Played this one guy… it was interesting. We didn’t exchange any words but I can tell he got nervous.
We only played three games. He beat me the first two times but I finally figured out his gameplan (I’m new to fighters so it doesn’t come too naturally to me). The last game I almost beat him but he gets me with some random Maximum Wesker. He refused to rematch after that. I guess you keep on playing until people adapt and you move on, huh? No such thing as evolving your playstyle.
I’m not claiming to be good but seriously, who does that? I kept on rematching because I wanted to see how well I could adapt. Apparently this guy got scared.
Give me a call, for I can prosecute this guy for free, just for the lulz. Attorney at Law at your service. And no, this is no damn pun.

Today a Guy on the mic started to make noises of what I believe it’s regurgitating and said “Waste of Flesh”.
Best Shuma-Gorath act I’ve ever seen if not the only one…And for the record I won the match by chipping him to death while he was on Chaos Dimension mode.
From now on whenever I see Shuma-Gorath I will remember this history. Forever.
This guy last night keep mashing buttons and doing random spam moves. I just sat back and spammed him with Dante. He kept getting hit by mini rockets and other projectiles. After I beat him five matches, he’s like ‘oh, stop spamming and running away’. I was like ‘well, you stop spamming and i’ll stop too’.
And then I had a guy ragequit on me when I beat him fair and square in a player match with Sentinel (I’m not an amazing Sentinel but at least I know his combos). No response though.
What with this “youtube player!” bs? I mean really, we’re going to use the best damage combos in most situations unless we want to style on someone. I’m not going to do a different combo everytime if the crap keeps working.
I feel so bad…I was 0-2 against this guy, third game he gets me down to just Tron. I xfactor, kill his Zero and Dorm Assist, force his incoming Sent to block then LV3 him when he lands which kills him. He wanted a rematch but I felt so scrubby I just left and sent him a message saying “skill factor.”
Ran into ‘Crimson Fox 88’ on ranked today. Wish I had been recording matches, my TV sounded very angry at me.
Also, OCV’d ‘Anime Fanatic 88’ and got “cheap X-23!”. We got paired up again and I because I really screwed up I lost both X-23 and Wesker early on. However, I still managed to make a huge come back with just Hsien-Ko. Received “fuck off! stop joining my games!”. We were in Ranked match.
I’ve only got hatemail from one person so far, but on 3 separate occasions (along with a ragequit each time, how he’s not in ragequitter hell yet I have no clue) and they’ve all been nothing but random combinations of “Wesker”, “asshole”, “bitch”, “queer”, and “***”. The dude’s name was chocosamurai or something like that.
Then I played a dude a few days back who said I had the best Wesker he’d seen so far. Made me wonder how many he’d actually played since I’m pretty shitty, but felt good nonetheless.
Me: “No because you sent me a message. You can’t studder in text messages. BTW, you can’t be racist and not know how to spell ‘studder’. You sir aint no charlie sheen.”
Guy: “What? look, I bang seven gram rocks and finish them, because thats how I roll.”
I haven’t had any hatemail in a while… let alone ragequitters. I’m finding a lot less people play like ass, so perhaps I’ve just been fortunate to come across some good natured players.
Nothing but good news in my box and since there’s no news like bad news, I’m not gonna post it.
Awesome! After 287 ranked matches, I got my very first real hate message. Since it’s my first I feel like I should share it, though it’s not really witty or memorable, nor is it after I won, but anyway: MajinGoten454: maybe you would win if you quit playing like a puss. He barely squeaked out a win, and I thought it was a good match, until he started talking trash. I was using Trish. I offered a rematch; doubtful it will happen. Hehe.
Also, I believe the chance to get hate mail decreases a lot as you go up in rank. Everything I got in the past was from player lobbies, and it took 287 ranked matches to get one person crying. Everything else I have gotten in ranked has been some sort of “GG” message. Anyone else have similar experiences or am I just lucky?
I think the reason theres so much hatemail in this game is because the game is so simple and noobish. I mean I have a 81% Win rate in ranked, but I have to admit alot of my loses come from people who have no idea what they are doing and catch me with a couple Lvl3 xfc combos or who just do random supers. Yesterday I was playing and destroying this guy and then his ryu comes in with 5bars and he xfcs and literally just supered/chipped out my last 2 chars. Could be said its my fault for not saving my xfactor, but at the same time I dont really see his win as taking any skill.
I don’t know… that rational sounds a bit like that of the people who send people hatemail to call them “noobs” for winning.
Ryu’s beam hyper is one of his primary tools for buying time, pushing back, and yes, chipping out. If you beat the guy senseless, saw him not using meter, and sitting on 5 hypers… why would anyone, regardless of skill level, NOT try to save themselves if they had five meters and their last man standing had a hyper move which acted as a last-ditch panic button?
If your win rate is so high, and you didn’t get that win rate by just using Sentinel and some extreme noob-buster tactic to rack up kills… not sure you can complain about falling asleep and eating random hypers!
Ha ha… well, to be fair to the poor sucker, Wolverape online can be frustrating if the victim is suffering input latency and hasn’t developed anti-lag timing on blocking, advancing guard, etc.
I don’t know how many Wolverine, Zero, Akuma teams I have faced and signed at when the match turns laggy and that team just performs total rushdown rape with the same sequence over and over. I don’t send hate mail or really get angry; it’s an exploitable, basic tactic when playing online due to the nature of the game. But it’s extremely frustrating until you figure out how to deal.
Like I said before. Could be said its my fault for not saving my XF. I never said it wasnt. My point was just that it didnt take much skill to just spam hypers. Never said I was a noobish tactic or lame. In the context of MvC3 that was good strategy. Just compared to good fighting games its way easier to do. Also I dont send hatemail and I REFUSE to use sentinel. Not because im someone who whines about sentinel but just because personaly I feel like hes a character people pick to make winning easier and more free. Just like Justin Wong says. Sentinel is like people who want to win with less effort and skill. Im fine with it I just personaly choose not to use him. I also use Guy in SSF4
