"what other players msg you after you beat them" SF4 Edition

Been lurking for a bit, but I just had to register and post this psn message. I beat the guy with dan, and then several times with chun li. He didn’t even win a round.

||SOLIDSNAKE||:
fight dude dont grab lucky u play at home u kicked out for that at evo i gave u all those matches for the last rounds ur a shame, meet me at evo 12-21st bond st at LA $30 entry prize $2300 this year lets see how u fight good luck P.S 3 grabs and timeover without a callout is a elimination

I had to read it several times to understand what he was even trying to say…Poor guy, the dan beat down must have thrown him into shock.

I so happen to be a froggy, and what that man said was : “You bastard you stink bum”…
:coffee:

I think he doesn’t like you

There are no unwritten rules, and rules of conduct or anything. If it in the game, and if its useable within the game without outside methods (hacking engines, etc) THEN its legal. Just because you are too stupid to get around a certain tactic, it doesnt make it cheap and unfair, it just means you arent thinking it through. And of course people will use cheap tactics to win, dont you know that BP is ttly srs business?

Throwing tons of fireballs? Air fireballs? What does it matter? FADC through that shit and beat that Akuma player down. Or dash under a few, absorb a few. If you get too predictable, he will change the angle. Chances are if thats all he does, his close up ground game sucks ass. Or maybe hes just trying to wear you down so that when you do get close, he’ll fuck you up royally. Then again, if you cant get past simple fireballs, then whats the difference.

Dont you love beating a scrub Shoto and during a rematch they run for Sagat as fast as they can? xD

Oh its you! I can see why scrubs would get mad at your hilarious runaway dan.

I love it though, its so funny to watch.

That dude thinks evo is in la? Whaaaa?

A Honda played ranked against my, blanka and won. Then he joined again and lost against my Sim and sent me “fuckin pussiest i ever met MARIKON”

Oh, ha! I remember fighting you tonight as well. Good to know someone is getting a kick out of my dan. Win or lose its always good for a laugh.

I don’t see why anyone would think there should be any honour in Street Fighter. Look at the name. It’s a street fight, not a boxing match. Try getting into a street fight IRL and using that logic.

“Stop using that punch! I don’t know how to block it!”
“WTF stop cheesing with that elbowing move.”
“I consider your use of that bottle to be very cheap, and so even though I am unconscious with an open head wound, you are the real loser of this battle.”

There are no rules in Street Fighter. Just be glad they didn’t put in a command that makes your opponent’s five pals jump you or the police show up and you have to play an interrogation sub-game.

qft, whenever I feel like messin around and I use Dan, I usually get a positive message after, win or lose

win

I think right now it’s almost a tie between “Nice Gen” and “you did the same thing over and over” (which usually comes from an angry Akuma player that I didn’t let zone me to death or jump into his ultra).

instead of calling me a baby in every follow up post. how about someone be a good samaratin and step up to join a party with me and school me on this “new age of fighting tactics” everyone is embracing. a few other kids i befriended online have given me constructive critcism already and i appreciate all instances. if someone can show me something that i can benefit from, why should i knock it??[/quote]

I was like you once, and more recently then I care to admit.

Throw. Throw your opposition every time it is your best damage option. Throw your opposition every time it will put them in the corner, and everytime they wiff certain specials. Don’t look at throws as a defect in the game, but use them as a tool to make you a better player.

I gurantee you that if you start doing this it will improve your game and YOU will be thrown LESS because in attempting to throw you’ll tech if people are trying to throw you.

Good luck.

“WORD NIGGA???”

I keep running into messages like this. I’m still baffled over the “la crips nigga” I got a few weeks ago after I lost.

Throw more sonic booms next time.

-No, dullard. More like a Renoir paint brush! (Orlando Bloom, Heath Ledger and Jesus LoL  are who I’m likened to most…seriously!)

-You idea (/delusion) of ‘competitive’ is spamming soporific, Fischer Price, scrub friendly, exploitative moves round after nauseating round and then vaunting on your pseudo elitist fight game forum that you ‘owned another scrub… HA HA HAA!’. Do I really need to tell how much fail is contained in your otherwise empty vessel of a self…?

-I banned MYSELF from the Wii-ified site nigh on a year ago, FYI. Got fed up with getting moderated by fanboys for sending dingleberries like you home in the proverbial body bag for trying to cross swords with someone patently way out of their league!
You’ve been warned! <_<

Yes. Such is Down’s Syndrome!

Wear your ‘anti cheese’ colours with pride my comrade!
:china:

novakin,
lol i used to be like that too, i never sent hate mail or nothing i jus hated throws.
but that was a couple years back, now i on my play to win shit. i learned cheap is just a word that shouldnt exist in fighting games, i mean unless is a glitch or its broken. Just learn to tech throws like I did and fireball spamming shouldnt even be an issue. I love when people fireball spam it gives me the advantage in ways you wouldnt know yet.
Im not flaming u or nothing its not my style but when you get play to win on your mind and learn nothing is cheese, you WILL become a better player, and not just at street fighter but at life in general.
peace.

Ooo a wordsmith!

Yes, moves you don’t know how to counter are called exploits. Your right.

Please stick around here a bit more. Your so full of yourself. I love it!

“men why you yes ok???”

Wrong. Something that is inordinately difficult to counter and plays on issues of lag, game imbalance, inordinate ease of execution compared to applicable counter measures… THIS is an ‘exploit’. You can usually tell and exploit from a fair tactic by the fact that the lowlife doing it will spam it ad infinitum, until you’re either KO’ed, you DC (*smarter option!) or are sent into a boredom induced coma!

It’s like saying hiring a prostitute isn’t exploitative because she consents and is paid – wrong again. It IS exploitative because you’re taking advantage of an (/their) unfortunate circumstance(s). You have a choice to get your rocks off another way… a more dignified way. Just as you would in the case of mashing a hapless corner trapped ‘Claw’ user buy spamming jabs and dash punches repeatedly with ‘Baboonrog’ for example.

A nice fellow recently sent me an image with his erected middle finger.

I think he was angry cause I bashed his Zangief with my Guile. Crazy people nowadays. :wasted:

EDIT: Looool, I just noticed, this guy is posting in this thread!

Exploit Tactic: Mashing jabs (pressing punch repeatedly)
Counter Measure: Block (hold a direction), input a reversal special (do one move), throw (press two buttons)

Exploit Tactic: Throwing repeated fireballs (QCF + punch, once per second)
Counter Measure: Jump (press up, or up-forward, once per second), block (hold a direction), throw a fireball yourself (same input as exploiter), throw a special that counters fireballs (typically no more complex than QCF + punch), focus attack (press two buttons)

Exploit Tactic: Repeated throws (pressing two buttons until it works)
Counter Measure: Jump (press up), tech the throw (pressing two buttons), reversal special (QCF + punch or equivalent), dash back (press a direction twice)

… yeah. “inordinate ease of execution compared to applicable counter measures” my ass. If you’re having trouble jumping over fireballs because of some execution barrier, there are bigger problems here than losing a SF4 match.

Mashing jabs: not an exploit.

Throwing repeated (:wtf:) fireballs: not an exploit.

Repeated throws (:wtf:): not an exploit.

I’m not certain what “repeated fireballs/throws” are, but if you meant throwing fireballs or using throws repeatedLY (conjugation is your friend!) then no – of course they’re not ‘exploits’. It’s how those fireballs and throws (in particular) are employed. eg, ‘tick throwing’ repeatedly.

Verdict: Get off the weed!
