Bought my MvC3 TE FightStick last week from MadCatz/GameShark and it shipped 8/5. Been watching the FedEx tracking daily as it says estimated delivery 8/12 (Friday). But the tracking hasn’t updated at all since it “Arrived at FedEx location” on 8/5. I’m getting very worried this was lost or taken from the FedEx facility. I’ll wait it out until tomorrow, but I have a feeling I’m going to have to get in touch with MadCatz about it. I was really excited to have my stick and play a ton over the weekend
That’s my hope that it just wanted updated, but the fact there’s no scan that it left the facility makes me a bit nervous. I’ll see what happens tomorrow before I email MadCatz.
Does anyone have the link for a/the guide to modding the Pelican Real Arcade Universal? I’ve found some links via searching, but they’re all the old-style URLs that don’t work anymore.
I can’t help you with the PCB, but I can say that the stick and buttons should be very straight forwards to swap out.
Happ and IL parts are perfect drop in replacements for the Pelican Real Arcade Universal.
You will have to widen the wholes and narrow the thickness of the material around the button area for sanwa buttons to fit.
As for the Stick, it could work but again the thickness of the top panel is against you. It also needs to be routed out from the inside. I would actually recommend a JWL instead of a JLF for your particular stick. Also the screw holes for the stick will not match.
Keep in mind the Pelican Real Arcade Universal was design for American style parts, which is made for thicker panels.
I would also like to thank Darksakul for this thread. It persuaded me to go to gamestop. Not only did I find a WWE brawl stick for $60, but there was a limited edition used marvel fight pad for $25. I have heard mixed reviews about it, but I figured for $25, this was a steal. Even though it’s used it feels great and new, and I even have the original box with it! Plus now I have a stick for me, and a pad in case my friends come over. Who knows, I might use the pad for Mortal Kombat, as I love how it feels for it specifically. Thanks so much!
Well, i came home excited to try my WWE brawl stick. I played it for about an hour and as I turned the stick I felt something snap. It has now sunken into the board and feels like it broke. Should i go back to Gamestop and get a refund, or should I open it up and void the warranty and fix it? It feels almost completely disconnected in the interior but I don’t know much about arcade sticks. I wasn’t really rough with it either…I didn’t jerk it around. O_o
I have 2 young daughters who love to button mash SSFIV on the PS3 pads, and they love it when they knock me out. Its so much fun playing with them.
I was considering of purchasing the Hori VLX. But I would really like to get 2 sticks, and was thinking of getting two of the Hori’s rap v3 SA.
So… with that budget, which would you pick to purchase ? 2 x Hrap v3 SA… or 1 Hori VLX , and then wait for another time to get another stick ?
Shipping to Australia from Amazon is a bit costly, therefore at this moment in time, its one or the other.
