I’m saying certain character combinations are completely out of the question if you have any serious desire to win.
But more importantly, I think the X-factor mechanic really ruins the game.

Sure he shouldn’t of brought out all three characters for a Hyper … But really? Game over from one mistake? How is anyone supposed to take the game seriously?
You’re saying rushdown can’t beat keepaway, which is absolutely untrue.
I didn’t say rushdown could not beat keep away. You can either quote me saying so or keep making inferences to my reasoning.
Of course rushdown can beat keep away, if … and that’s a big if, they get in … You also conveniently ignored refuting my point about X-factor.
It’s a fun game, don’t get me wrong, but people who are saying the game is cheap do have a point.
That’s a new thing. Or even a rare thing… in any fighter where you have to pick multiple things there’s going to be bad combinations, ones that require a lot more effort to win with. You mention SF4, which is relatively balanced, but even in that game, if you pick a bad character and/or the wrong ultra, you’re going to have a harder time winning.
I’m not seeing a problem here. I guess maybe if you’re from an SF4-esque background and expect mistake punishment to be very, very minimal it looks obscene though.
The game is cheap as hell. It’s supposed to be cheap. Many of us want it to be cheap. Cheap is good.
here’s where I disagree though.
If you’re winning without effort, that’s probably because the person who’s losing is bad.
Earlier today a friend invited me to his lobby to play with him and his friends. While I dominated the room everyone still having fun. Sadly he didn’t make the lobby private so we got a few randoms. One in particular who I easily beat zoning with Chris. He had a mic and started cussing me out after the match was over. Calling a “bitch”, “pussy” and “I need to learn how how to play”. We all laugh at him and eventually rage quit the room. Fun times
Played against some guy who was chris/dante/deadpool. Against my zero/sentinel/tron team. All he did was sit back and shoot guns so i switched over to sentinel and went into flight mode over his gun shots and comboed him 100%, next character comes out i sit and turtle using assists and sentinel beams/:qcb::l: and basically zoned him out till he switched to deadpool who he was actually decent with his keepaway, so i went up to him, he called out his dante assist and i comboed both with a short combo into HSF XFC into HSF into :qcf::atk::atk: into DHC into zero, and raped him.
Sent me a message saying
“what a pussy scrub brainless sentinel”
To which i responded “says the guy sitting back shooting guns the whole game”
he sent a message back saying that guns are fair but beams are cheap.
I just lol’d

I actually sent some mail today. After playig a kid who had Ryu/VJoe/Doom and literally did NOTHING (I kid you not) but Hadoken/Voomerang/Plasma Beam. I managed to beat him and sent him a short and sweet “…seriously?” after the match. Rather annoying.

Apparently, people do indeed hate Arthur. I’ve not gotten anything particularly nasty, but hateful nonetheless.
I find it odd that my initial team seems to be working out rather well, being Arthur, Akuma, and Zero. Usually wind up tagging Akuma right at the beginning, but Arthur seems to be really useful against those who aren’t very experienced.
By only true weakness, though, is Iron Man. I’ve run into several guys who just spam his Laser-shot (I forget the name), which I have NO idea how to get around, other than high-jumping and hoping for the best. Sadly, this almost always predict it, and use his Energy-ball-thing (again, forgot the name; uses it above his head?), which they can usually juggle me until dead, or the hit-stun just wears down enough to get out of.
I know it’s changing topic, but any tips for what I’m doing wrong? Or if I should rotate someone off of my team?

Anyway, so far all I have is one rage quit, but a couple of nasty message on PSN, here’s the samples:
“Keep away pu##ies, stop staying away” (note: I was using Hulk/Trish/Haggar and just gamma wave him while he spam with deadpool happy trigger…)
“your hagger combo is broken, stop cheating…” after I practically OCV some dudes’ gouki/dante/chun team with the same team above with Haggar’s “Peace Metal Pipe” combo. BTW: I reply to him that tell him to look for Floe’s video on haggar, then talk to me again…He never did.
People just need to understand somethign in general: THIS IS A FRIGGING VIDEO GAME, stop having NaCl attack (that’s salt, btw) when shit just doesn’t go your way…learn from the Navy SEALS: Adapt and Survive.
Daemon: when u have gouki/akuma, try doing the air fireball super if you can when the Unibeam start, Iron will stop doing that crap repulsar blast after getting hit a couple fo times (if they’re smart…which I doubt)

Why do idiots get the notion that people automatically use simple mode because they’re doing decent, consistent combos? I was playing a guy who kept losing and every time he lost, he would send me this: “keep on mashing bitch” and “simple mode all the way bitch” He would never block, so I would always get in and combo his ass off. He was finally catching up in the wins and I couldn’t take his stupidity anymore, so I quit the lobby and he sent me “STAY FREEEEE BITCH” Btw, I was running Spidey/Deadpool/Taskmaster.
I ran into him a couple of times in SSFIV and he acted the same way. His name is faceplantu and whoever plays on PSN should know who I’m talking about…ridiculously salty.
Beat a guy and he rage quit before his Dante could finish losing to my Phoenix pre transformation. He had 100 wins and 89 losses. He was a lower rank than me and I only have a fourth of his wins.
I sent him a message and he wouldn’t stop replying.
ME: Aw, poor baby. 100 wins and still worse than me. Go back to CoD.
HIM: i don’t play cod you same move bitch learn how to play game
ME: Get zoned scrub. Maybe you can beat your sister at Mario Kart.

Got sent three lengthy voice messages from one person calling me trash and skill-less for “spamming” Hsien-Ko’s armored assist. I may have used it 4 times during the entire match. I didn’t really need to make many of my own openings against this guy as his master strategy involved repeatedly and blindly using Ryu and Akuma’s Tatsu’s and Chun’s Lighting kicks both on point and as assists with no real follow up.
Just sent him a message back that said “Bye-bye! :3”
I never expected to get so many hate mail because of my Chris Redfield.
