any decision on the actual purpose of the thread? that is, what the project will be? in reference to the random japan footage, i know i wouldn’t lose sleep over not knowing exactly who played in the match, so posting those wouldn’t seem too hard and people could still enjoy the footage.
Honestly, folks, read this post carefully. A great example of failure because of a blind devotion to frame data numbers. Didn’t we see this before? Wasn’t there an awesome-cool poster named kcxj who already went down this path? Did I already foreshadow something like this happening in the past? Search my posts, I saw this coming months ago. What’s to figure out? Vega changes his game completely when against K players. He still runs away but you can’t blindly poke from proper ranges because his pokes can be easily punished. It’s not just about range because Vega’s recovery frames are so long you can literally hit his limbs like they’ve just whiffed.
There’s a big difference between Vega’s inherit recovery problems and blind use of frame data. KCXJ did a whole bunch of useless calculation and theorizing like calling chun’s standing strong I think at -1 “average.” Anything at -3 is almost completely unpunishable but we’re talking -13 and worse disadvantage here. I have also punished RC ball on numerous occasions because vega’s low to the ground and its timing isn’t weird like that of rc psycho or rc hurricane. I s.fp a JD’d c.fp or c.mp and punish w/ a super on reaction with cammy all the time as well because you literally have days.
yea saw that one long time ago, didnt help me one bit, still see king as the worst character a fighting game could have, maybe if buk does a tut it might change my perspective on this useless char
Reading through your Frame Data guide: http://www.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/562704/28665 you said you might to write an indepth guide of how to cover up a frame disadvantaged move. You still keen on doing that? Im sure I speak for a lot of people in that we would be interested to read that.
