"what other players msg you after you beat them" SF4 Edition

lmao.

What’s the etiquette on throwing by the way? I’m getting thrown all the time and pisses me off! At the risk of dating myself, back in the 90’s when you actually had to play someone standing next to you, if you threw someone it was considered bad form. I always thought this was common knowledge and they even made it harder to do in SF4 (Two buttons) yet people still do it like its free. What gives?

lol… the etiquette on throws is don’t whine about them. They are in the game for a reason. Learn to defend against them. Throws are not, and never have been, cheap. I don’t care if all the person did was throw you left and right… it’s not cheap. Learn to defend it.

because inducing rage is hilarious?

throwing is part of the game. It might be annoying at times but its fair. Try to work on your tech throws.

Quoted for truth.

I’ve not had a bad message on PSN yet, altho i’ve been called “chump” once by someone, most likely in a humorous manner. So far, things have been pretty smooth, even when i had a few perfects. Occasional ragequits here and there, but never any crazy messages. I’ll be sure to post mine if i get any

u have no idea how true this really is, its gotten to the point where u have to purposely lose to keep ppl on the leash so u can have a “gg”

Throw, throw, throw. If your opponent complains over the mic you bet I’m throwing them every chance I get.

This got me giggling a bit (sorry if I added my corny story).

I’m practing Ryu so I can get good enough to main. I’m doing training mode to Link/Land the simple shoryuken cancelled into a super then followed up with an ultra combo and did pretty well.

So anyways after testing out a couple of easy linking combo’s on some cpu’s, I started to test it out on online public games. Due to the lag, it was pretty frustrating trying to link my moves. So anyways after a couple of matches I played a guy who used gouken and he was landing some pretty good basic chain moves. I was struggling sooo bad the final round and he eventually brought me down to a single chip bar of health and he had 50-60% of his health. I started spamming hadukens like mad man(sorta) and eventually he gave up blocking and started dashing after me (OH SHIT). So surprisingly I quickly landed a random j. hk, hp, shoryuken cancelled into a super and followed up with an ultra K.O. That shit got me cheering lol.

**Message :

Him: o_0…Well FUCK…
Me: Hahahaha, gg man I’m so sorry!
Him: Haha, don’t be…**

I was doing doing the Fight Request achievement, and out of the 9 people I beat during the achievement (I lost once against a Bison player during a failed attempt to try Sagat out) I got 1 hate message. I beat a random Ken flow charter with Akuma and he told me that I need to learn how to play instead of buying costumes for a guy that doesn’t wear pants, lol.

I got my first hate mail yesterday.

It was from a shitty Jap Abel player who somehow had 4k BP.
I guess he was pissed that he lost to a Zangief with 500 BP.

No idea what he is talking about, maybe I should post it and have someone translate it.

How do you know he wasn’t complimenting you?

Don’t worry…you’re already on your way to being a way better player than him by coming to this website. He definitely wasn’t that good if he sent a message to someone who’s barely played the game about how bad they are. It’s like an average chess player beating someone who’s never played and going “wow…you’re ass at this u should stop playing”. When there’s like 50 levels of play higher than the one he is at. People with those kinds of mentalities don’t have what it takes to be top players. He probably thinks there’s no level higher than the level he is playing at.

I got my hatemail cherry popped about 15 minutes ago by a real winner by the GT of “gtznumba1stunna”

I was playing as Vega and he chose Cammy. He kept trying to jump in with a rh followed by a crouching rh, so once i figured it out I was blocking all of it. I abused the wall dive (using it to bait him into a spiral arrow and then punishing him with throws and c.mp). I finished off the last match with perfect after baiting him and then going df.hk, c.mp, ex wall dive izuna drop to which I got this lovely message…

“fuck u faggot y dnt u play fair, all u did was dat supid bullshit claw move”

to which I responded…

“Good thing I wasn’t using the rest of his moves…”

haha…I’m not even that great…I’ve only got like 1100 BP and I main vega. I guess everyone thinks you’re supposed to just stand there and get hit

A lot of people already quoted and replied to this, but I think it needs to be asked:

If I can’t throw a blocking player, how the fuck am I supposed to deal any damage?

Is being called "Garbage "a new slang way of saying “nasty"or"sick”(from Mass. You guys are wicked sick, your shit is nasty…is a compliment .)I dont follow tha hip hop.
I smashed this "jump around fireball is unbeatable"Akuma and he said “damn, your garbage dawg”.

Winning is so cheap.

I’m guessing no, unless your being sarcastic. But sounds hella like an insult dude. Talk shit back, its how we get better, its how we live, and its how the comunnity grows.

I laughed, considering the only games MLG would ever really consider throwing into their rotation are FPSs; perhaps they realize that Evo (well, and whatever the CGS decides to pick, though they chose DoA4 last year) is the place for fighters.

As for the garbage comment… isn’t that what UrbanDictionary is for?

LOL, if throwing was “illegal” they wouldn’t have put it into the game in the first place. Bullshit kids.
