I cannot for the life of me grasp why so many players complain about throws. They’ve been around since early fighters and have a clear function in the game…crickey!

Ha I got this message from some idiot the other day, I was playing vega and he was ken and I was poking him to death and walldiving his ass and he couldnt do shit about it, then he sends me the message: Biggest amout of spam I have seen ever. To which I replied: Thats just two simple moves than any half decent player can counter and win against and not get pwned with.

I’m not really complaining about them as much as I was curious. The problem back in the SF2 days was that a throw did a ridiculous amount of damage and was thought of as being a last ditch effort to win a match. That obviously isn’t the case any longer, it’s just hard to break from the thinking that it’s underhanded.
I certainly don’t complain when someone gives me a beat down either, if I was in a position to get thrown then I deserved it!

I got one from a red Ken player that I beat with Sagat that stated the following.

I responded with “I love blocking shoryukens and then grabbing you by your blonde hair when you land and then kneeing you in the stomach three times.”
He responded with “Fuck ya dawg.”
Some guy was shouting ‘Chicken’ down the mic at me as I landed headstomp after headstomp on his Ken. Obviously not heard about blocking then. I headstomped him some more, just to get the point across.
My previous post was more so directed at people who somehow consider it “cheating”. Throws are pretty commonplace now. Back to thread…
The only interesting comment I’ve received was someone noting that they had never seen a Dhalsim being played and that they thought he was hard to use. Sim needs some love. I think I’ve seen maybe 2-3 in 600+ matches.

Agreed, i usually switch to one of my alternates now and again or choose a weaker character, rather than keeping with my mains, just to let the other guy feel like he’s got a chance, cos it’s tough to get a decent game in SF4 online.I do play to win most of the time, but i sometimes prefer having a good game and losing narrowly to a good opponent than easily beating a scrub who’se using telegraphed fierce DPs all day.Win or lose, i will GG anyone who rocks me hard online.
Also, to the posters complaining about scrub kens using predictable “flowchart” tactics-If you’re a better player, then stop bitching and teach them a lesson instead.To me, these scrubs represent “FREE BATTLE POINTS”-if they’re predictable then teach them not to be by picking a punish combo, and hitting them hard with it, EVERY time.After eating about 2 or 3 of the EXACT SAME punishers, i guarantee your scrub will start to play a lot more conservatively and think a little more before they hit that flaming DP or pointless hadouken, or whatever.If they don’t, then just take all the BP they’re willing to throw away on you till they drop out, and realise they probably won’t be playing SF at all a year from now.
Unfortunately SF4 is still in the public eye.90% of the scrubs will disappear and move on to the next big game in a few months, and the ones that don’t might actually turn into viable competition with some practise, so ride it out for now until the game distills it’s player base down to just core players, and if you bump into someone that needs some schooling, don’t whine, teach.

Seriously. Here’s the best hate mail exchange I received when this scrubby ken quit out. He was sitting back trying to turtle against akuma. TURTLE AGAINST AKUMA? GTFO! I destroyed him and when he came in, I kept doing RH - cr.lk - tatsu - SRK combos. He quit on round 3.
I sent him a message saying "awww, afraid to lose your precious BP scrub?"
