His FDP was shutting down the stuff I usually do, so naturally I thought he was throwing it out whenever he could. Why not capitalize on that?
I’m finally getting back on track in this game. I think I was just getting too caught up in the rush of playing competitively. Today I have forced myself to play very withdrawn and calmly and it has paid dividends.
I’ve dropped a match to a spazzy Sagat who rushed me down in round 3 and won, but other than that I’ve been playing solid. Not on fire, but reliable.
Anyways, I did get some hatemail from “PrinceVegeeta” on XBL. He’s another flowchart Ken. Obviously between the Ken-ness and the DBZ screenname I was bound to get some hate from him.
I beat him in two rounds, he did a little damage by landing a couple fierce srks but mostly I just blocked and DPed all his jump-ins. I did happen to tick throw him once or twice during the second round but it really wasn’t crucial to the match. Anyways, I get this afterwards:

I didn’t have my headset on so I don’t know if he was yelling at me over voice during the game, but I wouldnt’ be surprised.

Was playing against a Vega (claw) a few days ago. I had my mic muted, he had his on and was not alone (could hear him and others talking).
Anyways, first round. I play with Ryu and had not yet encountered a good vega player so didnt know what to expect. First round he was avoiding getting close and used his air moves alot. At the end of the first round he pulled of an ultra and won the round. HE and his friends where laughing really loud and trash talking me (“you trash, go pick someone else”, “noob”, etc).
2nd and 3rd round I enabled my mic and rushed his ass and gave him three different combo’s with FADC in it. AFter winning the 2nd round I asked him why he wasnt laughing anymore. He said his brother played the round and I was going to get some asswhooping in the third. In the third round I perfected him and said GG, rematch anytime after which he said:“Go f*ck yourself you cheap basterd”. Lol.
Of all the other matches I played I only received a GG from players who pull of amazing combo’s and have 3k BP and more…
At least he finished. He disconnected with me.
It’s weird cause I haven’t had any hate messages yet, only “gg’s.” I did have one guy ragequit on me when I ultra’d through his Tigershot 
Believe! Have had a couple of messages saying the same. Man, I’d wear that dress myself if I had the thighs to pull it off.

Unfortunately I’ve had absolutely no hatemail whatsoever - everyone’s really nice. Without meaning to be antagonistic are most of you in here American? I believe I have encountered some of your ilk on COD4 and it’s always the xxSNIPERFECKYOMOMMAxx lot as someone mentioned earlier. Playing at sensible UK times (early evening, late night) most people are totally sound. It’s really surprised me, actually.
^^^ Totally agree. I got pasted last night (my Claw vs his Sakura) and sent him a gg. I get a long reply saying words to the effect of: “Definitely - Vega’s my second and you’re WAY better than me with him.”
And this guy had literally spanked me all over. We are now of course friends

The way he played, was to get a hit in, and then turtle on the other side of the screen with random headbutts and turnaround punches.
Apparently if you set the “Custom Ranked Match” thing to find more skilled people, you endlessly fight against Blanka, Balrog, Sagat,Ryu, and Honda.

I got a message complimenting my Gouken, which was flattering and felt good since I was on a hot streak that night.
Also got one from someone else with “WTF was that all about? gg”. He’d proceeded to perfect me in the first round with nothing but crossup combos and me standing there taking it like a deer in head lights. The second round was close but I pulled it off. The third round, something in my brain clicked and I put it on him, probably played the best I’d played all night and perfected him with the clock under 80.
That was a good night.

Lol I think you misunderstood me. I was saying I couldn’t do jack against him because of input delay. Usually, I block FDP then counter (throw or whatever), but when I faced mr conebeast187, there was too much lag which created input delay (so I couldn’t counter his FDP spam and thus lossed the match).
I tried staying back and [EX]SB him but input delay was making it far too harder than usual (I would charge it but it didn’t recognise; sometimes it would but after a second too late…). Lag was a bitch that match (FDP can be countered, but add on lag/input delay, and Guile gets screwed over big time)
I hate lag. Maybe ever more than FDP.

So apparently I learned today that throwing Boxer with Ryu, like specifically in that matchup, is not fair. Because apparently Boxer has such a bad matchup that adding throwing into the mix makes the match completely unwinnable for Boxer? I don’t know.
Oh well, at least I didn’t get called a pussy this time I suppose. :wonder:
