Q4 had some PCB issues depending on random luck. Sometimes they burn out in a year, sometimes they last forever. Otherwise, I absolutely adore my Q4RAF.
Isn’t worth it. That stick is sub-standard even for entry level sticks.
The money that would be spent fixing and upgrading that stick could be spent towards a better quality stick.
Well, I have parts on the way for my brawlstick, and I also have a TTT2 TE-S on the way, so I don’t really need another stick. I’ve just kind of caught an interest in collecting/modding these so i’m just browsing for any hidden deals/gems I can find even if just for parts.
There no deals to be had with that junk, only disappointments. It is also grossly over priced. You can get a Hori FS VX/V3 for that price.
I seen the same stick a thousand times over, almost just as many rebrandings. There is a reason I avoided even reviewing the stick, it should not be even under consideration.
At the most, some enterprising modder with years of experience would mod it for a goof, you know just for laughs.
Seems like a lot of people are having trouble with the Fighting Edge lately, might be worth mentioning in the OP (particularly since it was recently dubbed “S-Tier”). Can’t say I’m surprised that the fancy bells and whistles are causing problems.
I want a TE stick bad - had a vanilla fighstick back in the 2009 MadCatz quality problem era, which I modded with Sanwa stuff from LizardLick (yeah those guys, before he started ripping people off). Problem is it’s a bit lightweight and despite swapping PCBs out my jump (upwards motions) stop working for minutes at a time in the middle of matches.
I just don’t want to shell out for something that’s only going to work on the 360, that seems retarded.
is the shaft cover on the brawlstick joystick supposed to fit on the JLF?
On mine the brawlstick shaft cover is bigger than the JLF shaft. I suppose I could just cut it.
EDIT: I posted this in the wrong thread, thought I was in the absolute question thread.
In general you would need a PCB for each system you want the stick to support for.
Now there a few multi system PCBs but they cover mostly older more retro systems.
Cronus Max has issues and I would avoid it unless you want to spend even more on the long run.
Also with the Cronus you would still need a Xbox One controller anyways.
