end stuff, I wouldn’t mess with anything other than Madcatz products.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of Qanba Q4RAFs.
Nevermind that dumb lag thread. Besides the disputes over testing methods, there’s no way a human is ever going to feel the difference between 5ms or 15ms of input delay. It’s a cute thread for technically-minded people to nerdgasm over, but doesn’t really have any practical implications.
I’m relatively new to sf4, and looking for a good fight stick for the 360, but due to location I can only order online (preferably through amazon or ebay, but if you guys know any other places to get fightsticks please tell me) . I was looking at either getting a Real Arcade Pro VX SA KAI or a mad catz TE or SE round 1. (I would get a TE2 but I can’t find them anywhere -_- ). Money is also a bit of a problem, is it really worth it to spend the extra $100 for a tournament grade stick or will I manage with the SE or a cheaper HORI model?
I went with a KE edition, as I’ve always been curious about crown, and it’s an easy swap.
It’s PS3, but I can always gut it later with another PCB, and I like the SE box more since I’m used to the smaller Namco PS1.
